Navigating Life's Passes: Brett Favre on Football, Faith, and Political Beliefs :: Ep 40 TTIAST
Football fans and curious minds alike won't want to miss our latest episode featuring the legendary Brett Favre. The former NFL quarterback opens up about his storied career, including playing alongside greats like Deion Sanders, and his unexpected journey from the Green Bay Packers to the Minnesota Vikings. Brett shares how he has found tranquility post-retirement, embracing a life filled with hunting and exploring the great outdoors of Mississippi and Alabama. His captivating tales reveal a side of Brett that few have seen, as he trades in the limelight of the stadium for the serenity of nature.
However, it's not all touchdowns and triumphs. Brett speaks candidly about the hard-hitting realities of football, particularly the issue of head injuries and concussions. He bravely shares his personal battle with Parkinson's and discusses the potential link to his time on the field. Through heartfelt anecdotes and reflections, Brett highlights the misconceptions surrounding concussions and the limitations of protective gear. His insights offer an eye-opening perspective on the physical toll of the sport and the broader implications for future athletes.
Our conversation takes a poignant turn as we explore Brett's political journey, his outspoken support for Donald Trump, and the challenges of navigating a polarized climate. This episode also revisits crucial moments of Brett's NFL career, from the emotional farewell to Green Bay to proving himself with the Jets and Vikings. Brett's reflections on resilience, faith, and the transition from a potential baseball career offer listeners a deeper understanding of the man behind the quarterback legend. Just stop judging people. Would be nice to have 80 million dollars! And please give your money in the right way to peeps! Not constantly spending all your money on plastic surgery, for your fake body and focus on your children! All you care is about is your social media and what you look like!! You are not anywhere near in your relationship with Jason!
Yes! Kids need to be raised on honesty!
The song “Try that in a small town” is amazing
You think you’re an expert about being a mom? You have 24 hour help with your kids!!! I hope you will actually figure your crap out! Never thought Jason would want to be with a fake!! Just throwing money around! You are too young to know what is going on!!
She is incredibly dumb and fake!
On a high about money!
Once again another great episode
Fabulous episode guys and so good to hear everything going on with Brett in his life and his fight against Parkinsons. Prayers are up for him. It is so good to see a guy like Favre standing up for his beliefs despite knowing there would be MSM/leftist backlash. Like you guys stated, the tide is turning and the more that do speak up about common sense, the better (and Thrash hopefully your "Tide" are better next season, LOL!). The questions you guys asked were fantastic and Brett's answers were honest and enlightening. It's clear he's a great guy. I've always been a fan of the way he played but now hearing him on this great podcast just reinforces that and how relatable he is off of the field, too. I can't thank you all enough for this weekly highlight in my life - I so look forward to Monday mornings and it is always awesome whether you have a guest on or it's just the 4 of you talking about things. I love the songwriting stories and the live music and the laughs so much and then the A list guests you bring are just incredible, too, and make this the #1 podcast, IMO. Keep plugging away and doing what you're doing because you're making a difference and building a major following. To steal a reference to Air Kurt's home state, "Build it and they will come!" It's happening and it will keep building! Cheers until next week guys!
Oh yeah! I cannot wait!!!
This interview may put you on the map 🤘🏼 can’t wait to
You guys rocked it at the Liberty Ball!, 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Agreed on Changed being their BEST song they've ever written. My favorite song of all time from my favorite trio of all time.
I can never listen to the Offspring in the same way after they revealed themselves to be slaves to Big Pharma and how they pressured their own band members to take drugs that were historically harmful to them... Shame on Dexter and Noodles!
The real truth is do what the fuck u want its your art you get to decide what happens too it like snoopp dogg always says record release dont give a fuck what they think al long as u like it repeat
he never told them to change their art, he's humbling them, I'm confused why this comment was made
@gigachad64 ig I misunderstood the meaning behind the video lol
Just seeing this. Man, I adore Granger & Amber Smith. Thank the good Lord for Granger's farewell tour. That was a magical time and the band & G were incredible. Super grateful for this new chapter, God magnifed, God glorified by both Granger & Amber Smith. Thank you for this awesome interview. YeeYee y"all and God bless. ❤LiveLikeRiv 🚘
You all looked so handsome job well done ❤❤❤❤❤
I just watched the liberty inaugural ball and I’m so happy that you guys played Fly Over States
Fun episode guys (and sorry for the late review, I drove back from my 13 year olds hockey tournament in Utica today - TK's neck of the woods!). Really enjoyed the debate and banter, like always. The football talk is always good - the Aaron Rogers stories from K-Lo were really cool - but when you guys get into the business aspect of songwriting, it is "So Good" - to quote Tully. Amazing that many of these young songwriters aren't doing their research and don't know the history of the business. The four of you guys are legendary songwriters plus David Lee Murphy, one of the coolest guys on the planet, come on, how could you not know who he is??!! I'm not even in the music business and when a song comes on that I like, I either know who wrote it or I go look it up. I'm in a completely different business than you guys (see Kash Patel for a hint), but I see the youngsters in my business are similar to these young songwriters - maybe it's a generation thing? Their approach/attitude reminds me of a comic strip clip my dad once gave me about 40 years ago where one guy asks "Do you think ignorance and apathy are the two most misunderstood words in the English language?" and the other guy replies "I don't know and I don't care." LOL! But I promise you my 3 kids aren't being raised that way! Love that Evan Williams Egg Nog made a return to the podcast - that past episode was epic! Kudos to Thrash for playing Trump's 2017 Inauguration and I'm so happy for TK and "Air Kurt" getting to play the Inauguration event tonight in DC (about 40 miles from me). Keep up the great work and I can't wait for next week already! Cheers!
