Sorry your boy went back at the vet and is not feeling well. It really comes down to the food and keeping him on the Urinary Care food to keep the pH level from forming crystals. Both the Hill's Prescription Diet C/D and Science Diet Urinary Hairball formula worked for OG. When I changed him to regular food and even stuff with cranberries, he got sick again and went to the vet, got on meds, and we had to do remedial litterbox training again since he thought the litterbox was hurting him. Only the Urinary Care food prevented him from having the crystals. It's very painful for them. Thank you for giving your kitty so much love and care! Wishing you both the best! Hugs! Thank you so much I put in on freeze dried a month ago and think that was a big mistake. I’m so grateful to hear from people are actually going through it and I successful. There were so much information out there and you think you’re doing something good and I realize you’re doing more harm. I have spent nearly $10,000 on my cat since 2017 .. the PU operation saved his life.

@@klmartini906 We did both wet and dry. I soaked the dry food in water and kept it in the fridge in a little container. The more water you can add to his meals, the better. So OG got a combination of a wet food mixed with water (like a soup) and the softened dry food. He actually liked it!

Hi Leslie. O.G. did get crystals again after I stopped feeding him the Hill's Prescription Diet food and he had to get back on and go through remedial litter box training again. It all comes down to the food since it's their chemical makeup that will make them prone to the crystals for the rest of their lives. Keeping the pH level where the crystals will not form is the key. I added water to the wet C/D food and soaked to soften the dry version. He remained crystal free as long as he stayed on the Urinary care food. Sadly, O.G. just passed away this summer from megacolon. He was diagnosed a year ago and was on medication (cisapride) for it and hung in there. Still feisty til the end, taking swats at my dogs and laying out in the sun. The megacolon kept him from absorbing the proper nutrients and he got very skinny and weak at the end. :( Good luck with your kitty! Hello @Becky Nemitz-Walters. I hope your kitten feels better soon and recovers quickly. Just follow the discharge instructions from the vet. I think icing really helps and being able to comfort him will help you bond to your baby cat. It's not awful - the drugs for the kitty helps. Mr. O.G. is still alive and kickin' and taking swipes at our little dogs now and then. He will be 11 years old in Feb. 2021 and he doesn't seem like he'll stop any time soon. Just make sure you stay with Hill's Prescription Diet or Science Diet to keep the pH level in his system correct so the crystals don't form again. I made the mistake of feeding him regular food and he started getting blocked again and thought his litter box was hurting him so he peed all over the house. We had to do remedial litter box training after he healed again and was back on urinary control food. I've found the Science Diet Urinary Hairball Control canned cat food works great, is cheaper, and no need for prescription. I mix it with the SD UHC dry version after I soak the kibble overnight and add extra water to his meals. Best of luck and a speedy recovery to your little guy! Love and healing light to both of you! i know this comment was from years ago, but my cat has been on a strict grain free diet for years. this only recently became a problem for him.

Those can be factors, but, for a lot of cats, it's stress and especially for boy kitties, it's just their anatomy.

My cats have been on a grain-free diet for several years too. I learned recently that there are other issues that come from the grain-free diets due to not getting enough taurine which can then effect the heart. Unfortunately, our "Lucky" is having chronic issues and we are seriously considering PU surgery. He's back on the Hill's C/D which has helped reduce the crystals, however he is still having problems urinating.

Fantastic! I'm sold on the Trininty and ELE since my main area of concern is the eye. As far as the face goes I do suffer from hormonal acne. Is it safe to use during a breakout? Have you used on a blemish?

Vanessa Redwine Ouchie. I have gone over a small blemish or two and it hurt so bad. The user manual says to only use on normal, intact skin and not applied over or around cancerous lesions, or on swollen, inflected or inflamed areas, etc. You can contact their company to get specifics.

I only did one full face TCA peel and won't do it again. TCA spot treatments worked best for me - I did one a month for a year (12 spot treatments). They definitely lightened the large spots that I treated but did not clear them away perfectly. Have you already done the treatments on that spot under your eye?

The ultrasonic is pretty fun - well, you know. :) It works well with microcurrent! Happy Holidays to you too!

Virginia Vargas I prefer the NuFace microcurrent because it's the easiest and less irritating to use.

In a perfect world, I would be doing this every other day... but in reality and with time constraints I'm at about 1 to 2 times a week right now. I found that regular usage is necessary early on and if you do that, the facial muscles bounce back pretty quickly if you have to stop for a while.

Right now I'm doing microcurrent 1 to 2 times a week because I've been kind of busy. I usually do this in the day when my husband is gone because he can't stand to hear the beeps and will make unnecessary comments about my skin care treatments like I'm bat sh*t crazy... :) Keep up with your treatments - it's totally worth it!

20% or 25% TCA may be too intense for your face. You really need to begin using chemical peels with a gentler peel which will also help with the acne. I would recommend something like Mandelic (an alpha hydroxy acid) which is also anti-bacterial. Acne scars (post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, red marks) takes long to fade but it will go away. Mandelic helped with my daughter's acne when she was 15.

Trinii1 I'm not sure if you saw my video on conductive gels yet. I have been using plain aloe vera gel. Just make sure that it is pure without the irritating menthol.

Sorry for taking so long to respond. TCA really dries out the skin and since your knees bend, I would not recommend it due to the drying and cracking stages. For the knees, you need to use sunscreen everyday but as far as a peel, you may want to use lactic or glycolic. There are lots of moisturizing lotions with alpha hydroxy acids that condition and smooth the skin, layer sunscreen on top during the day.
