What did you guys expect when travelling in the outback you paid for a permit to use that shit road to the indigineous people in order to cross their traditional lands same as you did when you visited Standley Chasm. If you didnt want to pay the fee you could have gone the long way round stayed on the bitumen and reached Kings Canyon via the Lasseter Hwy and Luritja Road. We towed our caravan out to Uluru, Kata Juta and Kings Canyon in June and the roads were fine maybe you should have stayed on the coast travelling in outback Australia may not be for you especially if you dont like distance..

We are in a la nina event and have been for a few years so lots of rain. Better than normal el nino event which is hot dry and bushfires.

Have you looked at the timezones in Australia? During summer? With states adopting or not daylight saving. It's utterly crazy. And that's normal mate. It seems you'll be missing the CWST on theWA/SA border. Also Broken Hill which is in NSW but has CST.

I love bats, I can't believe they used to be down in the Melbourne city gardens just for them to be kicked out due to the plants getting eaten. Sky puppies are awesome, big (it's Australia, what did you expect?) and cute.
