60' diameter bin moving
Kind of a big deal on the 212 last Thursday 9-6-18. Moving a 60' diameter x 60' high grain bin from the closed ethanol plant in Buffalo Lake about 3 miles to Terry Ahlbrecht's farm. Traffic just had to wait for it to make the trip.

They can afford the expensive crawler but not a second or third camera?
Janice Pennington Kathleen Bradley Holly Hallstrom The Price Is Right January 15, 1992
The part you came to see starts at 6:15 and ends 20 seconds later.
Powerful plane.
I went to school with contestant Steven Nelson K-12. Great to see him!!
Living mannequins start at 37:57
Damn, not often you see an expert operating a machine - no false moves, no second tries or screwups just do it right the first time each time.
Fun . Watched a guy down 5 .with a sladge Hammer. I like this stuff
Sure is a long two minutes.
Airdate: January 15, 1992
Stubborn old thing...
Jlbvmm
lol and 60 miles of backed up and piss off traffic
Start at 6:20
sTINKY camera doesn't let appreaciate the demolition as the silo appears bending as the backhoe moves back and forth !!!!!
I bet that cost alot
Airdate?
Good beat.
The agony of it all!
it seemed ages watching this vid for the stack to drop, why after taking a large amount out of the bottom he just went round the back and give it a gentle nudge at the top of the stack to send it on its way
'...in a couple of minutes.' Proceeds to take about 6 minutes 20 seconds. I guess this is from an alternative universe.
A lot of armchair demolitionists in the comments. Would it be more entertaining to see it fall into the adjacent building? Not for the operator who would have to pay for it.
Bad lenz.
Dian was absent during this episode and Kathleen was given a slot
Do you still have that Archery Set?
Safe, methodical...I'll go for that all day. Good job !
also further to my comment below. there has to more weight over the hole to make it fall as there is more weight in the back so you have to go beyond the middle to make it topple.
it aint going till you reach half way dont keep watching as it will only sit there and say come on get me. or iv stood this long why am in a hurry to fall now.
Silo finally killed itself out of bordem
Destruction is so easy
it fell like a pile of Legos! what was that silo even made of?
Blocks stacked one on top of the other. They used rebar bands to keep them set. So, once you get a few rows going and then the weight gets going it folds it up. The tension and nerves involved is amazingly high, as you never wore know where is going until it starts. And then it's just going.
Is there a market value for your wheat straw? Asking from Texas. No use for winter bedding here. Our straw market is small square bales for Halloween and a couple of mushroom plants pay about $90 per ton
That went perfect
My cousin 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤨😂😂😂😂
A demonstration of how a combination of earth-moving equipment, operation skill, patience and a good dose of bravado is used to trump a few well-placed demolition charges placed at ground level.
ANTICLIMACTIC
I seen it done with a sledge hammer faster
No you haven’t
@@blaws6684 want to argue
@@alberta1st lol. Nothing to argue about. There’s no way in hell a guy with a sledge can beat a 250 class ex. Fun to watch though aren’t they?
I don't know why people use those damn fisheye lenses, they make everything look like crap
Was the operator being paid by the hour......push the sucker over and be done in a minute.
He could have started at the top and fed the blocks inside. Would have been almost as quick. And would have been safer.
I think the operator isn’t very experience at this or he just wanted to drag it out. I’ve seen videos of guys taking down silos with sledge hammers do it almost as fast.
😴😴😴😴😴😴
ZZZZZZZZZZZZ What!
Boy that's something you don't see everyday! (Which is probably a good thing, too.)
would this work for sugarcane residue?
2006 was the year Cartoon Network premiered the KND movie Operation ZERO. Even the premiere of season 35 of The Price is Right.
Cool.
