And that Hades and Persephone deciding to have another child is actually a really touching and realistic step in the story we were given in Hades 1? I can understand being upset most of the characters from the House of Hades aren’t present, I’d love to see Dusa again, however it really does seem like your main point of contention is that….the main character is a girl this time? And that there are new characters to get to know? What were the other options? What would you have done? Play as Zagreus again but strip him of all his power and growth from Hades 1? Oversaturate the cast by trying to fit in all the old and add in new hub area characters? I’m just having a hard time seeing what you’re actually upset about beyond…Melinoë being a woman

It's not 20% Extra Damage... It's +20% Damage that stacks per Room. As in, clear 3 rooms and you now take +60% damage from everything. I think the worst it got for me was a trap dealing something like 58 HP (it started at like 3 damage) because I carried it all the way from Oceanus to the House of Hades. I hate the Blessing of Strife so much.

The devs made it very easy to mod. It's a singleplayer game anyway, what's the problem?

Perfect Image, 20% damage until you take hit. That combined with the invuln cheat makes everything 20% faster.

the developers made it really easy to modify files, as it is in early access. So I just increased my damage by 5x and made myself always intangible via game files.

They knew people would do this. It's called future proofing. You act like the game lacks content.

There are discrepancies in the original, if I recall. The main things are that you’re expected to take a few runs at least, so you get special boss dialogue before then, though it’s generally not tailored to only night 1. Plus, it’s primarily voice lines. The Hades dialogue system is robust and powerful enough to handle these kinds of edge cases. There are hundreds and hundreds more to add in general, I’m sure. Adding a handful of new lines for edge cases seen by a tiny fraction of players is called “polish” in the games industry. Please don’t act like a fun easter egg isn’t worth development time. They’re just as fun to add from a dev’s perspective as they are to get from a player’s perspective.

@@RiskOfRayne It's a prerelease and it DOES lack content - which they're working on. It probably also has bugs they still intend on fixing. And even if that weren't the case, there's a whole bunch of edge cases that aren't handled which are worth more attention than something most players won't experience.

"I'd rather they add more meaningful content" The game is already twice the size of the original. It is an exceptional amount of content to have for an early access state. How the hell are you complaining that it's not enough? "than dialogue <5% of the players will see." The entire point of video games as a medium is that not every player will see the game in it's entirety. You to have to earn content, that's how games immerse you in their narratives. You invest time and energy into it, and the game rewards you. Not every person will see this, but the ones that do will appreciate that the developers though of them and anticipated their achievement. You also don't have to choose between the two. Adding in a couple dozen audio lines and coding them in on a single trigger is not a time consuming task. It's not the reason we don't have more biomes or gods yet. The reason for that is that you have unrealistic expectations for how much content can be made within a realistic time frame.

@@pabloich3482ohhhh, I was extremely confused since you only mentioned where the post run dialog was at the beginning, and thought it intended that was where the changes where. Okay it makes sense now.

It is worth pointing out that the game runs out with this first defeat, so it is likely that a bunch of the eventual first win dialogue hasn't been added to the game yet

The purpose was to see if there was any difference in dialogue if Chronos is beaten on the first night. The only difference that I saw was Chronos not knowing who Melinoe is yet, as he usually figures it out through Oceanus interactions before the player reaches him.

Sometimes it's not about getting good, it's about just tearing through and seeing things.

it's for experiment purpose, I wouldn't see that unique dialogue myself, I've been trying for a good week now, a speedrunner might do it, we don't have that guy right now.

Even so, there's nothing wrong with using cheats in a single-player game. "Fun" is subjective and I don't think there's a right or wrong way to play a game. After all, a game is designed to entertain, and everyone is free to entertain themselves in the way that suits them. For some it's try harding for others it's powerplaying. The most important for a game is to have fun, I think ^^.

The initial dialogue on Chronos is different. After a few nights the dialogue starts with him stating about Melinoe coming through the gutter.

This was done for research purposes. It shows that we don’t get night one consolation dialogue, just the first victory lines, so at least the devs have that down.

No, this guy stated in the beginning of the video that he's using a cheat for no damage and increased attack power. You'll get damaged if you run straight up to projectiles man

​@@raviolibirb8009no no he is correct the initial projectile of that boss splits in a way that after splitting once you can dash to the initial location it split to avoid the rest of it. The guy is cheating but that is a legit strategy for that encounter

@@raviolibirb8009 he's not saying "run straight to projectiles". He's saying that projectile splits in 5, and the place where it splits is safe from the secondary projectiles splitting. It's the easiest way to dodge that attack.
