I really want to be more on the west side of Orlando.

I want a simple family home with no pool in Orlando but I want it to look gorgeous with 5 bedrooms for two home offices and children rooms anything like that less than California million dollar homes for two bed lol

I hate all the airplane noise from the Executive airport. It sounds like flying lawn mowers.

I have lived in Orlando for 45 years. This is the most inaccurate list of best neighborhoods. No Dr. Phillips, Windermere, Winter Park, Lake Mary, Lake Nona, etc.

Your positive attitude is great. But, I wish we could talk about affordability. Everyone better remember in November to VOTE... America needs to be restored to normality and sanity. This land is NOT for the wealthy corrupted officials!

I chose inland. Id rather experience strong winds occasionally than live in a fire, earthquake, water surge, freezing temps or volcanic zone. Pick your disaster. No place is safe or perfect all of the time, but Florida is nice most of the time.

I live in central Florida 300 yards from the Atlantic ocean. 2004 we were hit by 4 hurricanes but nothing major, If you look at the shape of Florida central Florida curves into the west. Many hurricanes continue north and hit the Carolinas. I love living on the coast close to the beach and of course I have hurricane shutters and a whole house generator.

Avoid ALL coastal areas and you should be fine. I always buy a home inland, at least 50 miles inland. Orlando is very hot in the summer and very cold Dec/Jan/Feb. I know, I have lived in Florida for 30 years. I have been to Orlando in the summer, winter, fall and Spring. The weather sucks for most of the twelve months.

Is there a better side of this town? I found a nice house that's a new construction rental but over on tiktok, ppl say Winter Park is close to downtown and the "hood" at the same time. Some Google articles say there is an uptick in unwanted behaviors there. Can you advise?

I was approved for a mortgage a year ago and have yet to even look at any properties because prices are so inflated. Out-of-state buyers and investors keep driving prices higher, leaving local buyers out of luck.

Exactly. There is a Cost of Waiting for rates and prices to come down; which may not happen. You miss out on amortization and appreciation, not to mention a beautiful home. Buy down options of 3/2/1, 2/1, 1/0 etc buydowns are still a good option.
