Getting A Pickup Truck Running And Driving Again- 1992 Ford F150
Переглядів 48 тис.2 роки тому
Fixing a 1992 ford f150 xlt I have had for a year or two. I got it running shortly after I bought it but it had transmission issues. Worked on those then the truck wouldn't start. Here is my journey with this machine. Also, thanks to my ol friend Zed for the emotional and diagnostically support fixing this vehicle. 00:00 talking about truck 1:00 pictures loading the truck when i bought it 1:32 ...

Here I discuss a few axes I like. The Fiskars splitting axe, an older Collins axe, and a double bit axe, as well as one of my favorites…the Cold Steel Trail Boss. Then a storm comes in and makes me leave :( #coldsteel #axe #wood
Fixing An Old Craftsman Lawnmower
Переглядів 1822 роки тому
I picked up this older @craftsman lawnmower for free from someone that’s just said “not working”. So I finally got around to needing to mow something out at my shop and fixed this thing up really easy. Old carburetor fixes are fun. Ended up replacing it all together. Here’s the video. Enjoy. #restoration #diy #landscaping

Exploring A New Property To Buy

Starting to look for some acreage to build a new house and shop on. This trip I looked at two properties out near a big lake. Pretty rough and overgrown. Probably pass on these but enjoy the footage anyway. Really cool old stone house. #farm #land #ranch
How To Care For A Hatchet
Переглядів 4842 роки тому
I found an older Estwing Hatchet with the original leather sheath at a garage sale recently for $5. I like finding old quality tools and restoring them so they last as long as possible. Enjoy this little video of me tinkering around with this thing. #axe #restoration #diy
Fixing A Pressure Washer Engine And Pump
Переглядів 2862 роки тому
This is a Generac Portable Products model 01292-2 pressure washer that I got for $20. I cleaned up the carb, then replaced the carburetor and flushed out engine fluid wise and then I repaired the pump. The pump needed a bearing replacement and some new oil. #pressurewashing #restoration #engine
Adding Anchor Points To My Trailer
Переглядів 2352 роки тому
I covered my tie down points when I added siding to the trailer to haul gravel and dirt so I created a solution to that. I installed 5/16 x 6” eye bolts as high load rated as I could find and put three on each side and one in the front. Went really easy. Now I can tie things down and I’m happy! #trailer #modified #diy

Fixing an Old John Deere Chainsaw (this thing is dangerous!)
Awesome video on getting an older vehicle running. Shows what a little work and determination can do.
shouldn't it be sharpened?
Outstanding
How much are you asking for it?
Maybe try the Fiskars Fiberglass shovel ?
Anyone notice the ghost employee opening the shed door at 1:25😅
Thanks for sharing - now I know what to make.
A very clean 026 came my way recently and it’s perfect for my needs, and for most people’s uses also. Take care of your equipment and it will take care of you! You can order bucking spikes (dogs) online cheap too. Enjoy using the 026, it’s a classic.
Just got me a 96’ ford f150 , excited to fix it up , just curious what kind of obd scanners would you suggest?
Have a 026 for 30 years now. Still runs better than new. Adjust rpm to 13,000 with a tach and run 40-45 to one oil mix to keep the piston, cylinder and engine bearings well lubricated and it should run for another 30 years. Clean your carb with carb cleaner once a year. Keep the air filter clean every 2-3 gas tanks. Use proper tacky bar oil to keep your bar and chain lubricated. Most important is to keep your chain sharp. Better to spend some time sharpening a chain than having to spend money on chains, bars and sprockets. Keep the needle bearing lubricated too. Good luck and stay safe and at least wear eye, ear protection and chaps to save your legs.
aint nothing more beautiful than an OBS with a farmland back drop. whew. good job on fixin her up man
and who needs A/C when you got the ball chiller 9000s smoker windows 😎
Great truck. You worked hard on her. Should take care of you for a long time. Got a 96 4.9 5 speed 200k + miles in n her still going strong
beutifull place and nice woork

