Wiring a SAL S9784 selectable colour panel light into a TCI DALI Driver and choosing the colour
Переглядів 69Рік тому
The driver on the SAL panel light has a switch to choose the colour and three wires from the driver to the light but the DALI driver only has two wires for the panel. So how do you choose the colour of the panel when switching to a DALI driver? Works out it’s switching the combination on negative wires to choose the colour.

lol in the old SL-100 Switches, i use to use a wand from a toner and wand kit to hear conversations....lol
Awesome man this works for so many other things as well thanks for passing the knowledge. Immediately Subscribed
Just put the tile in place and tight cut the damn thing! Should’ve taken you 20 seconds or less😂😂
😂 i literally struggled for hours trying to get this set up using the instructions on netatalk's website, but after watching this video, it was up and running in less than 2 minutes! 🎉 thanks!
Wow this was a whole maths class 😮
Noice
Fucking waste of time get you a hook blade and cut that shit in less than 1 minute 😂 he marked it as if it was vct or lvt
How do you measure circumference etc
Brilliant Aidan, I've learnt something. 73, Jamie VK2YCJ
Pretty handy videos mate 👍 keep it up
Damn tou need a remake and some explanation of this, the result look amazing
1. Get 2 carpet tiles 2. Put both upside down, one against the column (tile A) and another directly against it (tile B) 3. Put a line on tile A where the tile would meet the tile if it were cut correctly 4. Measure the outside edges of the carpet that won't be cut by tile A and mark on tile B 5. (for the nail) use measuring tape to measure where nail will go by running it across the lines (freeze 0:02 and look at lines beside tile B) 6. (for the nail) Measure the carpet minus the two distances. Divide by 2 6a. If a carpet tile is 500mm, left side is 30mm and right is 10mm, do 500-30-10=460. 460/2 = 230. Go on left side of tile A to 30mm and add 230mm. Midpoint at 260mm. 7. put nail down, use string to measure midpoint like a compass and measure 8. Mark down, cut accordingly.
Thank you!
Easiest method..... Line up the tile on top of the one you're kneeling on right now. Toss another in the space you want to fill...it will overlap the one you lined up. Use your knife and follow the edge. Hook blade knifes work amazing by the way and you now a perfectly fit tile. Take out your scribe piece and install your fitted tile. You can also use this method for every cut around corners or door jambs. Your welcome!
Not as good as me
Тупее ничего не видед
This is ridiculously long when you can just use another carpet tile to measure
WOW! I about killed myself cutting carpet tiles on my first Rodeo...it didn't cut that easy...what kind of knife you using?
can you show us how to connect a raspberry pi to a AFP share like a AirPort Time Capsule? SMB1 support was removed from Linux kernel... so we can't connect to it other than AFP
Mate i have the same two connectors on my radio station. Its giving me greif by going into high SWR. When i bend the cable or move it, the SWR drops to next to nothing. What is a better fitting?? These fittings have been nothing but stressful!

Very nicw
Much too complicated... No way my brain can compute this method!!
Quick question ...why didn't you just put a tile on top of the row and use another tile to scribe in the cut simple, fast and effective without the need to measure or use a pen
And more accurate
This is what I'm looking for in a video!!
You have another sub dude. This is what I like to see on YT, people sharing very useful skills
@7:30 that's actually not entirely true. I guess coax cable would have been military but the use of shielded signal wires was around before coax cable. They used to bury pipes with signal wires as coaxial runs on big longwave arrays. So you might be right if we are talking about cable but the idea was around before cable.
Much appreciated.. Dead helpful.
Well your not on price work 🙄😳
very awesome 👍
Hello!! I would to know how did you find where the centre of the circle is?
Thanks!
For all the rest of us, never, ever cut your next tile by placing it on top of an already placed tile. You WILL live to regret doing it. Better to use the surface area you are covering.
Nice job
I have tons of these connectors that I will be scrapping soon. Any suggestions on how best to remove the cable?
Thanks a bunch! Worked perfectly on my vinyl tiles 👍
Brilliant. Great help. Worked like a charm. Thank you very much.
You're already doing far too much work. Just take a carpet tile and lay it up against the wall and cut the already laid carpet tile right where the other one is coming over at. Then just switch both tiles in each other's places. Quick and easy and saves you from having to do all of the measuring stuff shown in this video. If you are following a certain pattern in the tiles, then have the tiles in the correct spots before "measuring" or cutting.
A good time saver if your walls are square with the pattern, unfortunately on this job nothing was square.
What about where walls aren't square?
Sliding the tile to the short and long intersection and marking each point works.
You don’t even need a trimmer just with a hook blade you good to go
there is even easier way without pen but you'd have to remember to turn the one gonna cut cos it would go against wall
So clever thanks!
Very useful video. Thanks Aidan. Is it okay to do these complicated cut outs once the adhesive is tacky? I've got a few to do and, as it's my first time, I will most likely take a while to do each one. Just wondering how much time I've got?!
It stays tacky while clean, i've left it over a weekend and come back Monday morning and its tacky and ok to continue. Also i've just pulled up some carpet tiles that have been in place for 3 years and its still tacky. More important is to wait for the glue to dry tacky and don't put it down too soon while wet. then its just too hard to pull the tiles up in the future.
Great video, only thing you forgot was the pattern on the front side don't line up with what you already laid. The amount of times I've made that mistake. :(
He has lined it up perfectly. You should have gone to Specsavers…
Its a checker board pattern
Wouldn’t you need to find the width too?
What will u do when u have to cut for 46 r more than to it ???
It's the same exact method
Id have fitted the corridor in the time you took to cut one tile . Back Mark it and cut no need for a pen ... seeing most carpet tiles have black backing.
Good improvement on the method. For the video i had only cushion back tiles to work with so you can't see the cut with the knife only too well. Hopefully the feedback helps a few people improve. If you can do it fast great go make a video of it and share.
@@tipsbyaidan I thought the video was great. Doing retrofits in a new buiilding and looking for all kinds of advice in regards to carpet tile cuts. This is how I've been doing it, and it seems to work.
