We know that during the height of the pandemic, ethnic minority groups were affected unequally. But we don't know very much about people from ethnic minority groups and whether they are experiencing long COVID. They're not being represented in the research. They felt that they had to be much more persistent than they felt other people would be. They might have to ask for repeated appointments. They might have to insist on being referred onwards. And they described again that similar sort of feeling of discrimination. And I think the people that we interviewed were very clear that this wasn't just about long COVID, that this was something that they had experienced before. Please find out what management you can do in primary care, and make sure that people from different ethnic groups who are presenting differently are offered the same level of care that you would offer somebody from a different background.
