A short film featuring David Tress discussing his summer solo show with Beaux Arts Bath.
Beautiful work
Let me get this straight: it took you 10 years to figure out your full scale, genitalia prominent sculptures of a minotaur were a product of your daddy issues?! Lol. Aren't they always <cough ... Louise Bourgeois, Kahlo cough>? The lack of self-awareness is absolutely stunning. If I started sculpting nothing but naked full-scale works of Medusa, out of the blue, for even 3 pieces in a row, I would well figure out they were about my mom, pronto. Now that you know. Isn't it time to move on from being a one trick pony?
Hi, brilliant work. Which paper you use or is it a canvas sheet?
I’m always looking for videos about David Tress. There is something raw and wild in his painting. I would love to see an original. He is fascinating to watch on what little videos I have found on UA-cam.
I ❤ Ur Art!
Thank you very much. Very inspirational and very touching, I feel -
Go mom
Amazed and love how under the radar Nathan seems to be…he’s a superstar.
I'm beyond words about the beauty of this work.
so beautiful
I absolutely love your flower paintings. So sensitively done
Very impression sculptures. Surprisingly, when I saw the Minotaur, I felt a connection between the artist and the model. It's just a miracle how it's all transferred through the clay into the casting. I saw it today in M FINE ARTS GALERIE | BOSTON.
I saw one of her Minotaur pieces, also at the M gallery in Boston and ended up purchasing it. Also, had a chance to meet her at one of the showings.
Nice video but I find the art dull
Incredible! Xxxxx
Thank you.
stunning.
Thank you!
Beautiful work
Thanks a lot!
Between the music and the art I’m taken to a peaceful place I don’t wanna leave.
I really enjoyed hearing you speak about your art. I'm one of many newbies who somehow found art during the pandemic. At 62 and never having done much of an artistic nature, I've found myself exploring a whole new rabbit hole. It's long, deep and a confusing place at times; yet each new turn in the burrow reveals something of interest. I love how you involved your children in the painting, what a wonderful dad you must be to them.
One of my favorite artists. Beautiful 💕
I can't tell what's more transfixing, looking at Ford's paintings or listening to him speak. Why choose. I'm so glad I ran into this video. Thank you.
Please sopt artsh #wildarts
Beautiful work, so inspiring, thank you.
Beautiful work and view on life
Beautifully honest person and work! Glad I found this and will share
fantastic
Thank you
Gorgeous work.
Love this plus the music is excellent too.
Gorgeous.
This should be at Sundance. It’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen in my life (70). I immediately shared it with my Sis (65) and close friends. Nathan’s painting and his understanding of them and his process was amazing and beautiful. Thank you for posting this!
Thanks so much for your response Kweli. Very much appreciated.
gave this a like
Dead clever and inspiring!👍🇨🇦

@@beauxartsbath7195 Stimmt doch😁
Inspiration.. Awesome
Glad you liked it
I love this guy ...as far as I know him. The work I already had affinity for upon first view. There is a quality to the line that hits me in the same way that Egon Shiele's lines, do. Schiele is the god of my idolatry.
Congratulations Joe
suggestive painting bravo travail très délicat, j'adore, Josslyn France.
They could not teach you what has never been done. Your style was born with you. A gift from God.
Are these your words? They spiraled to the core of my bones. Thank you seems not enough, Kathy Suits🌿 Just what I needed to hear, exactly when I needed to hear it most.
I am subscribing in the hope to see similar content in future. Keep up the good work. Thank you for not flooding the video with background music and letting his honesty come through.
Thank you

I am just crazy about your work. ❤️
Thank you !
Love it
Stunning work
Thank you so much 😀
A few years back I met you, Nathan, in Waterperry Gardens (Art in Action). There were hundreds of other talented artists on show there that weekend but for me, the highlight of the day was talking to you and experiencing your work up close. I was fascinated by the ethereal quality of your tiny portraits. The smallest of detail bringing the subtle figures into existence. I could have studied them all day. Thank you for your time and your beautiful artwork. I hope to see some more up close and personal again some day. Take care
Come to Bath !!
@@beauxartsbath7195 I'll make a point of it.
So beautifull........
Thanks a lot 😊
You're right when in art school they want you to relinquish the control and allow the wonder to show through.
Beautiful work!
Thank you Cynthia
"...& it's grey again & I'm going to continue to fight it...." That's beautiful.
