Cyberpunk: America, The New United States, and the Free States (Cyberpunk Lore)
TAKEN FROM FULL VIDEO: ua-cam.com/video/d-K9o4hlN6Q/v-deo.html
In Cyberpunk 2077, Rosalind Myers is supposed to be the President of the NUSA. The Cyberpunk franchise has a very elaborate backstory about what happened to America as a country. From the Collapse of the old government to the rise of the Free States, to the tensions between the separatists and the "New United States," there's a lot of lore that CDPR and R. Talsorian wrote and developed to launch stories like Phantom Liberty or like 2077's reintroduction of the Arasaka Corporation with the Unification War.

This is Why I think (in My opinion) the Original Fallout are better than the Bethesda Ones one Character That is Broken by his Past, and there isn’t a Path to Be sarcastic or other things (you have been Kind and Always Tried to Help for Your Mutant Friend) and Also the Factions of New Vegas make more Sense if you join anyone of these (Like The NCR, Ceasar Legion and Mr House) and not some Kinda of Hey I am Gonna Replace Real People with Robots soo No one would Understanded and I recreated the Super Mutants because, Because Yes! (While Fallout 3 and 4 were Fun to play and some of the Quest Were Amazing the Original and New Vegas Will Always have a Place in My Heart).
I am currently watching this as I wanted to watch all the vampire masquerade lore games and books and you seem to be one of them I chose in 2024 as bloodlines 2 is coming in 2025 and I also wanted to take my time in the lore and story.
we get it bro you love robots 😂
Best girl.
What people don't understand is that Arasaka would gladly put troops, tanks and mechanical patrolling the streets, recruiting or conscripted new soldiers just like Militech does in one of the endings.
what is bro saying 😂
Mikoshi is basically a supercomputer matrix like system but unwillingly holding your soul as a slave just like The Matrix. I wonder what role it will play in Orion...well Alt already took all the souls in it and smashed it to smithereens. 😅 Does Arasaka still have the soulkiller program lurking about?
I doubt Mikoshi will play a role in Orion. I'm fairly certain Arasaka does still have Soulkiller, but depending on whether Hanako survived, it might be a huge setback for them (she was the one working on trying to modify Soulkiller in the TTRPG and she dies in any of the tower storming endings). Arasaka COULD always try to rebuild Mikoshi, but in most of the endings INCLUDING the Phantom Liberty ending where V never stormed the tower, Arasaka has still been greatly reduced and ends up downsizing themselves back to Japan. So I very much doubt they'd bother given they'll be busy rebuilding their company. That's one of the things I appreciated about the endings, honestly. Right now in Cyberpunk RED, they've left Arasaka severely weakened and rebuilding. This actually opens the doors to doing Cyberpunk without making the focus of it Arasaka. I kind of hope they do the same in the next video game and just focus more on Militech (or Night Corp).
@EyeofCenter Yes Nightcorp I truly believe will be the big bad and Militech the primary villain with a 5th corporate war on the horizon. Would be interesting if Orion takes place during the 5th corporate war.
@@etherealdreamerart 5th Corporate War likely won't happen with Arasaka out of the picture. That's one of the reasons why I think the Arasaka ending is the worst ending. What'll be interesting is to see where they go with the whole Rogue AI conspiracy though.
@EyeofCenter I think the Rogue A.I.s will break havoc in Orion but the wall will be broken at the end of Orion.
@@etherealdreamerart That would basically turn Cyberpunk into the Matrix without the actual Matrix. LOL. I'm all for it at some point honestly.

@@EyeofCenter Well don't get used to it, I don't have much of an interest in Cyberpunk, even as a genre, let alone the specific game. @@quicksilvertongue3248 If that saltiness is because I spoiled a part of Bloodlines for you, how was I supposed to know you hadn't finished the game? Fucking game came out in 2004, my guy. LOL.
@@EyeofCenter No salt here, just apathy. There are too many damn games for me to care about all of them.
I hope Kress plays a big role in Orion. Maybe a plot to overthrow Myers and take back the presidency.
She's definitely already playing a pretty big role in RED. I'm betting they'll feature her directly in their sourcebooks and whatnot in the future. But it would be pretty cool to have a Militech/NUSA themed video game in the future (maybe Orion, maybe whatever comes later) as a follow-up to Phantom Liberty. And that's where I think we could see Kress in a video game.
