Welcome to the channel of The Tiny Workshop.
The videos that you will see on this channel will mainly have to do with woodturning and refurbishing old tools. I started refurbishing old tools in order to obtain cheap, good quality tools.. It was necessary that I had to have made a new wooden handle or knob so now and then. I turned this on a self-built wood lathe that I had made from an old hand drill.
I upgraded that lathe. First to an HBM Vario and now a Coronet Herald from Record Power.

Woodturning - Chestnut Collaboration NL2022 - I nailed it!
In October 2021 Leo, Hans and I had a chainsaw Saturday. We agreed that we all would make a bowl from a piece of chestnut and put the video online at the same time, so that we could see what the others have done with it. We call it the "Chestnut Collaboration 2022"
My piece of wood had an unpleasant surprise for me. A big nail! 😮
Luckily I had no major damage to my chisel.

I made a few rings from an old olive wood cheese board. I'm experimenting a bit with brass and Milliput inlays. The Milliput is going very well. The brass could be better, because you can still see the glue on the edges. I did not film making the inlays, only turning the rings. During the Christmas holidays we played Qwixx, a game with 6 dice. I thought it would be useful to make a small and simple tray for throwing the dice. I was able to make a small bowl out of a piece of plum wood. Plum wood cracks very easily during drying, so I did my best to make the drying process as stable as possible. A while back I got a lot of wood from Leo (emgi woodworks). There was also this piece of rotten walnut in between. Was that accidental or did he want to challenge me? I made a big mistake turning a crotch piece😕. I had high expectations, but I hadn't paid enough attention in the preparation. Nic gave me a few large pieces of beech wood. Jos brought these for me, Guys, thanks! I dried the bowls in different ways after turning green. These in the video I left untreated in the shavings to dry. The other I treated with oil and with diluted wood glue. #greenturning #roughturning #twiceturning
