A Compton Cop
United States
Приєднався 1 лип 2019
The is my intro video by Arnie Villarruel. True stories of being "A Compton Cop". I worked the streets of Compton for approximately 15 years. During that time I worked as an undercover cop in Narcos. I wrote well over 300 search warrants. Purchased and sold narcotics, while conducting reverse stings. Worked with various agencies (FBI, DEA, LA Impact, numerous DA Office's, surrounding police departments). Worked w/ the Compton PD gang, homicide, assault, robbery, etc. units. Numerous stories on getting hired as a cop, academy antics, training, arrest's and long standing friendships, as well as, losing great friends in the line of duty, illness's and termination of non-valuable friendships. narcos@acomptoncop.com
Wright laundering Money in Compton | A Compton Cop
The corruption at the Compton Police Department in the late 1980s is a significant and troubling chapter in the history of U.S. law enforcement. During that time, the department became infamous for widespread corruption, abuse of power, and ties to criminal activity. The issues were particularly severe in the Compton area, a city within Los Angeles County that was already facing significant socio-economic challenges, including high crime rates and gang violence.
Key Aspects of the Corruption
The "Compton Five" Scandal: One of the most notable events during this period was the formation of a group of corrupt officers known as the "Compton Five." These officers were accused of a range of criminal activities, including drug dealing, planting evidence, excessive use of force, and theft. The officers were part of the Compton Police Department's special crime suppression unit, and they used their positions of authority to engage in criminal behavior rather than uphold the law.
Drug Dealing and Theft: Some officers in the Compton Police Department were involved in drug trafficking, stealing drugs from evidence lockers, and even participating in the sale of narcotics. The city of Compton was a hotspot for gang violence during the 1980s, and some officers exploited this situation to benefit financially from the drug trade. Evidence tampering, including planting drugs on suspects to justify arrests, was common practice.
Ties to Local Gangs: There were also reports of certain officers having close ties to local gangs, particularly the Crips and Bloods. Some officers were accused of providing protection to gang members or even actively participating in criminal activities with them. This further eroded the public's trust in law enforcement and created a culture of fear and corruption within the community.
Excessive Force and Police Brutality: Corruption within the department was also linked to incidents of police brutality and excessive use of force. Officers, empowered by their own sense of impunity, engaged in violent tactics against suspects, many of whom were from marginalized communities. This further fueled tensions between the police and the residents of Compton, a largely Black and Latino community.
Cover-ups and Lack of Oversight: The corruption went unchecked for years, in part because of a lack of oversight. The department was relatively small and struggled with institutional weaknesses, including inadequate internal affairs investigations and poor accountability measures. Furthermore, many of the officers involved in the corruption were part of a tight-knit network, making it difficult for whistleblowers or honest officers to expose the wrongdoing.
The LA Sheriff's Department's Involvement: The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) also played a role in the situation. There were claims of officers from the Sheriff's Department working with the corrupt Compton police officers, further compounding the problem. In some cases, LASD deputies were accused of assisting in covering up misconduct or being complicit in criminal activities.
Consequences and Public Outcry
Internal Investigations: By the late 1980s and into the early 1990s, public outcry and growing pressure led to internal investigations within the Compton Police Department. Some officers were arrested, tried, and convicted, but the full extent of the corruption wasn't fully revealed until later, as more individuals came forward and exposed what had been happening for years.
Reform Efforts: The corruption scandal led to calls for reform in the Compton Police Department and greater oversight of law enforcement agencies in Los Angeles County. However, systemic corruption in other parts of the LAPD and local law enforcement agencies would continue to be a problem, particularly in the 1990s.
The Role of the Media: The media played an important role in exposing the scandal, with investigative reporting shedding light on the practices of the Compton police officers and their links to criminal activity.
The Aftermath: The scandal had long-lasting effects on the relationship between the police and the community. It contributed to the erosion of trust in law enforcement and fueled calls for police reform and accountability. For residents of Compton, many of whom were already skeptical of the police, this was another instance of abuse by an institution meant to protect them.
In the years following the scandal, the Compton Police Department was heavily scrutinized, and efforts to reform the department began, although it took many years for real changes to take place. The scandal in Compton was one of several incidents in the 1980s and 1990s that highlighted the broader issues of corruption, brutality, and systemic racism within American law enforcement, especially in urban areas.

👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
I was a Reserve with Compton P.D. I enjoyed every minute of it guys were good and Chief Webb was a great mentor.
Suge knight could not talk or retaliate in a voilent manner because ramport cops were behind the hit. Ironically Perez got lock up, Kevin gains dead and david mac lock up within a year of the betrayal of knight. A lot of chess moves were being played. I also believe reggie jr.
Yep! PAC🖖🏾 and BIG😎 were taken out for different reasons! I agree wholeheartedly with this assessment! 😊
VERY IMPORTANT INFO AT THE END...
I BELIEVE I ADDED SOME INSIGHT THAT'S NEW TO ALL OF YOU IN YOUR OTHER COMMENT SECTION.. I WILL BE SHARING MORE..

BRILLIANT!!! STRAIGHT UP GOSPEL!! I SAID THIS FOR OVER 25 YEARS.. OH YEAH THE ANSWER TO THIS IS LEONARD JEFFERSON(TOOK THE LAST PICTURE). A HOLLYWOOD CAR COORDINATOR AND WHOM HAD A CLOSE FEMALE FRIEND WHOM WORKED AT D-ROW. WHOM LATER DID MOVIES SUCH AS THE DARK KNIGHT, FAST AND FURIOUS AND TRAINING DAY. WHOM ARRANGED "SQUIBS" AND FOLLOWED CLOSE BEHIND IN A SUBURBAN..PAC LEFT ON A BIKE..THE WHITE VEHICLE EXITED ONTO THE BACK OF A TRAILER AT 11:21.. RUMOR HAS IT THAT IN THAT LAST PIC OF PAC HE WANTED PEOPLE TO SEE,"HE WAS TIRED OF BEING USED IN THE INDUSTRY, TERMINATOR MODE,DE*D SERIOUS"IS WHAT HE WAS TRYING TO RECREATE IN HIS VERSION OF ART.. THE COMA SERVED AS THE PERFECT GET AWAY.. THE GREATEST COINCIDENCE WAS PAC LAST THREE MOVIES GANG RELATED, GRIDLOCK AND BULLET (MATCHING HIS DISAPPEARENCE). ALSO IN ONE OF THOSE MOVIE "A COMA"WAS A BIG PART OF IT.. HE PRETTY MUCH HAD A PHD ON HOW TO ESCAPE (BLACK PANTHERS AND MOVIES).HMMMMM. HE TOLD MILLIONS WHAT HE WAS GOING TO DO LITERALLY MUSICALLY OVER A MILLION TIMES..GO FIGURE... I JUST SUBSCRIBE I'M ABOUT TO LOOK AT SOME MORE OF YOUR CONTENT..I EVEN HEARD THE GUY WENT TO MUTULA'S FUNERAL,HE WASN'T GOING TO MISS IT FOR THE WORLD..
I was under the impression that Lane was in a wheelchair for some time after taking some 7.62s to the legs after the Vegas incident
I'm thinking a trip to see you brother
Great video, we'd like to talk to you regarding your work, and clearing the air of some information we think may have been misguided. We emailed your website. Hope to hear back from you.
Thank you for the comment. There is a lot of air to clear. I did receive your email. I will be in touch soon. If not this week, for sure the first part of next. Thank you again.
@@acomptoncop3914 Perfect thanks!
Do you think Reggie was running the off duty cops at Death Row? Mack, Perez, Durden, Gaines, Martin, etc?
Half true. I don’t think he has nothing to do with Mack and Perez. They were rogue cops that went bad and tarnished the badge.
@acomptoncop3914 got it. There seems to have been different cliques within Death Row built around various characters. Sharitha and Gaines, Suge and Mack, Suge and Reggie, plus the sub camps around the respective artists. The police elements are fascinating.
Bros annoying as hell, have better character man and edit your videos…
Death Row was selling millions of records why would they need to launder money? Especially through a stereo shop. I dont know what the Wright's had going on the side but it wasn't Death Row money that needed washing.
You’re right. It was from somewhere else.
REGGIE THE RAT
The three of us should do a show
We will. Just trying to set it. Hope you’re well Brotha.
The story's of compton keep popping up it's brilliant
Thank you so much. It means a lot.
