The London Programme Title Sequence 1983
Finally I found it!!! I love this Guinness commercial! I thing is the best one.
And then 30 years later (If BBC is still alive)...They get rid of the letters altogether and the logo would just be 3 squares.
Of course this had to be from the late, great Martin Lambie-Nairn. Because it looked SO damn good! 👍💯🌟
Anyone else here from Adam Martyn's video?
I came here from before and after the video
such good quality, i just see the recorded footage from the tv
u/ShittyJeansArse is gonna enjoy this
The 1991 rebrand of BBC 2 was and is still mesmerisingly beautiful and timeless. The original idents are still as fresh and enigmatic as the day they were first broadcast.

🍊’s bumper’s actually seem really well animated! (The laughing ident is like that guy’s going insane 😅)
This is the most 50s and at the same time 80s thing I ever saw.
👍
This guy single-handedly shaped television as we knew it. Thanks for all the great work that happened to be on television. Especially Channel 4. 1945-2020. Thank you.
Very creative! For the flagship TV channel of Wales, and arguably the most well known welsh channel. These follow a few objects trying to be a dragon. (The National symbol of wales). And also, Rest in Peace to Martin Lambie-Nairn. (1945-2020, age 75). Not everything can last forever, but the lasting impact on the design world is immense…forever.
We've got a problem the el crashed
So this is Annoying Orange's ancestor?
Hello. I wanted to ask you if there are any other idents, advertising bumpers, backstages and interviews on this masked troubadour from TSI and when could he upload them?🤔
The best o'clock news intro.
6:51-6:56 BBC "Anything"?
Oh no.....
Akala Ko Sa Pilipinas Yung TV5
the "shepherd" ident is my favorite of this set - sometimes called "dragon man"
00:18 tense music plays, standpipe.
I like the News At Ten influnces in the theme music.
So funny😂
0:17 I'm a Old late Gen Zer, How the fuck did this get made in 1995 and only air until 1996?
I still think bsb was so much better quality than sky eas then
Used to scare the shit out of me as a kid!
It's in stereo. Bravo started off in 2 channel mono on Astra 1C originally via 7.02 / 7.20 MHz companded by the Wegener Communication Inc. patented PANDA 1 noise reduction system. Later on Bravo's owners United Artists Entertainment Programming (U.A.E.P.) switched on the stereo capability of the twin channel analogue stereo subcarriers and upgraded the Betacam SP videotape playout / editing / recording capability to stereo recording and playback, and films / tv series that had stereo sound and / or Dolby Surround audio were transferred to Betacam SP in stereo, and were broadcast that way.

For anyone who doesn't have the patience to wait five seconds whilst procrastinating on UA-cam.

Never before have I come across such a fantastic insight to motion graphic design! This is fantastic!
this looks like it would be good on MTV
Well, looks like this channel isn't uploading anymore, which means that they won't upload all Carlton 1996 and Central 1998 idents.
Why do you want them?
@@themartinlambie-nairncolle6632 Alright, so you're still active, but when are you going to post more videos?
This channel was conceived as a memorial to Martin, by those that worked with him. It wasn’t ever meant to be a comprehensive archive of everything that LN produced, but rather a selection of his favourites. So while I may upload a few more projects, if I get time, I am not going to upload a complete archive of any.
@@themartinlambie-nairncolle6632 Alright, hopefully you will upload more 1996 Carlton idents, including the lost idents.
Oh god even you had a response you are still moaning@@SF08Alt
i love how he just gives up at 1:49
Would it be funny if the Galaxy Club letters appeared in Jingle All the Way while confronting the Demon Team?
Martin Lambi also created the triangle electronic blue symbol flag for the East of England ITV Station Anglia television back in 1987 which retired the Anglia Knight on screen.
I'm surprised the BBC was ok with this as they are mostly seen as non commercial.
Now it's been 35 years since it's debut
The are created by early flash
The last one got used a lot. "And now on 2 we celebrate 30 years of Doctor Who . "
This was epic . Martin's graphics with George Fenton's best version of his theme. I did my work experience at TVC in November 1988 and watched the news going out live a couple of times from the gallery and the adrenalin rush as the transmission countdown kicked in and real 80s news headlines got announced over the bed then the main theme kicked in and you're sat above the newsreaders reading rheir Autocue :)
Love these idents
The first and second ones felt more like they belonged on Nickelodeon
I haven’ been Pizza Hut for a long year
I saw this in 'Computer Dreams (1988)'!
This man understood television branding like no one else. He truly loved what he did.
The flags thing made its way (though very much different) into News 24 in 1997
Clever, creative man
This music was changed slightly in 1993 or something but sounds very similar
The music wasn't changed at all for the run when they used this title sequence which was from October 31st 1988 until April 12th 1993 - then the following day they launched their brand new computer generated news studio and titles, which then they did introduce a new orchestral and over the top version of this original theme tune.
@@johnking5174 that was what i meant
The music is beautiful
