Never played Lies of P but tbh there are to many game companies jealous of From Softs success and nobody has made anything relatively close to what they have accomplished. They can keep trying though. Not shooting Lies of P down as ive never played but From Soft are the masters of this genre and i dont think anyone will top them😂

I feel bad for the people who never will have the pleasure to try this game. I tried it thanks to sekiro, 2 years later after it´s release. I am at a 100 hours and I feel it will take me two hundred at least to finish for the first time. every second is worthy.

Isnt about golden age at all, is based on programming. Using teamspeak was fine to use in mmorpgs. You had less arguments as in discord and less chaos. Upgrade the teamspeak, helped with voice and seperate group channels. Which is also good for businesses. When people started using discord, that is when people started having problems.

I think you missed a great point of the *reward* you get in Souls games - your ultimate reward is the improvement of yourself. I can't describe how excited I am the first time I play the NG+ and fighting Godrick and realized how good I am at that point. IT's not because of the +25 weapons or the spells I got during the first journey, it's myself, my eyes, my reflexes, all improved to a whole new leve. I am a better palyer now and I am still improving after 2500hrs, and the improvement is not only limited to the game of Elden Ring, but also helped me to observe other games and beat them with similar mindset. Hell it even improved my observation in reality, I noticed myself finding interesting locations on Google Maps faster nowadays. That's the greatest reward you can ever get from an unique experience of life

I despise discord, tbh. Ever had a niche interest with a ton of information only available on a discord server? More often than not, the invite links are outdated and you have to endlessly scramble to get in. And if you manage to get in, it's such a mess and the search function never really finds the required infos, anyway. Just for that alone, fuck discord.

Only issue I have with Elden ring is some of the later areas. Like for example caelid and the giant mountaintops. Caelid wasn’t too bad, but it felt really bare and uninteresting to explore imo. And the Giants Mountain is probably my least favorite part of the game. There is hardly anything to do and it feels wayyyy too linear. On the other hand, I had a lot of issues with Botw, but tbf I think totk is the better game. So totk vs. Elden Ring is a better matchup imo. Only thing I had a problem with in totk was just the story, but that could also be said for Elden Ring. Both games are 10/10 in my book.

The switch 2 Just had the most boring console ever

Zelda is always about change, zelda always was the first one to do things differently and go into places no other games dared to. The classic games didn't disappear and this games still hold the core essence of what a Zelda game is. While I do get ur points, in my opinion 3 games and some more future ones arent enough to make a design philosophy boring and still echoes has a way different aproach to freedom than botw (totk is in the middle) and I hope that they continue to perfect this type of game but I do hope that the next games will change assets (it seems unlikely) and if in 10 years they are still using this new formula then I will be sad. That said, this is my opinion and I perfectly get yours (even if I dont agree lol), but lil Zelda is cut as hell so 10/10

i highly disagree that these two games are all that comparable. The whole point of botw is that any direction you go on the map is the right direction and you can climb and glide towards anything you see in the distance. Elden ring isn't like that, its faaaaar more linear in every aspect. You cant climb anything , you cant swim, you cant glide in elden ring and fall damage for some reason either does nothing or kills you immediately and because of this you're basically railroaded through specific routes to get to certain areas with very little freedom or diversity to approach places as you like. also, most places are basically locked because of level scaling. in botw the world and enemies scales to you as you progress, thats not the case in elden ring. You're not gonna go to caelid immediately because you're gonna get completely destroyed by much higher level enemies, and half the map is pretty much locked until you get 2 great runes, meaning that 99% of players will fight godrick and then rennala first. Botw isnt like that at all, everyone has a vastly different experience with the game and where they go and when. and then you mention rewards.... I have a problem with both games regarding rewards but elden ring goes in the complete opposite extreme as botw. in botw everything you pick up is useful but consumable, making it so that you have very few rewards that you keep. in elden ring you get a shit ton of rewards, 90% of which you cannot use because you're locked out of it with your build. the game highly disincentivizes you to experiment because to get ANYWHERE with a "new build" either requires you to grind an ungodly amount of time to level up a stat, level up your weapons to +10 or +25 which, ancient dragon smithing stones are limited per playthrough, or respec completely (which has limited uses per playthrough) which also ends up locking you out of other builds if you do so because your attributes changed. Lets not forget the difficulty, most builds just arent viable against all the bosses, its hard to experiment when the consequences are so severe. We need to be honest with ourselves, the only reason elden ring gets compared to botw is because of grassy plains, vague medieval setting, and a mount, that's it. The game is basically just dark souls with a mount and a bunch of secluded biomes that link dungeons together.

In bloodborne you are just random guy got into the fkin mess of of a world

ER became boring after 25h gaming because more than 90% of the gameplay is about combat. Few NPCs with few dialoge. Interesting Story? After 25h: Nowhere. Its just go there and fight. For me ER has good combat but it is monotonous afrer a while. And no epic music. Most of the time few sounds. Nearly like Zelda botw. I nearly lost all interest for this game and instead started an old rpg classic.

lol I've had switch for years and its games can be really, really good, but yeah nintendo sucks, they suck a lot. One of the greatest tragedies in human history is that nintendo's insane catalog of talented devs and ips is held in an ivory tower by corposuits with cartoony dollar signs in their eyes.
