I've included some top knitting tips for beginners, along with advice, projects and reviews for more advanced knitters. I hope you find the videos useful and that we can inspire you to create something special that you will love!

How to Cast On - The LONG TAIL METHOD - Beginner's KNITTING
I've been watching knitting videos for a month straight and was getting frustrated to the point of tears with each one. I don't know how I stumbled upon your channel, but I think it's gonna be the ONLY one I need! I definitely need much larger needles to start with, and definitely wooden ones, but I'm finally actually looking forward to coming back to this channel this weekend once I have more appropriate needles and yarn. Thank you for this clear, patient tutorial!!!
Very nice and well explained. Thank YOU so very much. God bless. 🌹🙏🏾
You’re more than welcome! Happy knitting! 🧶
Can you edit the written instructions? There it says to knit until the piece measures 36 cm! It also says to end on the “wrong” side; is there a “right” and “wrong” side for garter stitch?
Good shout! No there’s technically no right or wrong side to garter stitch as the pattern created is identical on both sides. Thank you!
At last!! a video I can understand. I am a new knitter and I found this so difficult until I watched your video which made it so simple. All my stitches are cast on for my project in a matter of minutes. Thank you so much :)
Love this! Well done! Thanks so much and happy knitting
I give up it is so hard I can't use 2 sticks all at once😢
Oh no try and stick with it! It does take a lot of practice at the beginning! Good luck!
Thank you so much for getting right to the point of the video- it is so refreshing not having to hear an intro and hearing exactly what I wanted to learn from the start!
You are so welcome! 🙏 glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much for getting right to the point of the video- it is so refreshing not having to hear an intro and hearing exactly what I wanted to learn from the start!
these are so helpful! Could you ever do a rib or candle knit scarf tutorial with a fringe?
Oh yeah that’s a great idea! I’ll add it to the list! Thank you ☺️
I have a question what I do wrong...I cast 10 stitches and start knitting. 2nd and 3rd row I still have 10 loops and all of the sudden I have 11 loops or even more on 4th and 5th row. What do I do wrong?
Ahh this is a common mistake, first don’t worry! What you’ve done is knit twice into the same stitch, which is an increase - so you’ve jumped to the next level! After every row count your stitches and if the number has increased then look across the row and you might be able to see a little “bump” which is probably where you’ve gone wrong, undo to that point and then continue. I’ll do a video on it and add the link here for you soon! Keep practicing and happy knitting 🧶
Two questions: I'd like to make this with this yarn! However, the person I'm making it for needs Uber soft yarn (skin issues). Is this yarn soft? Also, I have a pair of size 13 takumi US 13 9mm clover brand needles. When you mention the size of the needles, do you mean 12 mm in size?
Thanks been a long time since I knitted.vert easy to understand.
You’re welcome 😊
hi!! i cant find any chunky yarn near me and i would really love to try out this project, can i do this with thin yarn and small needles?
I’ve wanted to knit and all these videos are so hard but yours I actually did it all thanks to you
Yay! Well done and thank you ☺️
Is there a reason why you are casting on this way?
Yeah 👍 I like casting on this way when knitting a hat as it creates a more stretchy edge but feel free to use a cast on method of your choice if you’d prefer! Happy knitting
The pattern is no longer available
The link for the pattern is in the description. It leads to her Etsy shop for purchase. Or we can just follow the video with pen and paper in hand write down the pattern verbatum and make the headband to our desired length. Easy peasy!
You are the best helper for knitting
Thank you that’s so kind of you to say!
Omg well explained very clear straightforward love it I’m so glad I saw you channel thank you definitely subscribed 😊
Awesome! Thank you! 🤩
Well i have to say a huge thankyou for your video, I've tried to learn to knit lots of times but just couldn't do it, but watching your video showing each step slowly has made such a difference, I've just managed to knit several rows! Thankyou!
Yay! That’s awesome! 🤩 well done!