@@EyeofCenter Yes. The question is how will she take back the presidency if she wants it back. I'm sure she felt a type of way when the free states and NUSA voted her out.
That's one route they could take. Another route is a remorseful Kress who sees what a monster she created in Rosalind Myers + the NUS-Militech complex that's literally bringing the entire world closer to a fourth world war. Taking back the presidency would be one story they could tell, but they could also do a more personal storyline about how Kress feels personally responsible for causing the Unification War and how she wants to bring down Myers "for the good of America." They could easily explore how much of that is fueled by altruism and how much is fueled by her own personal ambition. And given the writing talent at CDPR, they could easily turn a conflict between Myers and Kress into a story that shows the generational differences between the New United States and the old America. We know from the lore and all the backstory in Cyberpunk that Myers would have been born after the Collapse and she would have come up during a time when the country was already moving closer towards war while Kress actually grew up in the old United States. And even though she was conspiring to undermine and coerce the different Free States around the country, she did everything she could to avoid a full-blown war. She nationalized Militech to make America stronger and to reign in an out-of-control corporation and she took the opportunity to weaken Arasaka to the point where they were no longer a threat to America anymore. Kress on the other hand used Militech to declare a full-blown war that very easily could have turned into the 5th Corporate War. She's actively breaching international treaties and agreements by having Songbird breach the Blackwall. Not to mention that doing so is pretty much endangering all of humanity given how dangerous the rogue AIs really are. I'd love to see a storyline about Kress trying to bring down Myers as "the monster she created" in a sense. In the same vein that Michiko and Yorinobu Arasaka seem to have completely changed course by the 2070s, it would really be a nice way to show a character in a completely different stage in her life. Cyberpunk RED is still ongoing, so we could easily have the hardnosed "tyrannical" Kress causing trouble in the RED era while showing a more somber, more "mature" version of Kress in the 2070s working against Myers. Characters like Kress and Myers usually don't get that much personal development in these kinds of stories, but I'd love to see them use this as a way to dive deeper into the NUS side of the Cyberpunk universe.
@@EyeofCenter I hope CDPR sees this and consults with you on story details. Juicy goodeyness. 😁😋
Biotechnica I bet is cooking up new biological weapons of evil. Biotechinica is a parasite not to be underestimated. I wonder if their experiments have escaped and gotten loose and out there hiding in the shadows. Hope this will be the case in Orion. 😄
In the tabletop series, Biotechnica was considered a "good guy" corporation, but in Cyberpunk 2077 that clearly doesn't seem to be the case anymore.
@@EyeofCenter Nope not at all. When their biological weapons are there wreaking havoc, they'll deny, deny as usual.
The gang of four used the "war on drugs" for their own agenda. The gang of four is the father/birth of this universe essentially. 😅
LOL. If you follow the war on drugs / cartels in real life, a lot of people are predicting the Central American Wars are what's going to happen in real life Mexico. Personally, I'm a little skeptical because people like Mike Pondsmith had the exact same fears about Colombia in real life and yet we all know how that turned out. I think the most likely way any sort of foreign military intervention takes place is if the situation in Mexico gets so bad that Mexico asks for military aid just like the Colombians did in the 90s. I very much doubt the Americans will full-blown invade Mexico. But then again, if I'm proven wrong in the future then I can always come right back and give myself the "Pin of Shame."
@@EyeofCenter We shall see what happens in the future. 😅😂
Gomez is either about to become a Nosferatu or a cadaver. No one takes him seriously, but he knows way too many details to just be left alone.
I've always wanted to do a theory video deep diving whether or not Deb of Night is really Kindred. But all my VTM stuff got lost when a hard drive died and I'm still not sure if anyone would watch something like that.
Aufderhar Square
So, it's like the American Civil War all over again, with Lincoln strong-arming the Confederacy back into the Union?
Pretty much. In RED, the tensions are said to be building up to a "civil war" and then by 2077 a full blown civil war breaks out under a new president. The NUS are pretty much doing everything they can to force the Free States back under their control.
Pls make more
I will eventually. Currently, my entire game is modded into a "New Game Plus" kind of set-up and I'm planning on redoing the entire game.
thx so much for this vidd
What mods are you using
The Dynamo ENB is the first one. I also have a ton of retextures installed that I downloaded from both FNV and FO3 because the two games share a lot of textures and meshes. There's honestly too much to list - and some of these will look different from mine because I've personally retextured some of these files for my own game. But I'd probably start off with things like FO3 Hirezd, FNV Collision Meshes, MG's Neat Clutter, and Textures Over Time.
