Loved this era, the birth of the casuals, from all the other sub cultures, from the long haird bell bottom hooigans of the seventies then the punks the skin heads the mods the rude boys, all graced the foot ball terraces, then the casuals appeared out of no where',,, it was like what the fuck,,, is going on,, people looking like golfers, tennis players, lol, amazing times, the hair cuts, wow,,, the old foot ball league's , from the fourth to the first, travling up and down the country out of wales in to, England propper exciting, going up against boys you had no idea about, on site right there, through all the divisions,, testing your self against people who you never heard of never ever seen not like when the mobiles, came in the seen, and you would meet up, and you were prepeard for,, back then it was on sight no information on numbers, just get there and go,,,, thay were the days,, know bits not worth even going to a game, , thay stole hour game, from the working class its middle class prices now, food is dearer the tickets are inflated, no atmosphere unless your a big supported successful club rich club doing really well in the premier, or at the top.of the championship big grounds in the championship with tiny crowds it kills the whole atmosphere,,,, the whole Dinamicics of footbball has changed, sadly the real days of the casual scene, us a distant memory sadly,,,,

I was at comp 80-85, and never learned a fraction from school that i learned from football. Train specials, wedge haircut, Pringle, lecoste, Lois, even a bit o Farah trousers! 😂 What an era, clothes, music, matchdays, never ever be a time like it.

Clothes were better quality back then, today there is too much crappie polyester which is not even fit for a rag, polyester started coming out in the late 70s, it was cheap as chips and is not worthy of the price tag it is today, that’s why there are so many versions of premier league team jerseys, they are easy to make and the majority of them are made in China, cotton is so much better, clothes back then were worthy of wearing.

I have seen far too much of it, and I am ashamed and regret many things I committed during my violent days as an ex-football hooligan. I’ve had sharp coins, knives, darts, bricks, bottles, plastic seats, hot cups of tea, fireworks, flares, beer, full cans of fizzy drink; Molotov petrol cocktails, dog faeces, urine, all been thrown at me. I’ve had pepper spray in my face; loaded shotguns in my face on several occasions, and many irate and drunken night-club revellers makings death threats to me for many years. I’ve also, had a loaded magnum 45 revolver pointed at my head; stabbed and threatened with axes, hammers, baseball bats and machetes too many times. They say the older you get the more mature and wiser you become. I thank GOD and give HIM all the GLORY for HIS great grace and power to save me, because I would have died many times over. I thank GOD that I am so blessed to be alive for I would be dead, and long time buried if it wasn’t for HIS unconditional love, grace, and mercy. I can boldly say, “I am a miracle of HIS tender mercies.” They say the older you get the wiser and mature you become! I am so glad I wised up by GOD’S grace, and repented and returned back to GOD to serve HIM as my LORD and personal SAVIOUR.
