If I buy this and have the problem. I could just buy a brand new pedal and mount it ? I could take out the wire that’s plugged into the trolling motor and buy a actual foot pedal ?

I have the same unit. installed on a 21' pontoon. I also have the same problem with the foot pedals. I bought the wireless remote for mine and that seems to have cured the problem almost completely. However, if one of the kids gets in between me and the motor, I can't control it. The units use a small watch battery for the remotes. I wish they would have increased the battery size and the transmission power of the remotes. It is the only complaint I have about this unit. It pulls my pontoon about 5 mph for hours on one charge. I have a 2015 Kia sorento V6 SX 3.3L with 139,000 on it. I had three of those misfire codes along with P0019 Crankshaft sensor B and P0024 Camshaft posistion timing (Bank 2) codes. All these fired at the same exact time. I changed the oil, replaced the battery, and all of the other parts. Now when I try to press the brake to start the car it is very stiff and the car will not start. I tired the bypass method but it does not work. Something is wrong because when you initially push the start button (no foot on the brake) it turns orange. Then if you push the start button (no foot on the brake) it should turn GREEN. My ONLY turns red. What could be the issue? It was starting fine until i replaced all this stuff.

What it makes an excessive clicking noise

Just got one of these second hand and installed it yesterday. Don’t have the remote, just the foot pedal, but the range seems good on mine. Have yet to test in the water.

In your 2nd scenario I tried that I hear the car cranking but no start. But I noticed this car starting problem happens when I don't start the car after 3-4 days in parked. When I use it every day no problems . Problem with the battery ? Battery is less than 30 months old.any advice?

My car does this same thing except when I hold it it just cuts off. Sometimes it cranks, sometimes it doesn’t. I replaced the battery in the key fob, it had gas, battery is fine, everything is fine so idk what it could be.

Buy the wireless controller to solve the problem on a lanyard. I had the same problem. It fixed my problem.

Just ran into this problem..but once I go to hold the push start button, the car turns off... I do one push and the light turns orange,..push it once again and it turns green...i go to hold the button down, and it shuts off... Checked the battery, alternator, etc etc... Stay away from this motor. My transmission broke after only a few minutes of use. Now the marina can't get parts.

You know Kia sucks when someone has to make a "how too start you vehicle" video when your car is push to start, don't buy a kia 😂, you know how you can go to a dollar tree and buy cheap $1 toys that look good but break really easy, that's Kia 😂

I am having this problem with my 2012 Kia Sorento LX, and when I try the bypass, my car shuts off before it can start. I can't hold in the button for more than a few seconds without it just shutting off completely......any ideas? If I have to take it to a dealership, I would like to be able to drive it there instead of having it towed.
