Mérida is way too hot for me. There are so many other beautiful cities in México, with lovely cool climates, such as San Cristóbal de las Casas (which is also much cleaner, tidier and cheaper than Mérida).

Correction: Costco is very close to the airport, the tree tunnel is much further away. If you go through the tree tunnel to get to Costco, you went a long way and then doubled back several miles.

You haven’t flown enough.

It clearly states on their website that "international" travel INCLUDES Canada and Mexico. I've accessed SkyClubs successfully several times as a SkyTeam Elite Plus level member with a Canada-bound ticket in economy. That wasn't nice of them, I'd send a complaint email to Delta about that location; maybe they can at least spot you a couple of day passes and some miles for compensation. - Red
