Kaitlin is a special talent. She fully, FULLY understands where the humor is and where there are opportunities to riff; making special moments and deepening contrast. Most performers mistake is going too big; projecting and blocking as though it was “theater”. Somehow, she and the others dialed in both nuance and explosive performances in a way that feels totally natural and believable. Charisma for days. Re-watchable for eternity because there are new subtle things to notice in each character/behavior as events unfold.

This is like a Mix of Curb your Enthusiasm and Always sunny, and the other lady is Dee, and Cheryl younger sister.

Pilot Dee is too “pretty” for the role. She would’ve seemed like a victim without KO’s particular brand of unhinged making her the guys’ equal.

The re-shot pilot is so much better for a number of reasons. From a screenwriter's POV, one way to make a scene more interesting is to give the characters something to do. Sitting and talking is boring. Drinking, waiting tables, stocking a bar in reality are not exciting, but on screen makes it so much more entertaining and far less boring.
