In America, you are judged and condemned for everything you do. If you look closely at American films and watch American reaction videos, you realize how much of what is shocking to us Europeans in the films corresponds to the truth and reality in America. Whether it's the ridiculously thin door that the policeman kicks open or sick people being forced to go to work even though they're in a terrible state. We often think that the filmmakers are just making it up. But it's true that in America you always have to be on your guard so that you don't get labeled as something.

02:49 The American culture based of "life to work" and "financial success is all", the Germans "work to life". If you want to work less, learn to work efficiently and clever. All the points he called are right. But I think, it can become worst. If the far-right and Putler-friends-party win the next election.

Hello For almost 800 years, Germans shaped the city of Riga in the Baltic region. As a Hanseatic city, it was closely linked to its sisters in the west, especially Bremen, Lübeck, Hamburg and Rostock. A large part of the eastern trade of that time went through Riga - because the city was so conveniently located. The large river Daugava (Latvian: Daugava), which flows into the Baltic Sea here, allowed goods to be transported along a trade route that led to the Dnipro, the Volga and the Don. Bremen founded the city The Blackheads' House was the seat of a German merchant guild. Destroyed in the war, it was rebuilt in the 1990s. Above is a detail of the facade with a German inscription. This is precisely why the Bremen canon Albert von Buxthoeven founded a city on this spot in 1201, which he named after the nearby small Riege river, which flows into the Daugava here. Many German merchants then settled here, and in the 19th century ethnic Germans were still the largest population group in Riga, which at the time had a population of 100,000 and was part of the Russian Empire. They built magnificent buildings, including the "House of the Blackheads", the seat of a German merchant guild of the same name. Its façade is decorated with the coats of arms of the Hanseatic cities of Riga, Hamburg, Lübeck and Bremen Buildings that tell German history St. Peter's Church The columns are decorated with coats of arms of the city's old German merchant families. The most visible sign of Riga's German history is St. Peter's Church, whose 120-meter-high tower towers over the picturesque old town. It was one of the first Protestant churches in the world. In 1522, just five years after the reformer Martin Luther had challenged the power of the Pope with his theses in Wittenberg, Germany, the German merchants of Riga joined his protest in their St. Peter's Church. Both buildings, the House of the Blackheads and St. Peter's Church, also bear witness to the tragic end of the glorious history of the Baltic Germans. Greetings from Bavaria 😄👍👋

I'm not much of a western fan. But there are a few outstanding films. There are classics like "High Noon," "El Dorado," and "Two Mules for Sister Sara." Then there are two very old westerns from 1939 and 1940, "Jesse James" and "The Return of Frank James." Then there's "Broken Arrow" from my personal favorite, Jimmy Stewart, and the Civil War film "Shenandoah." And another Civil War film is "The Horse Soldiers." And as a Western parody, "The Hallelujah Trail"... And that's about it. That's not much for a big movie fan like me, considering the uncounted classic westerns that have been made...

You asked for my german perspective on america, here it comes: First of all: America helped Germany alot in dark times. Once Hitler and the Nazis were defeated Germany had te be built up again. Not only Building but also social and working systems. The entire political process changed and we became a stronger democracy. America had a big impact in that too with freedom of speech, equality and liberty. But besides of that really important and needed help we got to become to what we see ourselves as today, we do see EVERY bad thing they did. The most Germans I know would rather sell both kidneys than moving to america. Socialsystem is fucked up, Gun-Laws are fucked up, a lot of drugs in bigger cities, police brutality and law-enforcement from a differend book. Also Germany hasn't forgotten what we did to the world. We know how bad those thing can turn out. We really like Democracy and we love the base conpect of the EU with all it's Freedom it offers all EU-Citizens. And yes, it is very sad to see that the once so strong America, which brutally Ruled the World and helped us to get on our feet again, now breaks appart. People are getting into their "believes" instead of their actual knowledgebase. Today the directly spoken truth doesnt matter anymore in the US because so many people are delusional enough to just ignore it or disvalidate it in there head in an instant once spoken. We kinda have the same problem over here with some hardcore theorists and re-appearing nationalism stuff but the major amount of citizens disapprove those movements, especially the AFD. Hope that helped to see the situation through the eyes of one german individual in his mid 20's

this is one of these winnetou movies of which "Der Schuh des Mannitou" is a parody. These movies were cult. German movies, mostly filmed in yugoslavia in the 196x. they had a great landscape and a good soundtrack. well, the story itself hasn't much to do with the books from its writer Karl May.^^ ua-cam.com/video/qXWJWB3tR0g/v-deo.html