You are the best
Maybe someone pounded a wedge or something else that was hard and started the cracks. Pounding wedges generally will open up the eye but cheap cast steel might have been the problem too.
sigh.....constructive critisim here. Engine has nothing to do woith output on power side. Feild windings, there are 3 pairs. Test for continuity. Brushes or brushless? Makes a world fo difference. Could be the capacitor on trhe inside ofthe brush cover if so equipped. Brush length and condition? Didoes? Bridge rectifier . Oh that model, 75% of the time the feild windings have shorted to ground and its toast- no longer available to find replacements . Might get lucky and find another one with good windings but not to likely considering the age, Basic electrical trouble shooting.
Anyone working on the generators should have a tachometer to see if the generator (ones without the inverter) is running near 3600 rpm and a frequency meter to see if the voltage is close to 120/240 volts and 60 Hz.
@@ralphmowery2898 On the off chance that you haven't developed a tuned ear to what 3600 sounds like then I hardly see the need to do that. Most DVOM's have that ability to measure the RPMs ... Near 3600 isn't good enough. 3600 flat out at 60 Hz or nada. Hint: it may say 5Kw or even 9 Kw but the unit will only produce that if under a full load and even then, you will kill the unit. Most of these are not designed nor intended to run full out loads all the time. 75% is the rule of thumb. So with this unit, rated at 5Kw you're best bet to not overload the unit and keep it at or below 75% , roughly 20 amps, 1 outlet and only one. Pushing these overheats the windings and causes them to short and then fail. Sometimes I've even seen these start a small fire due to the windings in the stator grounding. You can max out any thing, but do you really wanna buy another one right away?
Very informative, thanks
You were adjusting the Governor response and NOT the throttle. Nice video and I was able to see an Item that wasn't set properly on my carb linkage and I thank you for that.
The jobs not done until theres blood.
Just found your channel. Love the “primitive” facilities you have and you make it work. Outstanding!
I'm in the process pf doing the exact same thing to a newly acquired weather guard toolbox and you saved me a lot of time with the easy keys and strut size!!! thanks for taking the time to make the video.
HI Kiddo, I was so happy when you got her running, you are the man!! God Bless ps, i just got me a 95-f-250 7.5.. 2 wheeler,i wish i knew how to fix things like you do.
Love that little hop you did when you pull started it like a two step jig.
Working on a 93 4.9 . It ran when I parked it , and I would start it ever so often. After parking The one or two miles I drove it was harder on the vehicle than the 180 thousand I had on it. Had to check all the grounds, all vaccum lines, all electronic parts , egr valve . And it still wants to idle high. It's a nightmare.
Great video I just bought one that was disassembled and was missing the spring for the governor arm adjustment I should be able to fix my generator now thanks to this video 👍
great vids!
Hey man, I love your videos. Keep them coming!!
Bought the same box $100 on Kijiji and had the same problem no keys and passenger side was locked. Stumbled across easykeys and took a chance and I glad I did it saved me $250 replacing the locks .
Awesome ! I Love Cheap And Or Free 🤠
94 . Engine rebuild....almost there!
Echo 452, worked on a bunch of these. Wait till you work on the carb, it's fun!
It's only 45 cc!
You make awesome videos dude. And I’m glad the old fords still kickin it keep up the good work!
Appreciate it! Trying to get some more up sometime soon!
@@WINOtinkery Hell ya any specific projects in mind?
@braydlotzer119 moved across the country. Trying to purchase a few acres/land development/shop build/equipment repair/trucks/etc.
@@WINOtinkery good deal dude I’m happy for ya! Property tour vid would be cool and definitely some equipment repair vids would probably pull u in some views keep it up!
Definitely subscribed after watching this video! Great stuff. :) Also a cheap alternative to test/potentially fix your injectors is hook leads to the injector and then up to an 18v dewalt battery. Injectors are 12v so an 18v power source give the injector a little more "oomph" to unstick/test them!
There more to come. Moved locations and have been busy!
That chain is f****d
Hola.me.funcionaria.con herramientas q trabajan a 220 ? Soy de argentina
All that chainsaw needed was TLC . You did a great job way to go . Your work ethics is amazing . You kept on going when alot of men would have quit . Cool video Thanks ! The only problem is there's no trees around you that i can see . Lol !
Wow really kind words. Thank you. Ya no trees hahaha
Freaking awesome video. Well done, thanks for taking the time to produce this, and your grit is appreciated.
Really appreciate it! Hoping to get some more videos out soon!
So strange that there’s no tachometer.
1992 was the first year for those generation Ford F-series pickups & Broncos. They were produced up through 1997 except the F-150s & Broncos were finished in 1996.
If you went through the trouble to replace the gas tank you should’ve replaced the fuel pump as well. I did not and I’m paying for it now because I’ll likely have to drop the tank again to replace the pump after dropping the tank to replace the pump seal two months ago. Edit: I guess I spoke too soon and should’ve watched the video because you’re doing that now lol
I bought a Fiskars shovel with a straight handle 5 years ago for gardening. Still looks and works great.
An ax is for chopping, a maul is for splitting. As you just demonstrated.
Axes can split very well sometimes
@Gordon Montgomery I'll use them for camping and limping, but for heating the house the past 25 years, no way with an axe. Also depends on the type of wood, a b d size of cut.
Such a beautiful location! Love your videos! Thanks brotha!
Well done! Great video 👍
18 dollars? No way their w3bsite had then for 80
It is a different shovel. The one shown on the website for 88.99 is a Pro model. 👍🏻
Beautiful Truck Sir. Man I love old truck's. If I had to choose between a new Hellcat and an old F150 with a 5.0 4x4 standard shift dual exhaust. I would choose the F150 everytime. Great work my friend. Plus you was able to keep it G Rated. Lol.. I'm an Army Veteran. I dont do G Rating lol.. I'm looking at a 1990 F150 4x4 automatic transmission. Man says truck will start and run. But soon as you put it in gear and push the gas it stalls. What do you think could be the issue? I love truck. But dont have deep pockets. Thank you for the cool video my friend. Drive safe.
We use these at work and break a few a year using them as pry bars and things like that, I reap on heavy rocks all day and they definitely have a good warranty policy that actually works. I can’t use any wood or fiberglass handle shovels anymore after using something so strong. 👍
😂😂😂dude You watched the Walking Dead? Your voice sounds kinda same as Daryl's. That's good 😂
Ohhh it goes with the western backdrop so we’ll!!! Cut and buff the paint. With Biden in office that old thing is worth 8,000 now.
