    A seasoned recruiter might be in a position act that way, but, you seriously advising rookies to play "hard to get"? Am I missing something? Otherwise, top notch content!

    • @TriciaTamkin
      @TriciaTamkin 13 днів тому

      It's not about playing hard to get, it's about being discerning in the requirements you accept. If a company is vomiting the job on you in the first call, that's a red flag. If you slow down and do a deeper discovery, which doesn't include taking the job in the first meeting, you're setting yourself up as a partner and not someone transactional. This method works for recruiters at all experience levels. Thank you for your question!

    A company did this with my company. They posted ads and then hired them over video and sent them a check to buy new tools and to send back the amount they "Accidentally" gave them over the amount. They did it to enough people that I had to change our companies greeting when you first called to "thank you for calling Palermo Rhodes if you are a calling about the administrative assistant job please press one" and. it had an explination about what happened. The way they got candidates is they hacked my @info email and used that to fun free ads on indeed.

    When using Chat GPT as a dictation device with a candidate, is your purpose just to keep a record of your conversation, or is it supposed to be both you and the candidate? Am I missing something?

    • @churchofexecutivesearch
      @churchofexecutivesearch 3 місяці тому

      After completing an interview, you would voice to text your interview notes. Read them as fast as you can, and then use GPT to clean it up before adding it to your ATS or candidate presentation.

    These are excellent suggestions. I (like a lot of other recruiters) never really knew how to answer this question before but now I do. I'm so close now to getting my agency off the ground!

  • @okiedokie1238

    This sounds nice, but only for seasoned recruiters. Not beginner friendly at all. Let's imagine a rookie recruiter (without any track record) pitching a CEO of a tech startup. Recruiter receives CEO' reply. "Let's talk on Thursday" Thursday comes around, the call starts, and the recruiter's just like "hey how are you, how's your company doing bla bla". Cool. Anyways, It's time to wrap up, let's schedule another, longer convo where we're also not gonna talk about your requirement needs, but rather, we're gonna talk about YOU and me, and you know,..... etc etc. I mean, i get that someone like you would be able to pull that off,.. But, for 99% of recruiters out there that just seems as a subpar method (at least initially). Anyway, your channel is a gem!

    • @JTBote
      @JTBote 4 місяці тому

      Our clients have great success this way. I'll explain why: If you've gotten the "let's Talk Thursday," the goal of getting the meeting is met. They are raising their hand and saying, "yes, I would like to talk to a recruiter now." From there, you would go into the first Discovery meeting, (unfortunately this 8 min clip doesn't capture the whole thing.) You have time to research them before the meeting, talk to them during, and figure out if they're a fit. It's certainly a different video, but all too often recruiters choose their clients by "whoever needs this MPC" making a weak transactional relationship in both directions. There is an advantage of MPC though - you don't feel the rejection. If you send a candidate out to a thousand potential clients, you don't hear "No" 999 times. If a 1000 clients agree to talk Thursday, you're halfway there, but the rejection will feel more personal if you don't close it.

    I've been looking all over the internet for the past few years looking for a good split network, one that is reliable and doesn't charge excessive fees. And NPA sounds like the best one so far compared to the other (2) I hear the most about. As always Tricia, I value your opinion. Many thanks!

  • @marecee1054

    I've been told that it depends on the complexity of the role, the industry you're recruiting for, your level of experience in finding candidates, along with the efficiency of your own process in filling like roles. Anywhere from 10-20 active job openings should be sufficient for most recruiters, but if you're a seasoned vet like Jason, 70, would be more than reasonable. Everybody else though the 10-20 range!!

  • @marecee1054
    @marecee1054 5 місяців тому

    Wow I just loved this video (just hearing it today)! Funny thing is, I never felt quite right about using the MPC approach, although I suspect it's used by a lot of corporate recruiters. For me though, it always sounded too gimmicky. Thanks again for highlighting this widely used....but stupid idea!
