I have a pair of these in black & white. They are my main track gloves and I love them. They run small so you need to get one size bigger than usual - I take size L for my Alpinestars GP Tech V2 gloves but XL for these Supertech gloves. The wrist area is also quite tight and it's sometimes a struggle to slip them over your wrist, but once they are on they feel so snug, like a second skin. There is a good reason for the lack of hard sliders anywhere on the palm & wrist areas. These are GP gloves and the riders do not want hard parts interfering with the feel. The thin kangaroo leather palm area covered in aramid provides the best possible handlebar feel while still providing enough protection to score a CE 2 rating, which is the highest available for any gloves. Unfortunately Alpinestars no longer make the Supertech gloves and they are almost impossible to get except in S. I wish I'd bought another pair when I had the chance as it's difficult to believe a better track/racing glove could ever be created.

Also when you tighten the axle put a Allen wrench in between the chain and rear sprocket put pressure on it, then tighten your axle, this way your settings will not change, a little Pro note.

KTM 890 R has a measuring spot within the swing arm. Will this device still work on that bike? (2-5 mm spacing to top of guide.) Thanks

I love and hate them both at the same time. Thsoe raised plastics at the end of the tips are making my life a hell. I just cannot ride with them.. i hit the brake lever with them and restricts my movedement. I adjusted the brake but now it's too far and have troubles. I think i need to remove somehow those plastics

Thanks for a really good and thorough review. I really want to get a pair of these gloves but I take a medium size and when I try them on, I literally struggle to get them on. i prefer a snug fit as opposed to taking a larger size with longer fingers so is there a way of stretching the gloves to make it possible to get them on more easily? I have this jacket. I'm disappointed that the shoulder and elbow armor are not removable. Especially since the washing instructions inside the jacket call for removing the padding before washing. Kind of a big design flaw.

So sad that some people actually buy these and think they’re real!!!! Or have no idea they have fake gloves. If it comes from China 🇨🇳 chances are they’re fake. The stitching is not straight, no padding/protection so if you just wanna look cool then the fakes are for you. But if you want REAL protection for your hands if you ever dump your bike you want the real ones. Sure you can get 3 pairs of fakes for the price of one real pair. But road rash on the palms just isn’t worth the price. Even for the price of the fakes you could get a branded cheaper decent pair of gloves that would provide more real protection then the fake Alpinestars? Any site like banggood/Ali express and even some posts on eBay are fake gloves be aware.

Hey, thanks for the thoughts and closeups! How are they in sizing compared to the GP PRO R3s? I mean beside the narrower finger width, would you say the rest of the sizing is similar - palm width, finger length? It's the same for me with these gloves, can only get them online and trying them on is not a option. Cheers

Most problem with fakes are not the material fade, but the fact those have no layer of the kevlar inside. So once you are off and leather is done, next goes your skin...

Why do you think the extra padding on the palm of the v2 is a safety issue? also thanks for the review! I have the the 2nd version of the sp8's that aren't the v2 but not the original ones either and I love the way they fit and feel but am looking to upgrade to something that has a touch screen finger, saw the V2's on clearout and just discovered the v3's. are the v3's worth it over the clearout price of the v2's? I prefer the style of the v2's more but the touchscreen finger of the v3 looks alil bigger/better.

i still need to wait almost half a year to get mine 🙄😬

I'm completely confused about the sizing of this gloves, I have a SMX 6 V2 and a SP-2, both large, and it's too big for me, then I think, Ok my right size it's M, and then I bought a GP PLUS R medium, and it's too tight, but then I learn that the race gloves are smmaler, my question is, you have other gloves that you wear that supports that? The GP PRO R2 and R3 really needs to be one size larger then usual?