Thank you so much for teaching me know to knit! I’ve been looking online everywhere and finally stumbled upon your channel! Just made a scarf! Can’t wait to try more ❤
You are so welcome! 🙏 this is fantastic, well done you!
I just can’t get the stitches on to the empty needle😞
How am I going to bind it off??
My recommendation to new knitters is to 1.learn continental style 2. do your own double pointed needles from bamboo sticks 3.make a hook shape to one tip of the needle and sandpaper them to give them soft slipping surface 4.use hooktips for pulling the yarn. I wish I knew all these at the beginning. Low cost, no hand wrist pain and fast knitting! That is all
I’ve been laughing at this cute cactus with the huge branch!! Love it!!! Love your channel!! Thank you for teaching!!
Haha! Yeah it’s a bit of a character! You are so welcome!
You're such a good teacher thank you
Thank you that’s so lovely! I appreciate that!
I have tried to learn knitting for decades. TODAY I succeeded. Thank you for helping my dyslexic brain understand. I can't wait to try all of your techniques!
That’s amazing! Well done!
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤😂😅😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤🎉
🎉
Hi, I noticed you didn't have a long tail, but used just the ball end. I thought you had to use a tail to wrap too. Does your method still give a stretchy cast on?
❤how can I get the written pattern for the heart
This footage looks pretty ❤❤❤
Honestly helped me learn, good job! 👍
Awesome! Thank you! 🤩
😮😮thank you so much I’ve been trying for two weeks and after seeing your video it all made perfect sense 😅 I’m so happy I’m finally getting somewhere 😊
Ahh this is awesome! Love this!
Thanks alot
More than welcome!
My first time looking into learning how to knit. Thank you in advance for helping me!
Yay! You’re more than welcome!
Thank you for such an easy to follow video, it’s my favourite pattern for making hearts by far!
You’re welcome 😊
I've tried various videos on how to cast on, and this 1 is by far the best for absolute newbies
Great to hear! Thanks so much
After watching several knitting videos, I finally understand how to cast on. Thank you!
The first row is simple but when I get to the second row for some reason the needles get too close to each other and makes the string very tight.
It sounds like you're putting too much tension on the string. Relax your hand with the working yarn.
14:47 this is where I failed, think I’m gonna go to crochet 😭
Thanks for sharing this with us.
More than welcome ☺️
Thank you for this video!
Thank you 😊
Thanks for the feedback I'm learning to knit its not easy but enjoying it thanks
Thanks Flock and fern it's great knitting I've been busy with kids life I will start to do it when I'm not busy
Love this developing sheep. FYI 'amount' is only used for things which cannot be counted (sugar, salt etc), number is used for things you can be counted, like stitches.
Thread your darning needle, then drop your stitches one at a time on to the darning needle (as though you were moving them from the left hand needle to the right hand one) and slide them on to the wool tail as required. Your technique is a disaster waiting to happen, especially for beginners. Terrific video. Reminds me of a Zaza sheep my Gran knitted me a few years (more than half a century!) ago and a cludgie roll cover she also made.
I've tried to learn to knit in the past and just couldn't pick it up. Your tutorials make learning so much easier. I managed to do a sample swatch and I'm very excited. Can you make a video showing how to correct it if you accidentally drop a stitch. 😅
Great idea! Will do! Thank you
Beautiful little shoe 💕
Thanks so much!
Wow I can’t wait to learn with you tutorials Teacher❤
Aww thank you 🤩
I didn't have a darning needle so I used a crochet hook. Before I took each stich off I would put the hook into the stich, take it off, and then thread the yarn through. It seemed to work pretty well! Thanks for a great tutorial! Looking forward to make the rest of the sheep 🐑🐑🐑
Ah that’s a great idea! Thank you!
You explained this so perfectly. I could watch all day but I have to go to work 😢Always wanted to knit. ❤
Aww thanks so much! Work always gets in the way of knitting!
