Realistically, they were lucky last year. Their best win was probably K State (Tennessee didn’t beat anyone who finished in the top 25) and they got lucky that game. Ben Sinnot who is normally sure handed, drops a ball in field goal range and then Mevis somehow makes it from 61 yards. They also should have lost to Middle Tennessee State. However, they didn’t have a bad loss either so give credit where it’s due. I don’t think this year’s team will be as good as last year’s team because of the defense but I do think they will at least match their win total because of their schedule. Toughest non conference is Boston College. Toughest game is Bama. While Bama is still Bama, we don’t know how smooth of a transition it will be for them. Oklahoma? Should be solid but they did lose Dillon Gabriel to the portal.

It’s not an easy job but I think the committee should have put them in CFP last year as the #4 seed. Yea they dropped SEC champ game to Bama but it was very competitive and they were the former champs…you give them the #4 slot.

Football is football and they lost the game but its hard to argue they were not playing hurt against bama. Had they won..They easily beat washington in a hypothetical. imagine fsu would have been in. We saw how that went. They would have really only had 2 teams that could give them a good game. Michigan and Texas. One would have been elimintaed first round. Both teams at 100% last year would have been an absolute beast of a game that never happened.

Aaahhh...overly optimistic...they have no depth on defense. They are 1-2 injuries away from being .500. Their offense is great, but ask Lincoln Riley how well high powered offenses and mediocre defenses do in the college playoffs (0-4). Not to mention that their DC left for LSU I believe...wonder why?

You are about to have a bad year if you think JM is going to have a big year! KD has been dropping hints that everyone is ignoring. JM has the same problems right this second, he has always had. JM acts like he's big time because all the over hyping being done by media, who has no idea what they are looking at, JM will not be the QB by the end of the season!

Brother as a lifetime dawg Fan. I would say that, texas, bama, uga and ohio state are all about on the same page. Saban even admitted that Georgia is going to have problems with Texas, their offensive scheme is extremely difficult to defend and neutralizes great athletes. The Arnie, the situation is Georgia could be a two or three loss bubble playoff team this year, And still in my mind, be one of the top 16 teams in the nation. I would go as far to argue as Georgia hasn’t had a schedule this hard probably in its history, And I believe by seasons end Georgia will have played 4 to 5 teams that are potentially gonna be in the playoff. Texas, Bama, Ole Miss, UT, Clemson (texas 0-2 losses, bama 0-2 losses, ole miss 1-2 losses, and this could change, but I see this being where 3 to 4 SEC teams get in. So Georgia can really easily lose one to three games may or may not make the SEC championship and still get in. And could very easily still win it all.

Several wins last year by one score... I think Mizzou could easily lose to aTm, Alabama, and Oklahoma, and potentially be upset in one more game. I'd put the floor at 8-4 and the ceiling at 10-2.
