It's such a tough league you just never know. There's 7-8 SEC teams any given year could legit win it all. Should be up there though. Excited about Carroll people are going to know that name. If you could build a running back he's him.
They could go undefeated and rule the whole SEC or lose 4 games. That's what makes college football so great. Anything can happen and Noone can predict
Imagine covering 2012 nba and saying “and they have who I think is the best player in the league” talking about the heat That’s what you just did with Luther Burden 🤣
over They won't sneak up on anyone this year like they did last year but this potent offense I believe, will carry them into the SEC title game and who knows? Maybe another final game beyond that!
@@showmefishThe game film from the year before was ruined because the qb at mizzou was injured the entirety of the 2022 season practically. Game three I think is when he tore his throwing shoulder. He hid it all year. Also Mizzou played poorly in non conference play last year. They could definitely have snuck up on a few teams because of it.
@@stormageddon248 Regardless. Brady cook played in 13 games in 2022 and threw for 2700+ yards. Film showed he would be a decent to good QB. If a coach of another team allowed Mizzou to "sneak up" that says more about that program than Mizzou. If they don't run afoul of the football injury gods, they should win 10 games. Mizzou and Mississipi State are neck and neck right now, talent wise in the SEC. Either one of them could get into the SEC Championship game with one or two normal breaks. Both should be in the final 12. However, they still have to play the season. I just don't buy the whole sneak up thing.
Realistically, they were lucky last year. Their best win was probably K State (Tennessee didn’t beat anyone who finished in the top 25) and they got lucky that game. Ben Sinnot who is normally sure handed, drops a ball in field goal range and then Mevis somehow makes it from 61 yards. They also should have lost to Middle Tennessee State. However, they didn’t have a bad loss either so give credit where it’s due. I don’t think this year’s team will be as good as last year’s team because of the defense but I do think they will at least match their win total because of their schedule. Toughest non conference is Boston College. Toughest game is Bama. While Bama is still Bama, we don’t know how smooth of a transition it will be for them. Oklahoma? Should be solid but they did lose Dillon Gabriel to the portal.
They were never going to lose to Middle Tenn. They went with a totally vanilla playbook on purpose and could have turned it up at any time. Tell me the lucky part? They beat LSU by 10, Kentucky by 17, South Carolina by 22, hung with Georgia to the end and beat Ohio State (dominated?) by 11. Not to mention blowing out Arky and Tenn.
Several wins last year by one score... I think Mizzou could easily lose to aTm, Alabama, and Oklahoma, and potentially be upset in one more game. I'd put the floor at 8-4 and the ceiling at 10-2.

Aaahhh...overly optimistic...they have no depth on defense. They are 1-2 injuries away from being .500. Their offense is great, but ask Lincoln Riley how well high powered offenses and mediocre defenses do in the college playoffs (0-4). Not to mention that their DC left for LSU I believe...wonder why?