@@EyeofCenter thx for answer
What mods are you using?
So Mister Tremere meets Ms. Fancy Tremere, she is then staked by Mr. Malkavian, he is staked by Mr. Brujah, the same two then hold them prisoner while Lacroix speaks, Mr. Nosferatu sits behind Velvet Velour as she unsuccessfully flirts with Maxie Strauss, Ms. Fancy Brujah sits in front of Ms. Normal Brujah (or is that Ms. Fancy Ventrue, I'm not sure) in the audience while Lacroix is saying "adjudicator" or thereabouts (the latter will later stand angrily during Nines Rodriguez's outburst), and I think that's Ms. Fancy Malkavian behind Nines and the other Anarchs. That's seven other possible player characters that appear in the scene around the one you picked to play, though at least one entire clan remains completely absent (both the Gangrel and Ventrue in this case, I think, but the former for sure).
Wait, what's this "History" thing? I don't have anything like that in my game.
That's part of the Unofficial Patch. Or at least it was when I was playing in this particular video.
Kress I believe is still doing things behind the scenes. I wonder did Kress ever have a vice president and does Myers have a vice president?
In Cyberpunk 2020, Kress used to be the Vice President before the first NUS President was killed in 2019. I've always thought Kress was one of those TTRPG characters that's far too underutilized in the metaplot. Just like Michiko Arasaka or characters like Jenna Cross and whatnot in the VTM series. I'd love to see more of Kress in Cyberpunk RED. Or an old Elizabeth Kress in one of the Cyberpunk video games.
@EyeofCenter Yes I'd love to see Kress back. Maybe she finds out about Myers plans with Cynosure or she wants to take the presidency back from Myers and goes against her covertly. Myers I think doesn't like Kress. Been almost a year since I played PL.
@@etherealdreamerart Yeah. Myers mocks Kress and talks about how she stayed in office way too long. I remember her saying something to the effect of how "her ass was welded to that chair" in the Oval Office. The funniest thing about Kress though was that her character sheet was surprisingly good for a character that you almost never saw in the TTRPG books. Her Attributes and her Skills were actually better than Johnny Silverhand's in a lot of ways. And given how Myers' entire plan is almost crumbling down around her in Phantom Liberty, I think it's safe to say she was more competent than Myers in every way.
@@EyeofCenter That's true. I think Kress might secretly be getting a plot to have her assassinated in Orion. That would be intriguing to see.
One of the best intro sequences in gaming history. It really draws you in and hooks you, making you feel instantly invested in the universe. Which is good, given that a lot of the flaws of the game experience then immediately become evident, as whether you skip the tutorial or not (I did once, and won't again until after I've been taught how to use each Discipline at least once), either way the flaws of this very old and brilliant but extremely imperfect game immediately start tripping you up. Dialogue where you only have one real choice, objects you can't interact with, puzzles with no hint of how to solve them...I love the game but MAN does it have issues. It's neat they're making a sequel but I'd honestly rather they'd have just remade the original, not with top-notch graphics, but just with a Skyrim-esque level of "living world" complexity.
This game was a perfect example of an adaptation done right. Even when/though the game is janky and outright broken in a lot of places, it's still a beloved classic. And if you're into VTM as a franchise, then from a lore perspective, the video game actually has a lot of nuance to the story that makes everything you see fit almost perfectly into the rest of the VTM franchise. Games like this and KotOR are perfect examples of how worldbuilding, character writing, and plot actually DO matter in a video game. A lot of people see the shoot-em-up or the FPS and say that video games are just mindless noise, but I think they're completely ignoring the hours and hours of script writing that's followed up by hours and hours of real actors acting out these scripts and stories on camera in a studio before our eyes. They prove that even action-centric video games CAN be used for storytelling if people behind it have a story to tell. As for Bloodlines 2, that entire game is looking worse and worse as time goes on. Last I checked, they're seemingly getting rid of the character builder in favour of something more "streamlined" and that to me is a sign that these people have no business remaking a game like Bloodlines in the first place. This was one of the best video RPGs ever made and these clowns are going and saying they want to do away one of the best parts of the originals in the first place. Everyone complained about it, but the first version of Bloodlines 2 was actually better than what we're seeing now.
@@EyeofCenter agreed 100% with your entire first paragraph. And I probably don't care about BL2, but I might decide to try it even knowing it'll suck, in the hope that fans may eventually save it.