Glad we stayed away from that!
You ain’t lie. You ain’t never lie.
I'm an ex leo from a small department in Massachusetts. I find this whole sheriff gang thing fascinating. It needs a good limited series documentary.
Thanks. We hope to do more and put a documentary on this.
Deathrow didnt need to launder money V, that was the Wrights drug trafficking, nothing to do with Suge.
You’re right. It was the other monies they were coming across.
Why u guys set the gang office on fire before the sheriff's took over 😂 u guys burned all the gang files and pictures 😂 I remember there was a wall dedicated to all the cpt crips and wall for all the pirus and the rest was all the Mexican gangs. I was a kid at that time like 96 I was 17 at the time
You must’ve been in that office a few times. 🤣🤣. Too funny about the fire.
I retired
Who cares who's this clown
Dirty cops everywhere
Cops are dirt lying traitors. Pretty simple.
I have to say, I never had any issues with him. Sorry things turned out the way they did.
Entitlement, arrogance, and willful ignorance are the prerequisites to become a public servant.
I'm really disappointed with Randy Poulos but that Piece of Shit Villarreal Should be put under the Jail..🤦♂️
Plz explain the ball of wire hangers , was that to put holes in ur clothes or what
It was just a rookie having process to lock up their locker. Or other cops they didn’t like. They would have to use snip pliers.
@acomptoncop3914 10-4👍🏼🚬
Finally somebody said it. It never made sense that the narrative says the way Suge retaliated for losing 2Pac was to orchestrate the killing of Biggie while Orlando was allegedly walking around Compton “bragging about killing 2Pac”. Pac died in 96, Biggie in 96…Orlando 98 on a completely unrelated incident? Come on man lol
I get you, but there’s more to it than you know. It’ll all come out.
Sgt. Auner was a great guy!
We should do another show brother!
Yes, we definitely need to. I’ll get in touch within the next few weeks.
These guys are police officers that fully know that Snoop, Suge and Reggie Wright setup all the murders including Tupac and the guy they paid to get beat up at the MGM in Vegas to make it look like a gang shooting.
You’re right. Thanks for the comment.
Please keep these videos coming!!!
I appreciate it. More to come. Thanks.
I'm here because of RJ bond. ❤❤❤
Knuckle head bro!
Oh WOW. I’ve just been introduced to his work. There’s more that needs to be told. Thanks.
Keep bringing the heat!
Thank you. Will do!
This is 100% on the mark.
Thank you for your comment. Gives me inspiration.
Welcome Back Arnie
Much appreciated Brotha. Like I say, it gives me inspiration. Thank you.
It had to be said and you guys are credible voices ! Reggie needs to shut up
Thank you. More to come.
He knew they were not involved
Good to see you again. The whole Tupac and bigge case has still unanswered questions. I believe they where killed for publishing rights.
Many unanswered questions. More to come. Thank you.
Keefe d lies keeps the reginald wrights juniey and seniey out of prison for premeditated
Correct on all levels. Thank you.
Great video Arnie... Suge knows it wasn't them...they're just the patsys
Whole Compton PD knows what’s up
Thank you. You 💯!
Take that defaced flag down!
Take down that thin blue line flag , its violation of flag code and signifies a standing army at war with the public
Keep dropping videos
I follow you guys from Stockholm, Sweden 🇸🇪 Hope you will upload more often
Top much political interference- when you had Omar Gangster Bradley rubbing shoulders with the gangbangers and that councilman named " Patricia" involved in embezzlement and interference with police, the police dept was thoroughly compromised. What happened to Compton back then has literally happened to every Southern CA police agency today. I interviewed with then Chief Hourie Taylor and he felt I " wasn't ready for compton" - that actually helped me go to a larger LA County agency and have a great career. Unless you saw it yourself ( my family loved off Bullis) you couldn't and wouldn't believe what went down in the City! In 2000 I was at acompton Station with Sheriff Deputy friends- they found a near pristine 1960s patrol vehicle ( painted white with all its original equipment) in a storage building near the fuel tanks- the vehicle was literally buried under piles of old case files and copies of reports thay were never completed or thrown out) Today LASD still operates out of the Compton PD station , and it's even more worn out and decrepit than when Compton PD disbanded....