Befor you watch "Der Schuh des Manitu" you should watch the the original "Western >Winnetou<". That are a couple of films from the 60th based on the books from Karl May from 1893. They where produced in Germany. Actors were Lex Barker and Pierre Briece. In our times you can visit the "Winnetou-Festspiele" in Bad Segeberg.

Karl May and his novels about the fictional Apache chieftain Winnetou have had a lasting impression on Germany's youth since their first publication more than 130 years ago, so much so that "Chieftain Winnetou" (or his sister Ncho-Tschi) is one of the most beloved disguises for German children for carnival season. And there are groups of Germans with "Indianistics" (Native American tribal life) as their hobby. And while the Bad Segeberg festival is nice (and referred to in the movie), the real Winnetou show is at Felsenbühne Rathen near Dresden. As Karl May was living in nearby Radebeul while writing the Winnetou novels, you could say that the rock formations around Rathen are the actual inspiration for Karl May's fantasies about the Rocky Mountains. There even are parts in his novels where you can tell where he was hiking when he was composing them. It also pays off to know Karl May's work to understand some of the jokes. The villain in the movie is called "Santa Maria", while the villain in Karl May's "Winnetou Part 1" is called Santer. There is another novel called "Old Shatterhand and the Halfblood Apanatschi", where the Native American character in the movie, Abahatschi, gets his name from - but as a play on words, because "Aber Hatschi!" can be translated to "But - Achoo!" Abahatschi's ponce brother in the movie is called Winnetouch instead of Winnetou etc.pp..

The movie is based on the short sketches from Michael "Bully" Herbig's Show "Bullyparade". In the show, they made a parody of the books and movies from the writer "Karl May" who is famous for portraying the american Wild West in his books and which later were filmed. The gags mostly come from the bavarian accent, the slightly gay undertone and the fact, that in this comedy movie the villain "Santa Maria" (who is portrayed by the german actor Sky du Mont) mostly is very serious while he practicly acts as a strict Kindergarten Teacher for his gang.

Unfortunately, this is only the Swiss TV version with very poor video/audio quality. The famous version, recorded by the German TV station NDR, differs in subtle but very important details. For example, the entire atmosphere of the room and the scenery is much more classy, more snobbish. Freddie's performance is even a little better and the audience even more frenetic.

US Americans, who all time Americans as they might think America is just them. Geography? Not the lesson they ever learned - or will learn. At the age of 12 i thought it might be very nice to live in the USA.... after age 18 my mind changed completley. I would never like to live in the USA: Trump is an idiot, healthcare s*ucks, and no one cares for another except maybe family members. US people didn't even wann know more than 4 blocks around their own habitat. And always complaining, when they visit other countries. "Well, y should i've could know that?". Hey, never heard about google or wikipedia? The stupidity in that is not that US Americans r dumb, they just didn't wanna know. I was told by name, that i have be french.... my name says it tho. I was born and raised in Hamburg germany, and an US guy told me, that i was wrong, cause my tells him tho. That is just the reflextion of the US education system. Thanks for reacting.

I am a little older (could be as old as your parents) and my view of America has changed somewhat. As a child and teenager I did visit a few European countries: Spain, France, Great Britain, Benelux and Denmark, but my first trip without my parents was to New York. Later I was even engaged to a German-American and in the 1980s I even had a permanent residence permit for the USA, but my partner at the time did not want to live in the USA. We often went to the USA, but we stayed in Germany. (I - at the time 22 years old - could also have imagined living in the USA). - I cannot imagine the latter at all today. The USA has developed so many disadvantages and in retrospect I am glad to be able to live in Germany. I also say this because as a travel enthusiast I have visited 33 other European countries, several times. Scandinavia might be an alternative to Germany, but you live in darkness there for half a year, which is a bit too long for me. And by the way, I know Great Britain quite well, but compared to Germany it's a complete shithole.
