Snatches when you can see your breath are always more anabolic.
Will be curious to see how the new approach to off-season works out for you, man! Thanks for bringing us along.
I like the Rodhe "double" strap they sell. Gets nice down the forearm.
Nice. I like to tape to the forearm.
In these couple peaking videos you talk about cutting out accessories, 3 x 5 on main lifts, and focusing on throwing. My question is, how many weeks before a Games do you feel is ideal to enter a peaking phase?
Generally 4-5 weeks. But for me it depends on when the last block ends.
Once Ponzio figures out the rest of the implements...watch out!!
Yeah, Dudes a powerhouse.
Cleans are my worse lift by far. I just dont have the hip explosion for it. Working on it though
Is this a good website to learn math?
No. We can only count to 9.
Great chat guys!!
Thanks for watching.
Good training vid man
Thank you
Very spacious new set-up. Heavy sets with volume as back-off is always a solid plan.
It’s nice to not be crammed into the single car garage anymore.
GVT FTW...LFG!!
Que "Its been a while" by Staind lol
Lol. I’m thinking “New York Groove” by Ace Frehley
Mikes my buddy! I love him!
Was not expecting to get to Star's Hollow on the podcast.
Never let them know your next move.
All I heard is Danny is skerred of bears.
YOU AIN'T WRONG!
I love the lightweight class and obviously Highland Games in general! Keep putting out content, boys!
Also Kyle beat JVB at the claw this year. And a healthy JVB is unbeatable right now.
@@nathanburchett503 interesting. Is that because of decathlon scoring?
@@jacoblangworthy the claw is standard scoring. Kyle just had a really good day. Only 3 people have beaten JVB since he turned pro. Damien Kyle and now Vlad.
Love this! Thanks for posting. Especially love the discussion on certain marks to move up to A.
I’ve gotten a lot of pushback on those numbers. Lol.
thanks for posting, looking forward to more highland games and bro/nerd content
Appreciate you covering peaking, man! I understand the concept, it is more the execution, so these have been helpful. Good luck in NY!
So how do you keep your elbow from dropping before the throw?
Are you talking on stones.
@@jacoblangworthy Yessir! Was watching your stone throws and thats the biggest thing I saw that you're doing vs what I'm not
Nice looks good
Thank you.
Congrats dude 🎉 im learning alot here
I been watching your videos and listening at your critics on your self a d dude it became really helpful for me to help me auto critic my self when it come to practice days keep it up youre doing great 👍🏼
Looks solid
You: Makes corn joke My wife: *Groans* His jokes are so much worse than yours. Time to dial this shit in lol
I'm interested in what your peaking phase looks like.
It’s super simple. For five week I build up from 60% to 75% with an easy rep scheme and on the week of the games I treat it as an easy deload. That’s the elevator version. They is a lot more that goes into it but is athlete specific.
Great content brother!
Thanks.
Get some!!!!
Best music taste
What's you training regimen? How do you split between weights and throwing? And how many reps u get a session? Been having a tough time juggling both
That’s a lot of questions lol. The program I run is essentially a version of 531. Unless it’s a speed block, then it’s something different. Pre season lift 3 days throw 3, in season lift 3 throw 4, off season lift 4 throw 2. At this point in the season I put a lot more emphasis on throwing, i will cut a gym day if I need to, for time or energy.
@@jacoblangworthy okay! I do 3 lifting and 3 throwing usally during season. Throwing numbers have been subpar this season for me. But might try switching it up.
Alba Gu Brath 💪🏴🇺🇸♥️
When did you start with the new cast on the LW? Maybe try Spencer tylers diagonal start if your moving from your old cast. Thanks for the videos man. Learning a good bit
enjoying the voiceovers
Этот бро реально в средневековье
Like this new format
I'm still not hitting over 50 in LWD constantly and speed in low.
interesting to watch such a wide range of techniques in one group
Love the idea for the mic’d up training video!
That intro is perfect “Run with caber and toss” music lol.
Nice song choice impending doom rocks
Great to see you headed to the next level. Your dedication is inspiring
Thank you brother. I appreciate your support. 🙏
hmm
height classes should be a thing
Or maybe a height to bar height coefficient for WOB. Lol
Huzzah! Congrats
Thanks brother.
Thanks for sharing this info
You look like that other dude who uses these hammers, but you actually are doing something; good stuff
Who’s the other dude. Lol
Nothing to help throwing more than green hills of tyrol
Brilliant video glad ur hitting PR’s in training is it twice a week that you practice events and do u give it 100% on each throw 👍
Thanks for posting all of these! I am learning some new ways to try out open stone!!
Glad it helps.
Just go pro dude lol
