    UA-cam: How To: Develop Color Print Film (C-41 Process) Use a Mask and Gloves.

  • @darrenbivings4227
    @darrenbivings4227 День тому

    If you haven't done Black and White, I also suggest try doing that before you just jump into Color Dev. It's fun and you learn a lot before jumping in to the deep end with Color Dev. It's not much harder and you don't have to. But It's still a good idea, if you haven't done it yet. In College, they wouldn't let you anywhere near Color Labs until you finished your first year in Black & White. Also Color Chems are can be dangerous.

  • @darrenbivings4227
    @darrenbivings4227 День тому

    If you are going to do color C-41, I suggest you do a little reading about film development Temperature Control. You want to avoid RETICULATION and damage. Film Shrining from exposing film to hot to cold. I use to run a C-41 system and the Chems in college. It is absolutely necessary to be keep the right Temps consistent during dev at all times in order to get consistent results for your film Dev. I did it without using the Jobo Equipment system in college and I didn't have to rely on the Jobo Systems to keep the Temps under control. But the system is good, none the less. But not everyone is disciplined at marinating strict chem dev temp controls with Glass Mason Jars and std chem Lab equipment. I recommend that you get a teacher to walk you though it a couple of times to pick up good Wet Darkroom habits. And when you feel comfortable doing it on your own with or without the Jobo Lab system, you will understand and appreciate why people invest in one in the first place. Personally, I don't like all that plastic. I'm old school. Glass and Metal for me. The only plastic I use is the tub to hold the water bath. You can save yourself a lot of money. Here's little trick: You can use a Sous Vide water cooking system that has excellent water temp controls for Black and Whit and Color Film Development. I love them. Have fun.

    Yes, this is the road I have decided to follow as well, actually started experimenting with the iPhone like four, five years ago. Then followed everyone else with scanner etc but quickly realized it was way to slow and expensive and actually to complicated.. I have tons of photos so iPhone plus a kit from Pixltr or Jjc will be the effective way and then when a really nice slide/negative pops up then it goes to a professional. I will save money and time :) Great video!

    Hi! I have an r8 and am currently looking for a versatile, general-purpose lens of great quality. I already have the ef-rf adapter, so EF glass is no problem. I mostly want a lens that is really nice and sharp, up to today's standards, and preferably with an aperture of 2.8 (or 4). My budget is up to about 800€ (used). I really can't make a decision...especially as the older and newer lenses are rarely compared directly to each other or to the current standard. The next lenses are still on my list: EF 24-70 f/2.8 (mark 1) EF 24-70 f/4 EF 24-105 f/4 (either mark 1 or mark 2) Sigma 24-105 f/4 Tamron 24-70 f/2.8 (either mark 1 or mark 2). Which of these would you recommend and why? I would love to hear your insights!!
