I sold my house and moved across the country, and Buffy was not on any of the channels at the hotel where we were staying. I saw the last 4 episodes 7 or 8 years later, but I saw this on MTV (remember when there was music on music TV), and it stuck with me as I missed out. The song made me so sad in a few ways.

2024 a classic, and it shows how depressing buffy really was.. saving the world, and never really understood, because of the weight she had to carry she had friends, but they could never understand the weight on her shoulders
It's so hard to describe to people who have never watched Buffy how unbelievably brilliant it is. And this moment - when Tara leaves Willow in season 6 - is the gut-wrenching emotional climax of the best season of televsion ever filmed. Michelle Branch sings ... my soul shreds into pieces ... my eyes fill with tears ... my heart breaks all over again. Perfection.
@@scottwallbank4794 Yes but with this song when each character in the show seemed to be going in a separate direction hit hard, Willow from her partner Tara, Giles from being Buffy's watcher and Buffy from her friends down into the darkness where only Spike could provide the comfort that she needed. Fucking awesome representation on change with just a well placed song in said scenes.
If I was a writer for this show after the spell got broken amd everyone realized what willow did I would have had Tara look at her with anger and disappointment and say "not even one day we r done."
