I’m Muslim and I also married a White female. Like yourselves we also had these open and honest conversations and agreements on how we will live, how our children will be raised etc. But once our daughter was born, emotions came into play particularly from the mother. Islam is uncompromising, it’s God’s Law and while there were aspects of the faith she was accepting of, seeing the faith being implemented in all its glory became a huge source of burden for her. We regularly fought and in the end we divorced. My daughter is now 17 and while she identifies as Muslim I would class her as a liberal Muslim. While her mother is happy as to how her daughter is growing, as a Muslim it saddens me that my daughter is not deeply rooted in the faith. Like yourself I have also become closer to my faith over the years and while you may think you won’t end up like my ex-wife and I it inevitably will happen unless one party completely lets go of their way of life. Wishing you all the best for the future.

After seeing your content for a while now I've concluded: You are both generally nice individuals. However it's quite clear the marriage of a Muslim to a non Muslim is not allowed in Islam. If this is justified in your minds as a couple then that's your choice. I'm not hating or policing, just sharing a legitimate view. It may be hard to understand. This is probably because we live in a place where anything and everything is acceptable there is no moral compass.

I love watching you both. It’s so good that you can have this beautiful relationship. My mother was white English who went to Bangladesh in the 60s. My grandmother bibi was very cruel to her. Her son had been taken away by a white women. My children are your generation. I have told them it’s their life I will not be here forever. I am so proud your mother excepts your wife . Not because she is English but none Muslim. I love your family. Religion is a very personal thing. I married a white Scottish man who has brought up my five children from my previous failed arranged marriage . I absolutely admire you both because you both are showing that mixed marriages do work. Well done keep doing what you are doing. ❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Dont know but why people in the comments section saying they converted(reverted) to islam cause his BF is muslim .....cause personally speaking religion is not a social media site that if I am practicing islam you should do that too... Religion is a guide to moral and spiritual happiness or peace... So if you are a cristian and buddhist or hindu it should not bother the other person cause its your belief system and your culture also( to explain this south asian and middle east muslims are totally different, and the way South asian muslim practice islam also different) so if you converting to islam with your south asian bf its not only you change your religion but your identity. Of you follow correctly converts are not converting their religion but culture as well so how you can say you are embracing each other by changing religion is a mystery to me. If I have a relationship with a person of different religion I dont think I will say her that convert to my religion cause cause I love the person, her religion and her belief nothing to do with my love for her...

If he was practicing then he wouldn be intermingling with women. So the problem in marrying really is that his future approaches, he might like to make towards deeper practice of his Deen, will be blocked by the prospect of growing away from his secular wife or having to swallow his desire to raise his religious standards. Really it's the same problem all secular Muslims face. Learn Deen first THEN marry. I remember wanting tattoos in jahiliyya but I put that off because I knew I might be religious later in life. A wife is much more serious.

Assalamualikum both; for me, it doesn't matter where we come from, or what color. It matters if he or she is a good person, honest, caring about each other, and most of all he or she supports bad times. If the person does not support bad times then he or she does not call a good partner, good times anyone come.

Islam is a religion that doesn’t allow such compromises like celebrating Christmas, no matter what form that might be in. This is the traditional agreed upon understanding of the scholars. Her making theological claims that it doesn’t make the children “any less true to their faith” is a stance straight from the liberal playbook. One of the things unique to Islam is its uncompromising nature and redlines. We don’t have this idea of tolerance and acceptance if something violates Islamic law. Unfortunately many Muslims, especially in the west have been mentally colonised by liberalism, where they compromise and undermine their faith in order to appease others. The irony is that these types of compromises only cause one to lose the respect of the very same people they’re trying to placate.

CONGRATULATIONS BROTHER, YOU'VE GOT YOURSELF A GOOD WOMAN MASHALLAH AND SHE'S VERY COMPROMISING AND UNDERSTANDING MASHALLAH,, GOOD FOR YOU BROTHER, AS A BRITISH BORN MUSLIM I THINK IT'S GREAT AND WE NEED GOOD PEOPLE TO SHOW, THAT US MUSLIMS ARE TOLERANT AND OPEN TO COMPROMISE, AND ISLAM IS A RELIGION THAT WORKS, EVEN IN THE WEST AND WE ARE NOT SOME MIDDLE EASTERN RELIGION, THAT IS SOME MEDIEVAL IDEOLOGY OR RELIGION OF YESTERYEAR & WE ARE TAUGHT TO OBEY THE LAW OF THE LAND, IT'S GOOD TO ASIMULATE AS LONG AS IT DOESN'T GO AGAINST OUR TEACHINGS. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH.