@@EyeofCenter ps if they're smart they'll make the streamlined CC an optional thing, as with John and Jane Shepherd in Mass Effect. I do think one of BL1's flaws is that it kinda throws you in the deep end with CC and lets you make serious mistakes, which you're never able to correct later. Nobody told me I shouldn't play Brujah for my first character, or invest my Gangrel second's discipline dot in Fortitude. Only when I made a Malkavian with Computer did I realize how badly I'd goofed.
@@quicksilvertongue3248 I had the opposite experience, actually. The only problem with building characters is that ignoring combat makes the end game harder. But even then, you should still be able to beat the game fairly easily even with a subpar build (if you want proof, I put out a video a few years ago showing just how easily you can cheese the toughest boss with stats permanently lowered to 1 with console commands). That problem with character building exists in almost every game like KotOR, Fallout, etc. If you've never played it before, you probably won't know the most important stats / the best build to make unless you look stuff up online. But as long as they actually balance the game properly (like in FNV or something), I don't feel like that's an issue. Would be cool to see two different game modes though. A streamlined version and a serious character builder like the original would be a pretty good option.
@@EyeofCenter Let's just say that I have a pretty clear vision of how the game could have been made to allow non-optimized builds to be viable, and that clearly wasn't done. Every time I try to find an alternate approach to any situation, I'm confronted with a blank wall. My point of comparison is Fallout 3, which is perhaps not fair, but I've had so much more luck there that Bloodlines can't help but seem inferior by comparison, even if it is the new hotness that I'm currently obsessed with. Just the frequency with which BL gives me only one dialog option, that alone tells me it's no Fallout.
I want someone somewhere to put together a compilation of all 14 possible intro scenes, pointing out how you always have your chosen clan and gender's model as the main focus, and your sire is the other gender of the same clan but sometimes dressed a little different, and then the other 12 models will be swapped in as members of the audience (notably once with two of them both having the same model in different clothing), or as the goon who's holding your guy down during the speech, or the one holding your sire...it's a super cool look into various alternate universes where different people fill the same roles in this dramatic event that's shaping up. It'd also be neat to look into the mechanical differences in playstyle, but that should probably be a separate vid.
The final mission in Santa Monica will also feature a lot of other "player character models" as vampires who are hunting the main character after LaCroix declares a Blood Hunt. It's the developers reusing assets, but I love the fact that they did this.
@@EyeofCenter woops, that's a spoiler! Oh well, still something to look forward to. I wonder if anything is going to address the fact that Mr. Ventrue is not only a pair of twins that are two of the three Ventrue primogen, but also look/s virtually identical to Prince Lacroix 😁
@@quicksilvertongue3248 WHAT? I'm so sorry, friend. From the way you were talking, I thought you had already played the game. LOL.

She been in Night City since 2019 and while she didn't remember it... she is somewhat involved with the fall of the tower. Right now on 2046, she just got reactivated, with massive memory and skill lost due to fogwatch protocol: a temporary complete erasure of her memory by a classified FIA tech that looks like a braindance recorder.

I have the first original French version of Cyberpunk 2020 The Dark Years and it is from 1990 i can send uyou a picture of this edition. I played it in my younger years, this role-playing game deeply inspired the shadowrun role-playing game that you could see popularized by the movie Bright
Cyberpunk 2020 was really something special.
NUSA was my favorite lore piece form 2077 and Phantom Liberty made me very happy. Wish they did more with this series as I'm not that interested in TTRPG's Great video as always!
Glad to hear it. CDPR is definitely not dropping the franchise anytime soon, so there will definitely be more stories about this in the future. The NUSA and the Free States were definitely one of the most interesting aspects of the worldbuilding and the lore behind the Cyberpunk franchise. The tabletop series already gave us an interesting premise, but I think RED and Cyberpunk 2077 setting up the Unification War took it to a whole other level. That was by far the most interesting way to reintroduce the entire Militech vs. Arasaka conflict to the franchise in a new light.
Also nice to see a longtime sub on here. I make these sorts of videos sporadically, but it's nice to see you've stuck around for a year.

