    The last two times I had an attack, which was not as severe as some of you posting...I roasted a few heads of garlic and eat 4 or 5 cloves twice a day. That took care of it after a week of lessening pain.

    I have had two colonoscopies. Both without polyps. My mother and grandmother had colon cancer. One at 85 and the other at 92. My gastroenterologist says that would not be a hereditary cancer. Is he correct in this? Also, what are the chances of developing colon cancer after three or four years with clear colonoscopy? I have so many questions and my gastroenterologist retired. Where are you located? Thanks!

      People liken bowel prep to sending a man to the moon. To do so we overcame gravity, didn’t change its presence. Same is true of bowel prep. We can’t change the fact there’s poop inside of you. We can only blast it out. Too fast will not feel good.

    Around half a year ago, I went to the ER for vomitting blood. As soon as I arrived, they performed gastric lavage. The doctor diagnosed me that my condition was due to overeating+food poisoning, which made me vomit so violently that my esophagus bled. Since then, I have been experiencing early satiety. I feel nauseous all the time. And I feel full to the point of almost vomitting even if I only eat half my meal. It’s a condition so painful to live with. I thought that after some time passed, it would get better, but it’s not getting any better at all.

    Paralysed Stomach !! Gastroparesis ……I’ve had this since 2000 and it hellish !! Best thing to do is to work on stomach muscles, firm up the pelvic floor, and follow the correct diet …….try to lessen the use of motility drugs firstly by eating the right foods and keeping your health in check !! It’s a hard journey but keep at it and don’t give up 💪👊✊🙏😎🌺

    Our son started rejecting a bottle as soon as he learned that he could--about 3 months. Eventually it led to having a G-tube placed and for 2 years he was getting the vast majority of his calories from feeds, which contributed to him falling behind developmentally (hunger and enjoyment of food are pretty good communication motivators). We finally found out that he has EOE recently. He does eat on his own now (varies a lot day to day), but not enough to thrive and gain weight as quickly as he needs to. Since learning of the biopsy results, we are trying to remove dairy entirely from his diet (unfortunate since cheese was one of his favorites, and probably the most calorie dense solid food he ate). Anyone with experience, any tips on handling this with a toddler that is unable to communicate well?

    • @MarkCooperMD
      @MarkCooperMD 3 дні тому

      Thanks for sharing. Hopefully you get some insights from others going through this. For children I would seriously consider dupixent with a pediatric GI. It’s difficult to get toddlers to eat. Being able to target the underlying problem could allow more leeway on what to eat. Which in turn is what your son needs to start to flourish.

    My 16 year old daughter had a colonoscopy today because she has had lots of blood in stools and a mixture of chronic diarrhoea and constipation they have taken biopsies too look for microscopic colitis but the symptoms doesn’t seem to fit so much like Crohn’s does because mc says no blood and rarely any constipation so I feel a little confused. Also does this require surgery at all because theres not alot of information on it and she is terrified she will need an operation I will watch out for your reply thanks in advance also she had gallbladder removed last year

I’ve been to a PA who has diverticulitis (she hasn’t really helped me deal with it), 2 family doctors who give me zero advice and put me on antibiotics (3 times in 6 months), and a gastroenterologist that just keeps giving me tests and never tells me exactly what to eat and doesn’t refer me to a dietician like I need.
