nice very nice and musical ❤❤🙂
my dad has the 20" version and it's one of the most brutal rides i've ever heard
I bet!
Excuse me, do you still have this? I'd like to buy it.
No, sorry
I have 2 of them. One of my favorites!
This is my first time seeing the 14" splash and 14" crash/ride. It's really unique... I hope you try using it as a hi-hat. It looks interesting.
yep, it sounds like trash. 🍻
Lol
you should use them as hihats
I just bought these on ebay. They sound awesome!
They really are nice Hats.
@seanwalton4687 I found a Rude 1000 14" Sound Edge bottom years ago on MGR for $25! (Well, with shipping it was $45, but still...). I can't wait to pair it with the Rude 1000 top. I bought the set because I cracked my original vintage RUDE 14" top at a gig last summer. I was so sad. Had that RUDE pair for over 20 years.
Its super nice. Being a Zildjian guy, i think the 18” Zildjian oriental china trash is the absolute king, but i appreciate this ones look and sound.
I seem to prefer power rides. Less wash and a clear, nice ping.
Cool! I have a 22" Rude 3000 China. Another rare beast.
That is a rare one indeed!
Zildjian on this one!!!!!!
I agree!
A 13" heavy splash?
Just "Heavy"
Sean, which one was your favorite?
The heavy for sure, very versatile
It sounds great 👍🤟
hey look, two cymbals I'd never ever buy lol
The Z Sounds like a crash lol brutal splash
Paiste sounds like hi hats. It sounds better the Z
👍paiste🥁👍🤩
Make Drumsets Huge Again
18 in. 2002 medium My all time Fav
The Rude has that silvery sparkle to it that the Alpha lacks.
To my ears, the 12 and 13 don't sound particularly good. The 8, 10, and 14 are beautiful 👌
Holy Moly. My 24" Paiste 2002 ride, which I consider ALMOST too heavy to give me the versatility I seek is only 3930 grams. (I got a lighter 24" Giant Beat ride at 2935 grams). The Z custom ride would be unplayable for my style of music. Extra-heavy duty cymbal stands need only apply here!!
Great cymbals, but that snare😶
I guess you didn't like the snare, haha. I had just put it on the stand without tuning. 😂
The best Zildjian ride for metal and hard-rock genres... I love it 😍
It's a good one!
I have the 14" Crash/Ride. Because Stewart Copeland had one.
I have paiste alpha rock china 18" briliant they sound to me similar?
I think so, yes
My dream cymbal from my youth! I don’t play anymore but would still love to have one! We weren’t a very good band but we had a lot of fun! That cymbal would have made me happier with my sound! Thanks for the demonstration! Sounds awesome!
Thanks!
I want to know why Tama and other companies don't go back to their glamorous sized kits anymore..
Maybe they will someday?
I wish I could send my Stambul65 22" ride for an addition. They were among the 1st B8 cymbals Paiste put out. It has Giant beat lathing and sounds great with just the right amount of wash. Its crashable and has a great bell. It weighs 2710 grams
Oddly very similar. Perhaps the same cymbal just restamped?
It's not, as the SE hat is just a few years old, and the 14" Crash/Ride hasn't been made in 30 years.
That's awesome! Big drums, big shows!
Thanks so much!
BB & BEM... very noice!
Thanks, I like this combo very much
I have that wonder, it still has its letters. For me it is the best ping in terms of a ride and that bell is killer. Greetings.
Great sound and great chops....! I have become a fan of your channel... Were you in the PO Forum? It was a great inspiration for me...! Is there a way to connect with you personally?
I was on the PO Forum. Look me up on fb.
I am curious about the weight of these... are they similar to the Thin Heavy Dimensions?
Yes, about the same weights
Wow! I soooo wish they made this still!
I have this one, its a gem... It has a amazing sound for me atleast... I use it with a 20" sabian hhx china... thats pretty dark and has some sustain while this one is the total contrast... ! Love it...!
He doesn't know how to tune the drum.
These drums are deep, square sized. There's no tuning them higher without squeezing every bit of life out of them.
I found the tuning perfect... I try tuning low as well... Maple sounds great tuned low... Though it's hard to achieve a good tune... @@seanwalton4687
Zildjian better dark cymbals
Muito bom !!!
Too low tuning. :\
awesome
Thin crashes sound sweeter
I agree!
Those are the heads I use. Emporers on top and Ambassadors on the bottom.
Same sizes as my last kit...i had a hard time getting along with the 13" tom. Too small for a floor and oversized to be mounted in front and tuning it was confusing.
How was it possible to get? I want 15" Rude hats like Dave Lombardo and Paul Bostaph use, but never seen them to be sold anywhere
They're not taking custom orders now. I have set of non-Sound Edge RUDE hats for sale, if you're interested.
@@seanwalton4687what size?
*DAMN* now that’s a drum kit! How did u achieve a kit of that size?