Ever since I discovered the Cyberpunk universe from watching youtubers like Lastknownmeal and TheNeonArcade, I fell into a rabbit hole and sink deeper and deeper. I love this world. Mike Pondsmith and R. Talsorian Games as well as CDPR created a masterpiece for centuries. ❤
Always nice to see a longtime sub. Cyberpunk has definitely become one of my favourite franchises. It's honestly a little sad franchises like Cyberpunk might never truly get the recognition it deserves being a video game + tabletop IP, but I definitely think that Mike Pondsmith and R. Talsorian were ahead of their time with their writing. Sci-fi and anything adjacent often gets dismissed by a lot of people, but a lot of the more subtle things that Pondsmith wrote about actually did end up happening or come close to happening in real life. Hopefully the anime and the live action projects they're planning in the future make the franchise a lot more popular.
@EyeofCenter I agree very much. Edgerunners and Patch 2.0 really helped Cyberpunk and as long as CDPR takes their time with Project Orion, Project Orion has even more potential to be better than 2077.
Also, if you don't mind shameless content plugging, consider checking out my Cyberpunk RED video. It's probably not as exciting as one of my Cyberpunk 2077 videos, but I'd like some feedback nonetheless. It says you've been subscribed for the past two years and this has since become something like a real UA-cam channel since then, so I'm curious to hear what people think about the stuff I make: ua-cam.com/video/d-K9o4hlN6Q/v-deo.html
@@EyeofCenter I have it saved in my watch later Playlist. Definitely going to watch when I get some time.
@@etherealdreamerart Thanks, dude. Feel free to tell me what to change for the next video.
I absolutely adore this game!! It's probably the best game I have ever played!
Are all the videos done in this processed fake whisper voice? I'm interested in the content, but can't get past the delivery.
Most of that was pitch editing/speed editing to try and make the audio less boring and more bearable. I've been working on this kind of stuff for a while now and I tried a lot of different ways of recording and playing with sound/adding filters and whatnot because listening to myself reading these scripts in my regular speaking voice is a painful experience. Because this was Cyberpunk, I started trying a full-blown filter in some later videos, but I found a better space to record and I've done away with the effects/filters/pitch edits nowadays. I still think my basic reading/speaking voice is just boring and annoying to listen to for 30-40-50 minutes on end. But if you're interested, you can check out my later work and see for yourself which one is better: ua-cam.com/video/d-K9o4hlN6Q/v-deo.html
i would really want to watch your video but not with this Voice changer its hard to follow!
I've seen a lot of different comments about the voice effects. Some people like it, some people hate it. I used to play around with different voice edits/sound edits, but this one is an old idea I had from before I even started making these sorts of videos. Since I already started making videos about Cyberpunk 2077, it just seemed very fitting for this game and for cyberpunk overall. The main reason I do this is because my actual reading/speaking voice sounds terrible and boring to listen to for 30-40+ minutes on-end. But if you want, you can check out my newer videos without the filter and see what you think for yourself.
22:22 nice np the video is great 😊
Thanks man. Glad you liked it.
Apologies for the reupload. I screwed up the ending in Adobe Premiere the first time. But more importantly, I wanted to test my analytics and try my luck with the algorithm one more time on a Monday with my alternate title. Since I now have something approximating a real UA-cam channel, I actually have an excuse to want to try and fish for as many views as I can possibly get. Big thanks to all the people who liked and watched the first draft. This and a bunch of videos would have been done a lot earlier, but something came up and I've been out of the country for nearly a month. Apologies also for the way the video sounds in some places. I kind of rushed the recording of this and when I listened to it in Premiere, it sounded so incredibly stiff and monotone that I had to speed up/slow down some of the video and tweak the pitch to make it sound more natural. Also, as you can see, I've started trying to do video essays. Sometimes. I'd love to hear what you think. Glad you liked it enough to subscribe. Hope you stick around.
we must have diffferent versions man she does not let me do any of that
i luv deb.
The worldbuilding was top-tier in Bloodlines.
I personally let God take over. Having Dog take over is just having some beast lurking about eating people, and I hate having to wipe out his memory altogether. Having God take over not only allows him to beat back his hungry side that is Dog but also allows him to learn and grow from his past mistakes without having to completely wipe out his memory.
can you add this mod to a pirated version
This is an .archive mod. It doesn't check any executables or anything like that. So it shouldn't matter whether your game is pirated or not. The newest version will be up in a day or so, so if you download, make sure you track for the update.
I could only get to the mansion but never could defeat the vampire dude. Did this by myself with Martyr. Even though she’s not as strong as the others, she’s fast as fuck, so that helps.
That was the hardest fight in the game. It was literally the very end of the game though, so you didn't miss much more.
