@@JammoxI think autodesk sketchbook is actually a great beginner app to start out with! It is very simple and intuitive and there’s quite a lot of options for brushes, pens and more! Hope this helps!

@@Qiqi762 Yes I did apply for my classes in the transfer SPOP. I think whether you are an incoming freshman or transfer, it doesn’t matter what SPOP you choose, you will have a section that’s specifically allotted for incoming students for your core major classes (not sure about electives), so I don’t think you need to worry about it! Yes, it seems the campus village is unfurnished! The best place to find furniture would be facebook groups like UCI for sale or Facebook marketplace!

If you’re referring to the math department, campus village is a good on campus option! Another option would be University Town Apartments, which are not school owned.

If you prefer furnished apartments, Verano is a good “on-campus” option. It’s actually just off campus tho :)

I can’t really speak for the politics of campus but in my experience I would say it’s less political than some other colleges.

Hi there! I was a human bio major at UCSC and then I was a biology sciences major at UCI! UCI also has an exercise sciences major and a human bio major too so you def can’t go wrong with those. Hope this helps!

Hi there! I haven’t taken many AP classes, but for what I did take, I put it in as credit for my application. For any other CC or college class I listed the letter grade. I would double check with admissions but I hope this helps!

Hi there! Apologies for my delayed reply. When I transferred, I was able to get most of my classes transferred over, but I really did have to research each individual class I took at both colleges and compare them to community college classes to see if they were transferrable. I was asked to retake one class even though I passed so I could follow my UCs graduation req. If you’re classes don’t transfer over you can always try to petition it upon transferring. Hi there I apologize for my late reply to this but not all my courses transferred. I had to retake ochem even tho it was considered for credit. But you can always petition. I had a good amount of ECs but I think mainly they look at essays and grades as a transfer. Hope this helps!

@@HandmadebyVaishna Hi again, I just had a question about the calculus sequence you took. I know it says to take a year of STEM calculus and so I did the courses 11A/11B. Do you know if this satisfies the requirement or would I need to take one more calc course like math 22? Sorry for all the questions! Thanks you

It’s just that I’ve been getting conflicting information from advisors about what classes I need to take. I want to maximize the amount of time that allows me to take certain classes before I transfer to give me the best possible chance to get accepted. Again thank you for all your help and advice!

Hi @@bean6301 I can’t really share each of my classes, but I can tell you that I finished all the major prerequisites required for a bio major and my general education req! I would look at the prerequisites and general education requirements for both your current and intended school and plan your schedule to suit major plans for both schools so you are set regardless of what institution you go to! Hi Ron, I have heard people drop out and apply after CC so that’s def a good option. I don’t know if it’s possible to transfer in your first year to another UC, unless you have all your major prereq and your GE completed before you apply to transfer. Hope this helps!

Hi Snigdha!! Yes they will transfer over! If it’s completed at one UC it be considered complete at UC you transfer to! I highly recommend that you complete your GEs and get the letter of reciprocity if possible, bc you’re competing with CC students who have completed their IGETC requirement

Hi there! I think in theory it is possible but it is not as common as transferring after 2 years. However, if you complete all your major prerequisites and GE requisites in before applying you might have a chance!

My tips for standing out would be to have all the IGETC requirements completed, and have a competitive GPA for your major (you can find this info in transfers by major). For the insight questions, be sure to have updated info in your statements and show how you've changed. For the transfer essay, be sure to show how you've prepared for your intended major over the past few years. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions!

Hi Amanda! I had about 90 quarter units completed when I transferred. My stats were about 3.5-3.7 GPA!

Hi there! In my experience, I would say a good GPA is a plus, but it’s not end all be all. I recommend looking into UC transfers by major for an average GPA range for people accepted. My advice is to make sure your major prereqs and GE req are done and that you have a strong personal statement with updated info. I did talk to an advisor but they don’t advise you to transfer schools. Just make sure you do your research and you should be fine! Let me know if you have any more questions! :)
