On this day Mike and I got up early and drove to Dillard’s Ferry where we dropped off a car and then drove our truck with the kayaks up to North Maumee. The drive time for us isn’t that bad which makes this 9.3 mile float a great option for a day trip to the Buffalo!

Definitely was a white knuckle ride!
That was great - nice trip and wonderful picture. Sure you had a great time.
Yes, thank you it was amazing. I’m working on the next video where we continue exploring Yellowstone and see 7 bears, a wolf pack, mountain goats and more!
@@evacookadventures I must have missed your other posts re: this trip. I will catch up. Thanks for sharing.
We sure packed a lot into a few short days here.
@21:45 Were those otters? What were those?
Yes they’re river otters. We love watching them play!
@@evacookadventures Thanks. Great video!
@dammbleth2 Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
How in the WORLD does this video not have more views??!? Without a doubt the best video I've ever seen on the Buffalo. Great job!!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it. We sure had fun filming it!
@@evacookadventures Seems like it!!
Yep... Looks like a river in Missouri! any snakes??
I don’t think we saw any that day but sometimes when we go there we see harmless water snakes and an occasional water moccasin.
Hello Eva, I love these videos. I am a landscape painter and would love to paint some of the scenes from this video. I would love your permission to do so. Thank you - Amy Audet
A couple of artists did watercolor paintings of a scene from that video. I’d love to see an oil painting of it. You have my permission and I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos
@@evacookadventuresHi Eva! I have finished the painting. I am not sure how to share it with you on UA-cam. Amy
@amyaudet2891 Oh awesome!
@amyaudet2891 I just saw it on your fb page! Absolutely gorgeous. That was such a great morning for Mike and I. The last sunrise before our adventure was complete!
Im so glad you like it! You made my day!
That was a big copperhead. I live a few miles from here.
I LOVE the scenery you share with us. I am a landscape painter (oil painting). I acknowledge this is your rightful copyright and would not paint without your permission. Thank you for consideration. Happy Adventuring!
You have my permission and I’m glad you enjoy the scenery in my videos! I’d love to see the completed painting when you’re done
Oh thank you soooo much! I will absolutely share the final with you. I just made the same comment/request on another of your videos. Please feel free to disregard. I am so excited to get started!
The Broom Corn Festival was always fun.
Agreed I go every year and I'm so excited it's only 4 weeks away
Great video Eva and Mike. Beautiful journey. I love all your adventures and thanks for sharing with us all.
Thank you!!
The kayak videos are the best keep them coming
Amazing and fun! Thanks for telling your story so well!
Thank you I appreciate the feedback!
Do you remember the river gauge levels. Thanks for the video
I sure don’t remember but I may have taken a screenshot of the levels on BOC website before we left. I’ll see if I can locate it. I remember that it was really really low though.
I couldn’t locate my screenshot but I’m wanting to say the level at Carver was around 5.6-5.7 feet. The river was very close to drying up where it goes underground past Woolum.
This was such a fun section of the hike. Not too many hills to climb and great weather. Many more adventures to come!
This is 100% couple goals! ❤💯
I just never know what he’s gonna do 😂
Love this video. Subbed
Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for subscribing!
Thanks for the sub!
That definitely was a poisonous snake with that big old head
I agree. It looked kind of like a Copperhead
I love the video lots of action and not much talking
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Beautiful! When did you film this? Obvious it's not recent by the vegetation.
This was sometime in May of last year.
That animal was a beaver! Looks like y'all are having a blast! I miss those beautiful rivers in AR...
Hello Eva. Just having a cup a tea and sitting down to watch this video. I know it will be awesome.🥰
Thanks, I hope you enjoy it!
Great video! I'm on that river year round. Blessed to have that gem.
This is one of my favorite places on earth. Been going every year since i was young to that very spot. Hope you enjoy it as much as i do. I see otters when i am down there pretty frequently too.
I can see why you love it so much. We plan to go back there again for sure!
Looks like a great start of another adventure. I really enjoy your videos. Awesome job .
It’s so beautiful there! Really nice
Another fine adventure on the water. Beautiful day and video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Incredible views
Yes, just can’t get enough of it!
What prevented you from completing the trip?
Rising river level and several more days of rain in the forecast. We did however pick up where we left off later and finish it out.
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Hi there, love the video. Can I ask where you started this float from?
Hi Kelly, we started in Ponca at the low water bridge
Nice shot at 5:49! Thanks for putting this out there. Good for you!
Thanks Matt, I can’t wait for spring! Mike and I are itching to get back on the river!
Love this, keep posting your trips. I need to drag my wife out for a trip.
This was such a fun day. Great trail!
What part of the river is this where you docked the kayaks?
We floated from the low water bridge in Ponca and ended up stopping at Erbie Campground
Absolutely love your adventures! My wife and I have kayaks and you all have inspired us to do more. Thank you very much
Thank you for subscribing! I hope to have another video up in a week or so!
your trips are so beautifully filmed and what a beautiful river.
Really enjoyed watching the video. Really good edits 👍 Looking forward to seeing more. I subscribed. If you'd like to see some video of The North Fork River in Missouri, I have several videos posted on my channel. Good luck on your adventures, cheers!
Thanks Dennis, glad you enjoyed the video! I’ve floated the North Fork River once on an inner tube. Definitely plan on going back. Looking forward to seeing your videos!
Gorgeous. Beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing. New subscriber here 👍
Even though we had a couple cold and windy days it was such a fun week. Great job capturing it and putting the video together.
Glad you enjoyed it!
So is that a mounted phone for a camera? I have a go pro and just can't use it.
Yes my phone is mounted on my kayak but Mike has 2 akaso brand cameras (less expensive GoPro) mounted to his kayak.
And on our second attempt we made it to Carver before getting rained out yet again. Headed back out to Carver this Sunday to complete the trip. Wish us luck!!
