Custom STRATOCASTER Build | With Bigsby
This is the second addition to my homemade guitar collection. It features the iconic design of the Stratocaster, but has a few extras such as a Bigsby vibrato and cream binding on the front. The body is Poplar, and the Neck is Mahogany topped with a Rosewood fretboard.
The pickups are Fender Tex-Mex Stratocaster pickups in the traditional SSS configuration. Other features include a bridge from a Fender Mustang, and vintage Gotoh tuners on the headstock.
Many aspects this build were new to me such as the painted body and headstock, the binding on the front, and of course the beautiful monstrosity that is the Bigsby B50! I hope this build shows what is possible for anyone willing to put in the effort to build their own guitar. Enjoy!

Walnut TELECASTER Build
Переглядів 1,2 млн2 роки тому
This is my first ever electric guitar build. The guitar was built from scratch using European Walnut for the body, Australian Blackwood for the neck and Red Box Wood for the fretboard. The pickups are Fender Tex Mex Telecaster pickups, the bridge is a Wilkinson compensated three saddle bridge and the tuners are Gotoh vintage tuners. I went into this project without knowing the ins and outs of g...
Beautiful build
Back in the 70's I and a couple friends built 5 or 6 solid body electric guitars using Black Walnut. They look beautiful, BUT they were dead heavy, and their tonal quality really kinds sucked. That was the end of using Black Walnut for guitar building for me. I also built a Tele style guitar using Butternut wood (poor man's walnut). Again it looked beautiful, was much lighter weight, but the tonal character was still not good. We also made a few guitars using Oak and Red Oak... YUK! Beautiful to look at, heavy, and poor tone. FWIW
broo post another
Is this beautiful guitar for sale ?
beautiful... but why the pick guard? sounds gorgeous!! did you have to hide a rout path ( its tricky coming in from neck pocket and pu pockets
It is very beautiful and has a nice sound.❤❤
Well done.
Noicce.
Como conseguir esse gabarito em tamanho real??
Walnut is my favorite tone wood. I would love a walnut tele.
Sounds amazing, great woods selection. A+ build, No credit card can buy this unique beauty
Where do you get the paper stencils?
Just curious, what is the final weight of a solid Walnut Tele?
Great job man, I've really like what you did. I'm trying to build my first guitar and I wonder where did you get your templates from? Thanks, and I look forward to watching your next video!
Beautiful Guitar! True Craftsman and Awesome guitar player too!
Это одна из самых красивых гитар что я видел, цвет ореха изумительный, а тон выше всяких похвал!👍🏻
what are the things that you learned on the way?
good job! I wonder why on Gibson models, that type of bridge is installed inclined?
Beautiful work.
Супер!🎉
all I need is some tools...and a house...with a garage and or shop..then I'm all set. Excellent guitar by the way..looks awesome.
It’s nice to see this quality an instrument with a modest amount of equipment! Anyone can build with a Stew Mac Garage and CNC machine
Nice, good job!! very beautiful...... but please, change that white pickguard..... maybe something black or purple??? I don't know but, that white on Walnut , i do'nt like so much! sorry man
cheap copy does not say fender on headstock
No level sand and polish?
I'm thinking about building a chambered one. I build mandolins and a few acoustics. Walnut makes a great sounding acoustic.
Glueing the 2 halves together to make a complete body - will that hold up? Not a woodworker myself, just wondering.
The body is made from two pieces intentionally. The idea is that the finished body is more resistant to warping over time.
Работа обалденная и результат волшебный. Но разве в гриф Телекастера анкер не ставится?
That guitar is gorgeous man. Bridge got that spank to it too. Ready for some G tuned stones.
I got to see this video today on Thanksgiving 2024 and I loved what you did with the guitar. I had a guitar with a bigbsy on it before and they are low maintained I loved mine , my next one is going to have one. Great video man .by the way I liked the video and subscribed you take have a good Christmas
Cheers mate, you have a good Christmas too!
Ficou show ❤❤❤
Ótimo trabalho
Very nice job.
Absolutely Awesome Build.. I’d love one someday.. loved the solid sustain Jono 🏴 Scotland
How thick is this guitar body??
nobody ever gets the ferrules right
Oh, what a beauty you made...try to produce them globally, custom orders. Get the status as the Pensa has. Respect!
I watched breathless...so much respect. Sell them globall, you will sell them all. Fender made some....only some. 👍👍👍
Skilful piece of hard work but you can get the parts now from temu.
Gorgeous
Do you put tru oil directly on the sanded guitar? Isn't sealant put on it beforehand? Sorry I'm new to this
The tru-oil is the “sealant” in this situation and yes it’s applied directly to the sanded wood.
@greensguitars thanksss
Start hammering the frets from the middle and work your way to the edges. Usually secures the fret so other end doesn't pop up when you hammer the other end.
Very b guitar !!
As one builder to another, phenomenal craftsmanship. Great color and stain choices. I'm currently looking at putting a Bigsby on my latest Mod Build The Kramer Farrington convert let's call it The Teleington elec/accou with a Bigsby, purple/green/orange colorshift front and headstock, black sides and back. Keep up the great work while encouraging others to build also.
You selling any ?
i just watched 27mins of my dream guitar made, woody telecaster...Magnificent. if you make same with Oud or sandlewood...i would love to buy it from you. folklore says, its a wood of Heaven.
Not a fan of Bigsby tremelo systems personally, but still a great guitar, and superb craftsmanship.
Must be awfully heavy ---simpler to use lead body !
WEIGHT ???
4.3kg
I would be immensely proud if I could produce a guitar like this from scratch. True craftsmanship, and a thing of beauty.