Good video, personally I think that only Nomad and Street V really fought in the war, Corpo V was probably born into Arasaka and trained specifically for counter intelligence, might have been deployed in some capacity though.
Glad to see people are still watching this. I keep saying this, but I'm updating this sooner or later, so stay tuned if you're still interested. As for Corpo V, this was actually a perfect example of how thorough CDPR and R. Talsorian were in terms of worldbuilding. Corpo V works for Arasaka by 2074 (it says in-game he/she has been working there 2 years). But CP2077 explicitly says that Arasaka didn't come back to America until 2070. They were kicked out of America for ~50 odd years after the nuke exploded in 2023. So Arasaka wouldn't have been any part of V's life until he/she was already an adult or close. Before 2070, V could have been a part of any other group or corporation because he/she wouldn't have had anything to do with Arasaka.
@@EyeofCenter It is possible but in Phantom Liberty, corpo V mentions that his first kill was on the work place with someone who was selling info to rival corps, If V had actually fought in the war there, he would most definitely had some kills on shoulders. I know that Arasaka was out of Night City for a lot but I still think V being born inside the corp is the most reasonable choice, it would also explain why he had such an high rank into a very delicate branch such as counterintelligence.
@@paulll47 That's where this would get a little convoluted. But the backstory would still be doable. First of all, V's job in Arasaka isn't as high-level as you might think and it isn't implied to have been earned thorugh any sort of special connections in Arasaka. If you go into the lore about Arasaka during RED and in the time when they were banned from America, very few people outside of Japan had any real long-term allegiances to Arasaka. They were exclusively a Japan-only corporation and any people working for them were contracted to other companies while secretly working for Arasaka. So if V and his/her family was really born-and-raised Arasaka, then they'd one of very few people in America. Yet V is assigned as Jenkins' right hand in a mid-level management position at most. And Jenkins himself is implied to be a screw-up without any real power in the overall Special Operations Division of Arasaka. On top of that, co-workers in the hallway and Jenkins himself openly tell V that the only reason he/she has that job is because Jenkins hand-selected V for it. All that and the fact that V's employee file never mentions any ties or connections in Arasaka tell me V isn't special enough to have been born in Arasaka. But back to your other point, Phantom Liberty basically ignored all the little details they gave us about V in the base game. One of the things that happened was that they changed V's age from 28 to 23 (which I think is just stupid, but that's a whole other rant). If V is 23, he/she would have been 16 during the Unification War. In the Cyberpunk universe, 16 is the new legal age of adulthood and its usually when characters in the tabletop series would do things like join the military/the police/go to college/etc. But the main thing I pointed out was that V's tattoos say "NUSA", "AWOL 'n Proud", "2069". If V was in the war, he/she wouldn't have been around for long because this entire backstory hook includes the idea that V would have gone AWOL during the war. So it is plausible that V could have finished training and deployed only to desert before he/she ever actually did anything too serious. The same way that some soldiers in real life wars were killed before they ever fired a shot or killed enemy soldiers on the battlefield. Like I said, this would sound a little convoluted. And I think it's because CDPR just went and ignored any of the original backstory hooks/little details they gave us in the original game. But as it stands, this backstory for V still isn't contradicted in any way. So a player could still roleplay this without ignoring anything major in the game.
@@EyeofCenter Yeah, changing V's age was just stupid, he was already too young at 27, making him into a young adult just makes no sense for any of the paths, I guess that with Edgerunners, they tried to appeal to a younger audience. Personally, I loved Phantom Liberty but I think they really made it for a corpo background, most of the dialogue options make more sense and they greatly flesh out corpo V's past in a way that never really happens for the other origins.
@@paulll47 Definitely agree. Most of the ages they've been assigning to characters don't make a lot of sense to me. But that could be another video all on its own. I forgot to address the other half of your comment, so I'll just add that V's job in Arasaka isn't as high-level as you might think and it isn't implied to have been earned thorugh any sort of special connections in Arasaka. If you go into the lore about Arasaka during RED and in the time when they were banned from America, very few people outside of Japan had any real long-term allegiances to Arasaka. Very much done with this damn game did 2 freakin play threw and even reloaded the saves many times and this piece of trash pie doesn't ever drop me the coat or his gun. Literally the whole reason I kill there asses for betraying me.
Sorry to hear that. If you're on PC, there are mods available that make item hunting a lot less annoying.
