I have lived in Washington since 1976 The Mountains, ocean, lakes, waterfalls, hikes, camping, ATV trails are spectacular but the leadership and far left politics are destroying this state.

Walkable? Safe? There’s not a single part or neighborhood that I’d walk in.

Hi - Is it pretty quiet in Port Orchard / Bremerton area ? What I mean is: Traffic noise before 6am and after 8pm, Neighbors' yard work stuff (lawnmowers, chainsaws, digging so on) Neighbors' cars with poor engines Military jets flying too low and shakes homes Other noises that are too loud. I live in Skagit County right now and the noise pollution has risen 2 years ago, especially the military jets, this is why I am asking. I'm looking to move in 6 months. Thank you for all and any input and feedback that you can provide ❤

All parks here are closed 30 minutes after sunset, so trying to walk around (in parks) after dark is more than a bad idea, it's illegal.

I have known from a young age that I wanted to be in the PNW. I mean it was instinct. Finally visited Washington when I was 31 and I have thought about it everyday since. Finally making the moves to make it happen.

How much did you spend at McDonalds? I used to buy food for the 4 of us for $20 (19 years ago). Lately, just my daughter and me spend more like $50 for a meal (Red Robin). Up to $100 for good meal with wine.

The state used to be great. I am inclined to move to Idaho. Not sure that will be a smart move. Same thing is happening there right now. CA is moving in. What state is CA not moving to? I want to know.

As someone who grew up in the PNW in the 70/80's, this is very accurate. Seattle was a sleepy logging town back then and so chill. It is completely different now but still nice. Seattle traffic blows. If you can ride the light rail, do it. Summer is awesome, you basically get 2 days in one it's light so long.

Don't take the bait, you were way better off in Missouri. Crappy politics and insane legal efforts to raise taxes to untolerable levels. I would move back to Missouri in a heartbeat. I lived near Springfield for four years.

Washington state government is in the process of finding their way around the income tax with new taxes on capital gains, unrealized gains, inheritance tax and more.Our state has a committee in place to fight the new Presidents agenda including no tax on tips, no tax on overtime and more. Property taxes can be really steep as well, especially for those on a fixed income.

I honestly been living in Richmond Virginia all of my life born here but i just wanna leave and start a new chapter somewhere else looking on the lines of colorado or Washington state.

WA is so wet all the time, gloomy, rainy, depressing.
