My hair was growing gray for the first five or six minutes of the film, however for historical interest and finally watching it fall oh, it was worth the wait. You did a great job calculating where it should fall. Thank you for making this video.
This is an example of professionalism. The operator was careful and methodical. No drama, no accident. Efficient and no one got hurt and no unintended outcome. But the title is misleading.
it seemed ages watching this vid for the stack to drop, why after taking a large amount out of the bottom he just went round the back and give it a gentle nudge at the top of the stack to send it on its way
A demonstration of how a combination of earth-moving equipment, operation skill, patience and a good dose of bravado is used to trump a few well-placed demolition charges placed at ground level.
also further to my comment below. there has to more weight over the hole to make it fall as there is more weight in the back so you have to go beyond the middle to make it topple.
Blocks stacked one on top of the other. They used rebar bands to keep them set. So, once you get a few rows going and then the weight gets going it folds it up. The tension and nerves involved is amazingly high, as you never wore know where is going until it starts. And then it's just going.
The video that i watched last one before this one a guy did the same size Silo, with a big hammer, alone, can you believe it, stupid and strange, took him long time..unbelievable.This is good way, safe way.
Seriously, the whole thing was way over dramatised. A couple of cuts across the side in the direction of the drop and a shove from behind and down it comes...any good operator or skilled demolition expert would have had this down in a mater of minutes with no damages or anyone hurt.
I think the operator isn’t very experience at this or he just wanted to drag it out. I’ve seen videos of guys taking down silos with sledge hammers do it almost as fast.
it aint going till you reach half way dont keep watching as it will only sit there and say come on get me. or iv stood this long why am in a hurry to fall now.
i can see why he is so slow doing 12 in. at a time he gets paid by the hour, and he drove all the way around when he could have turned a little to the right then swung the turret all the way around to get to the same place.
A lot of armchair demolitionists in the comments. Would it be more entertaining to see it fall into the adjacent building? Not for the operator who would have to pay for it.
I would like to see the testing results for the interior coating , because if it wasn't done it's a huge fine if someone turns in a complaint , if the test comes back positive you can't legally take it down
Safe, methodical...I'll go for that all day. Good job !

Damn, not often you see an expert operating a machine - no false moves, no second tries or screwups just do it right the first time each time.
I have to get a new watch... this has me realize why I' been late for work so many times.
After reading comments you were lucky to get the job. A lot of expert's out there! Who could've done it faster from there living room sofa.
Shut up 😊

Fun . Watched a guy down 5 .with a sladge Hammer. I like this stuff
'...in a couple of minutes.'
Proceeds to take about 6 minutes 20 seconds. I guess this is from an alternative universe.
That went perfect
It took a while but she is down. I understand that you didn't want it to land on the building next to it. Good Job!
The fisheye lens made it look like it was leaning worse than the tower of Pisa and would come down on its own.
Yup and it makes the world look round. Its flat wake up sheeple bahbah
The part you came to see starts at 6:15 and ends 20 seconds later.
The lens of the camera kept me thanking it was leaning over

To convert it to an outdoor dunny lol. Think it was a student driver.

At 6:27 It's still Standing! Couple of minutes? FIRE HIM!
it fell like a pile of Legos! what was that silo even made of?

I think the operator was a bit lethargic - this should have been a 2 minute start-to-finish deal
shy waiting to happen it dont till you take out half then it often stands there because it may be wet on the back side.
How does a 2 minute demo take a 7 minute video?
Couple mins?? More like 15 or so to rip it down. He could have just pushed it over and been done in like a min..
Shane Walton 7 minute video

I just watched paint dry
He made a meal of that
He could have started at the top and fed the blocks inside. Would have been almost as quick. And would have been safer.

It fell down waiting
this operator must be charging by the hour, not the job!!!
learning on the job???
One less thing on property tax.
But one wasn't trying to hurt the other.
I don't know why people use those damn fisheye lenses, they make everything look like crap

👍
Pin point demolition done right. You can take down my silo any day of the week.
sTINKY camera doesn't let appreaciate the demolition as the silo appears bending as the backhoe moves back and forth !!!!!
This is like watching a slug and a snail race to the finish line, just get it done. Two bricks and then a reposition.
Sure is a long two minutes.
The agony of it all!
That was painful
Dam, I fell asleep and missed it.
"Perfect", for you maybe, but it was painful to me.
it aint going till you reach half way dont keep watching as it will only sit there and say come on get me. or iv stood this long why am in a hurry to fall now.
Bad lenz.
Silo finally killed itself out of bordem
Nearly seven minutes too long
Are we sight seeing, lol.
Perfect.
Is He a learner, Slow 2 minutes.

My first day on the job.

What?
Destruction is so easy
I seen it done with a sledge hammer faster
No you haven’t
@@blaws6684 want to argue
@@alberta1st lol. Nothing to argue about. There’s no way in hell a guy with a sledge can beat a 250 class ex. Fun to watch though aren’t they?
They can afford the expensive crawler but not a second or third camera?
Clip needs editing down.
Couple minutes my ass. Nothin like watchin a pot come to boil. Waste of time.
a couple is 2.
Wow imagine what they charge them for that probably 10,000 a minute
