Banana Blossom (Ginataang Puso ng Saging Kinilaw) salad is one of the popular dish in Asia. Steamed Banana Blossom can be eaten with coconut milk as a side dish. However, the delicious taste of banana blossom florets can also be served with fried fish and rice.
INGRREDIENTS
1 medium size banana blossom
½ cup onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 inch ginger, chopped
½ medium sized red bell pepper, chopped
2 medium size tomatoes, chopped
1 tbsp salt
1 can coconut milk, 400 ml (13.5 fl oz)
1 tsp white pepper, ground
1 tsp chicken powder
1 tbsp white vinegar
1 tbsp lemon juice
garnish with small green peppers (optional)
