During the TOTO Tour in 2010, Steve Lukather (thanks to my friend Jim Lopez his guitartech) sent me a killer message about my Luke White Sparkle... He likes to call me crazy fucker :-) !

My version of this incredible song... you're still a master Gary, and god bless ! R.I.P :-(
Thank you Steve Stevens for inspiration for this song
There's Steve Lukather....and then there's the rest of the guitar players. Luke is now the Zen Master of guitar, bar none. All others are students.
Goodness this is unreal 10/10 - I love Toto and have followed Steve for years. I am 50 now and don't even play guitar but just appreciate him as a complete powerhouse. I'm a drummer deep down and got into Toto from following Jeff when listening to The Seventh One. But my god, can you imagine being lucky enough to be around in LA at this time when Steve and all the other members of TOTO were in huge demand from other artistes - plus this was just kinda of THE TIME wasn't it. He was living the dream back then and has been consistent all these years - love it - !
WOW!!!!!! Thanks for this great video
Noone on the planet has the abilkty to keep ascending in intensity.in a gitar like 99s Luke. Just keep adding tension due tonextremely sublime twchnique, nusicality, wangbar licks and what not. The meanest mofo ever in my book!
This is a gem !!!!!!! Thanks so much for sharing Pierre
The Robot Guitar. i did a ton of touch-ups on the finish when I was working at Valley Arts Guitar. Also built the prototype for the Luke Signature model. Luke is a great guy, a good human.
This is an extremely rare video. Luke's the best ever
Daym Luke!!!!!!!
Luke is an excellent Artist. Best of the best Musician. Writer Composer Singer. Top of the game.
That's mind-blowing!! Why only one song?!? I can't imagine the whole concert experience!
Master Luke....The force is awesome with this one...!
Who is he playing with ?
Joey Brasler rhythm guitar. John Keane Drums. John Pierce Bass. Jeff Daniel Keyboards.
Genio
Luke was separated from Marie (wife) and so, my neighbor at the time at the Oakwood Apartments on Barham Blvd.in L.A. ( Yes, the place he calls a "shithole" in his book). He brought a cassette recording of this show from the night before and was wanting me to play it while we had some beers. "You don't have a cassette player? Really?" I told him that no, not in my apartment but yes, obviously in my car. We partied that night without listening to the tape but he let me have it - or forgot that he even had it. Haha I played the shit out of that cassette before I sent it to a friend in Florida to listen to. I've never gotten it back. Dammit. Steve did credit me in the liner notes. Spelled my name a little wrong but what the hell. Anybody else get a credit from Luke in the liner notes? Haha
Awesome story ! Thanks for sharing... ;)
Marie was at his show at The Palomino.
This is an awesome metal song by the bad man himself! What year was this concert?
1988 I guess....
Steve Stevens wrote the music .....
If you read “Gospel” he talks about working it out so he could take only music classes his last semester and still get his high school diploma. That’s what separates him from all the other “shredders”. He was a sponge for theory and composition. Can’t make it as a studio cat without it.
Very interesting ;). Thanks
Dann Huff did just fine without music classes.
FUCKIN' AWESOME 👍🏻👍🏻 Luke's Amazing ! I like this song so much 😍 And remember me in the past when I was in Sydney Australia Hang out, Fuckin' around n Rock n roll Guys 🤘🏻
I just love him! #Lukatherbabe since my highschool days.
Fantastic ❤ wish there was a soundboard of this concert or the solo album tour awesome band 😊
I know he was a session guitarist and played on a million albums but can anyone recommend a few songs that highlight his playing ?I just don't recall hearing anything where his guitar playing stood out to me. thanks.
Beat It, Keep Forgettin', etc.
Lukather played lead guitar 🎸 on 👉 "Dirty laundry" by Don Henley > "Physical" by Olivia Newton-John > "She's a beauty" by the TUBES and >"Livin' in the limelight" by Peter Cetera on his very first solo album called Peter Cetera. These are few but not all Luke did.
Boz Scaggs Breakdown Dead Ahead his solo is freaking amazing.
Dont know why but this performance almost moved me to tears. Steve and his music is so important to me in my life ❤
Very Good... is that Warren Ham in the keybord? looks like him...
Jeff Daniel.
Speechless ❤
Who is the drummer?
John Keane.
Just smokin' 👌
I feel a change coming over me It seems I felt this way before I sense the sound your eyes won't let you see I can't take it anymore Crashing windows, crash Laughing voices, keep on laughing, Oh, Oh, Oh Stop for a minute I chase the shadows and light To a place no one knows I hear the screams of the wind And I know it's the Darkest night of the year Can't tell the dreams from reality My fears are one and the same So who made me part of destiny Who made me part of their game Can't you feel it hurt Too much pain to endure Stop for a minute Cold wind on my skin Is the pain that I feel when you're near It's a midnight street Where we'll meet And we'll run from the Darkest night of the year Crashing windows, crash Laughing voices, keep on laughing, Oh, Oh, Oh Stop for a minute I chase the shadows and light To a place no one knows I hear the screams of the wind And I know it's the Darkest night of the year
Absolutely epic🎸🎶🔥
What a solo!!😊💪👍
I've always wondered how could had been a record with Steve and Gary Moore composing and playing their own style solos.
For sure a masterpiece.....
That's what i call a perfect summer night.
Luke 1988 incredible
Amazing, love the tone and the tune. Luke was on fire here.
A Fu****g genius.
Unbelievable ...

@@erickinfantas2564 Happy to make you happy. One of my best friend was his guitar tech and so I was lucky to spend time with him....I'm the lucky owner of a Luke 2 white sparkle that he loved. During the TOTO tour, he left me a message ;-) I think you will love it : ua-cam.com/video/9bU02xJlsM4/v-deo.html

John Pierce currently is bass player in Toto
So awesome, Lukather! Awesome album; I listen to it everyday. And this song is my favorite: another awesome collaboration between Lukather and Randy Goodrum.
This damn song just rocks, I been stuck on it for the last few weeks. Man I think it deserved a lot more than it got. I mean it was produced by Eddie Van Halen, has both Steve Lukather and Steve Stevens playing guitar. What more could a person want
What a live performance of a great song!
