I'm really excited. We absolutely love Christmas 🎄 I've had fake turkey before which tasted ok but I generalthei have a nut roast or a mushroom & lentil Wellington (i would be happy with extra roasties) The meat eaters still have turkey, usually get a turkey crown as there isn't enough of us to eat a full one. And Mikey has to work over Christmas as he's in a restaurant kitchen. He has Christmas day off, though. Are you home for Christmas or do you go out for tea? It's been great having your your support all this time. Let's hope next year brings better health, less stress and more holidays & trips away ☺️ 🎄 🥳 🎉 🪅 🎊 🍺 🍻 🥳

Would you have been happy staying in that room? I openly admit I'm fussy, but finding the room like this was really unfortunate as we so wanted to do a completely positive review. If the cleaners dont get enough time to clean it properly its only right that you should bring it to the hotels attention as that can easily be rectified by allowing more time. My partner runs a cleaning company that covers holiday rentals and this room was far below standard. The 2nd room we were offered the drains had been blocked and the room smelt of sewage (also not acceptable), the 3rd room we didn't have an issue with (which i did say) showing the standard in the 1st room wasn't the hotel standard as confirmed by reception (who were lovely but also mortified that the 1st room had been 'cleaned' and checked by the housekeeper and these issues hadn't been picked up on. We come on holiday to relax and have fun but admittedly the hygiene standard in the room we stay does impact our holiday. We are so glad you didn't have issues on your stay and we did say we would like to return (2nd time lucky) and get to see the entertainment so maybe we do another review and it can be a full positive review as I know the hotel is extremely popular 😊

@twodogz5575 £40 to £45 depending on how bad it it is green algae covered etc It includes windows, exterior gutters etc and is a wash and wax

To be fair that's possibly why it's a very popular hotel, I wish we had chance to stay forth entertainment (though we definitely made our own 🤣) but the idea of being somewhere dry, warm and drinks readily available, bingo and vocal acts etc does sound very appealing. The fact someone had only checked out the morning we arrived without any complaints astounded us 😊 where would you stay in Blackpool

I'm glad that no one thought i was overreacting. I know I'm usually a nightmare, which is why I bring wipes, etc, when we stay anywhere. I struggled to keep my composure. The reception staff, on the other hand, were amazing. I hate complaining. It makes me so uncomfortable, but they were really good and made sure they moved us quickly until we were happy 😊

The Grand in Llandudno has also been given the go ahead for renovation work. We know that alot of their holiday parks and hotels have housed migrants so can only assume they have been making mega profits

Unfortunately the 1st thing we did was trying to open the doors xx

I was ee and had no issues onthe outside areas of the park, but it's something we can definitely look into withbother networks. Our main issues remain within the complex itself which didn't seem to improve 🤔 what network are you on

@ yes we have stayed in several different caravans all over the site. In the early years we used to pay extra to choose our caravan. Then we realised it’s pretty pointless and you may as well take the surprise and cheaper price. I’m not a fan of being to close to the railway but it also means your close to the entertainment etc. The evening entertainment they put on is absolutely brilliant for kids my son loves it. He’s not old enough for the ziplines yet but I think he will be ready for the go karts next year.

What a shame if it gets demolished, we actually don't mind the old furniture and was hoping to stay for a drink and some of the entertainment but all the room hoping slowed us down a bit, and we were only staying x1 night. We honestly were hoping that we could give a great review from start to finish as hate negativity and I know I am super picky which is why I always bring some antibac wipes etc but this room certainly wasn't what we expected. Had we of had the final room 1st it would of been completely different but I suppose it's brought things to the staffs attention (who were lovely by the way) and hopefully this wouldn't happen again

We love Brenig and Alwen, when we saw than swing-shower for the first time I thought it must have been for washing the hulls of the boats when they get put away for the winter 🤣🤣🤣

Wow in Pontins hayday. It's been a huge blow to the tourist trade since it closed last year 😪 the area still boasts its beauty though and has a nice charm to it. Thank you for your comment, always nice to hear people's memories 😊

The Bells of St Mary's is very good value. There is also pony riding at the end of the path after the train crossing. Spud used to play around the Abbey when he was younger. We try to keep the grotto quiet to stop it getting ruined, we agree though it's absolutely beautiful up there 😀

Agree regarding the grotto, it's such a shame how it looks these days. We were there at the beginning of November. We went to the grotto via the high road and trekked across the field, I was so sad to see it condition 20 years after I last saw it. On a lighter note, when we eventually fumbled out of the bushes at the Abbey, we found ourselves stuck behind the Abbey gate..eek..just as we were about to turn around and go all the way back, we heard a van approaching (forgot to mention we could hear work going on at the Abbey)..turned out to be the sole worker on site, told us that Mr Lyons had bought the place, then said go ahead and look around!...he gave us the code for the gate and everything!...it was an amazing end to a very heavy leg day😂

Hahaha, do you know anyone who lets out caravans there? It's my GFs b'day at the end of the month, I d love to suprise her. I'm shocked how much you guys can drink and still stay compus mentus 😅. I would go back up to the grotto, it broke my heart...wish I could show you pics I took..fin kids

Not sure whether they could as the lease stipulation is for tourism use only so hopefully that's what happens as Pontins being closed has made a huge dent in the tourism trade here

Honestly think we as locals want to do what ever we can for ourselves as the council are not exactly reliable as you say. We really struggle with the amount of unoccupied (though likely needed to refurbished etc) of flats above stores throughout Rhyl that could be used to house seems a complete waste. Really wish the outdoor arena area was used regularly whether it be artisan markets, car meets etc events bring people and spending, just look at Blackpool always something going on. 100% agree with feeding the homeless, too many scammers ruining the trust, at least if you offer food or clothing etc you are still helping. We have said the miniature railway area would be a grate place to put pedal boats etc like in Southport 😊

Thanks very much 😀 apparently there is an Audi currently stuck side ways half way up who hadn't made it. The view from there on a blue sky day is beautiful also, we give up bonfire night up there as so many cars would block each other in. Gwaeny village is lovely to have a walk round to. We have literally drove through snow drifts that have been higher than our van before now. The Grouse are lovely it's such a shame and very pretty too, very lucky to live on such a beautiful place 😊