Always look forward to watch this podcast and hearing there views on things people don't Normally talk about out in the open. Awesome job🔥🔥🔥👊
I enjoyed your podcast today like I have been enjoying all of them and thank you for having the podcast ❤❤️
Great episode!
You guys might want to check out this podcast it’s catching every other word
❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
All of us are happy for yall and President Trump 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
They fired their drummer during covid because he's immunocompromised and couldn't get vaccinated.
It is knowing how to listen!
He's not awesome. He's an angry little narc.
When business punks show no empathy……. that is not punk. They were never punk in the first place. Terrible band.
These two are simply beautiful, inside and out! Love the Aldeans!!!!
Great interview, Pete is a cool guy. I'll be checking out his new band. It was tough getting through that period, but glad I did... I've yet to meet anyone who regrets not getting the Covid Vax, but many of those that did wish they didn't.
The offspring have been one for my favourite bands since i was 13 (25 years ago) but i have to say i feel like dexter and noodles are probably absolute dicks. Few stories have circulated between treatment of greg k, this and pretty sure ron welty sued them for royalties too. I have tickets to see them later this year and this has honestly put me off going!
I know someone with lots of medical issues, on lots of medications, with a very good doctor, one that listens and keeps up with current research. The doctor told him DO NOT get the you know what. He’s had no issues with the big C. Good he listen to his doctor.
Great Interview!
Great conversation…his experience is transformative as this seems to be how many corporations deal with their employees…similar story to his is Jason Hook’s documentary “Hired Gun” (stream on prime?) - Liberty Devitto of Billy Joel fame. Either story shows lack of humanity in hiring/firing process…it’s only about business. Kurt, Tully, y’all are blessed to be your position. On side note…Steve and I miss you guys! Hugs from Texas!
Thx Christi! 💙
Omg 😂😂😂😂😂😂
What an incredible episode. I had not heard this story before, so sad. It amazes me that the people not getting the shot were the bad ones yet not one of you, including Pete said anything negative about those that chose to get it. What stood out to me on this episode was when TK was talking about Kurt getting covid and made it clear he was riding on the bus. Class act.
💯
What an absolutely fantastic conversation. Kudos to everyone. Especially to Pete, who is an absolute hero.
F2F Ignorance is Bliss is a top 20 album for me. Pete's the man!
What a hero! Second interview I’ve seen this dude talking about his experience. I got fired from my job back then for not being vaccinated. All the very best Pete for the future.
Merci !
Fellas this was such a great episode… never heard of Pete before but he seems like a really great dude. We need a part 2!
Love the show Pete seems like one awesome man glad things are looking up for him Covid sucks
I love dexter even more now. Dying of covid is not punk
Na man Dexter is a dick. That's no way to treat someone after 14 years. Regardless of changing drummers there is a way to do it and a way not to. I get the feeling Dexter is an absolute prick and I'm a die hard offspring fan of 25+ years
Just checking so my response is warranted. Are You being sarcastic?
@ sarcasm doesnt work on the internet. And I’m austistic, i literally don’t understand sarcasm. Thats like asking a robot if its lying
Love what you guys are doing! As a musician myself, I want to hear more from rock musicians with a spine and I appreciate you guys taking out the swear words. God bless you all.
great recap.
I'd love to hear more stories from the road with covid and how Jason and you all handled it. Like did you all get a lot of push back because of where you stand with covid?
Wow, as someone who is actually a part of the punk community, this is sad to watch and laugh at someone so triggered by what an absolute joke this is. I mean yes punk is anti authoritarian and anti capitalist plus when push comes to shove, we beat the fuck out of those who think like a bunch of mindless Nazis who think the confederacy was the greatest thing ever. Sad part is that you’d censor cursing?? What are ya a bunch of commie liberals??? Shit no wonder the conservative movement is an absolute joke these days. The fact that you have an idiot like this on a “podcast” shows how much you don’t understand countercultures.
Funny how I know exactly who he is and have no idea who you are. Enjoy your dozens of views
You don't know Jason aldean?
Very cool name for a very cool pod! Good luck
Pete's new band, The Defiant, is fucking incredible. It's the ultimate Punk rock supergroup.
