    This blows me away to learn that a computer can create g code for my Autocad dwg file. I suppose we could first 3D print out of metal to fabricate the internal pathways and then CNC the exterior finish. I'd like to see it done.

    If the machine reads line by line, how does it know in which direction to compensate for the cutter after you set g41? Like when you tell it G41D1X0Y0, how does it know to be 0.5" north of X0Y0 vs 0.5" west of it? Does it look at the next command and say oh he wants to X3, so I need to be left (north) of the toolpath?

    • @thebelieversvoices3461
      @thebelieversvoices3461 2 місяці тому

      Reading it at the same time will also allow it to execute a G 41 at the same time, it knows to move to X0Y0. It also knows for the tool to stay left which is G41.

    Hey Matt, Why does this code not start with the code you mentioned in your previous video? The one you said you use 99.9% of the time. I know theres probably a reason or im reading this wrong. Love your videos!

      Because this code was generated from CAD CAM. It was not hand typed by myself. After you get involved with CADCAM software, you will just let it go, it works. As long as you know your software enough. What I shared with you is for hand programming.

    I remember how I truly learned indicating center not long ago. I started doing it on my own. I was sooo proud. Did you swing your spindle into neutral? I find neutral the best way to do it . I couldn’t tell when you did it in the beginning if you threw it in neutral, or you threw it in high . Neutral is more free .

    • @thebelieversvoices3461
      @thebelieversvoices3461 5 місяців тому

    • @AndrewHager-o1m
      @AndrewHager-o1m 5 місяців тому

      @@thebelieversvoices3461 I strictly do it in neutral because I think neutral gives a freer spin. Even high gear isn’t quite as free flowing. Neutral has no mechanism stopping it. You know what I mean it just spins. There’s no kind of gears or force or whatever is inside the machine. I don’t really know the mechanics of the machine like that but what I do know is when it’s in neutral there’s nothing stopping that spindle from spinning on its own when you spin it by hand. When it’s in low or it’s in high, it’s in a gear .
