North Texas drought - Lake Ray Hubbard
Переглядів 4,7 тис.10 років тому
Low water on Lake Ray Hubbard. March 2014.
Anyone got a picture of what the Marina used to look like?
What about the 1980 Drought? That was a drought. Captains Cove when it was a sailing marina, did not have 18 inches of what most places.
I couldn’t believe this when I would drive down rowlett rd, looks much better now, it’s no longer dirt front homes
the lake is back to normal.. and with more water.. the end.. water your grass
lake ray hubbard in 2019 has actualy overflowed a bit
I found at least 40 crankbaits and hundreds of wackys
Very good video Jay....seems like you were on our dive just 2 weeks ago, because the dive videos are pretty close !! lol. What did you use for camera and which filters, if any did you use ?
look up lake arid over in russai. an yuo'ill geet a sence of wat will happen here. ever wonder where all . those chemicals and other nasty stuff goes when it rians? well if you guess the local ponds an lakes your right. now think on this what happen when all that muck dries up and the wind start to blow that sand away? guess your right again you'iull be sucking all that nasty chems right down yout throat. well that what people get for using chemicals on thier lawns.
great underwater camera work
Major water restrictions and conservation could easily end this. Big middle finger to those who constantly water their lawns, this video is a DIRECT result of those demonstrating excessive usage.
Me and a buddy and our boys were walking around there where the marina was and all the water was completely gone and just hard mud. We found a cell phone that had a memory card on it and I was able to recover some pictures. It was about spring of 2012 and someone was fishing, had taken pictures of the area, took pictures of their cork, and the last picture was real close to the water LOL

I'm moving to that area and to look at what it is today is sad! Is there a dam nearby to fill it up? Scoot ya seats up!
