She has won the State award for her song in the film Duniya, and the State Kempegowda award for her contribution in the field of music. Yaarigu Helonu Byaada, a poem by one of Kannada’s foremost modern lyric poets Da.Ra.Bendre has been composed by Bhavageethe exponent M.D. Pallavi and arranged by Susmit Sen, composer, guitarist and founder of India’s premier fusion rock band, Indian Ocean.
This is the first in a series of bhavageethes that Pallavi will compose for and collaborate with India’s renowned musicians and artists. The series will be presented by 2X Grammy Awardee Ricky Kej.
The song is a secret whispered into the ears of the listener. It is an invitation to travel to a faraway magical world where both can sway, feast, dance and sing untiringly. It is an invitation to be able to imagine an enchanted world of happiness in the lightness of a moment.

The line "ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಹೇಳೋಣು ಬ್ಯಾಡಾ" (notice that the last word is "ಬ್ಯಾಡಾ" rather than "ಬ್ಯಾಡ") is actually the "ಪಲ್ಲವಿ" or the refrain of the poem, that is meant to be sung after each stanza. Which is why I think it would be good to write it that way rather than as the opening line of each stanza. 🙂 In fact, here are how the first two stanzas are printed in the copy I have. The remaining four stanzas work the same way. Notice the "s" that appears after a few words. That is the ಅವಗ್ರಹ ಚಿಹ್ನ or avagraha chihna, used beautifully by Bendre in much of his poetry to signify the "extending" of the sound (and occasionally to bring the "Dharwad pronunciation" touch to it). ***** ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಹೇಳೋಣು ಬ್ಯಾಡಾ - ಯಾರಿಗೂ ॥ ಪಲ್ಲವಿ ॥ ಹಾರಗುದುರೀ ಬೆನ್ನ ಏರಿ ಸ್ವಾರರಾಗಿ ಕೂತು ಹಾಂಗs ದೂರ ದೂರಾ ಸಾಗೋಣಂತs || ಯಾರಿಗೂ ... ಹಣ್ಣು ಹೂವು ತುಂಬಿದಂಥ ನಿನ್ನ ತೋಟ ಸೇರಿ ಒಂದs ತಿನ್ನೋಣಂತs ಅದರ ಹೆಸರು || ಯಾರಿಗೂ ... ***** Otherwise, congratulations on the new composition! 👏 It is especially heartening that you have sung the *whole* song rather than skipping a stanza or two.
