An old house located in Jiggs Nevada. The whole town consists of 4-5 buildings, a few of which look like this. It's a great place to check out if you are ever visiting Elko NV.
Commissioning a Symphony in C - 8 bit
Переглядів 3,7 тис.14 років тому
I cant take credit for composing this. I found the Midi file here: www.angelfire.com/empire2/vintagelayer/midi/midi.html, and used a program called GXCC to convert it to 8 bit. I CAN however take credit for realizing this song would sound awesome as a chip tune. Enjoy!

Our border collie Riley jumps over 6 people during a family gathering!
I feel this only the beginning of some rabbit hole.
Absolutely incredible to bring something new to this chestnut done by everyone including Django . I thought the Tornados version (under title Malagueña) was most nuts but this is the most insane version of this song I’ve ever heard
What's interesting is that shamisen players used to be seen as riff raff, most of them blind and buskering to get by playing door to door for money or rice, hence learning shamisen were kinda looked down upon as a "poor people thing". Then with the nationalist rise and cultural push during the 60's, some of the still alive blind shamisen players suddenly became poster children for the whole movement (ironic term given most of them were very elderly at this point). This just so happened to also be during the time when surf rock started making it big in Japan and a lot of the local bands, Takeshi Terauchi & the Bunnys being an example, were quick to pick up the shamisen.
I see ninja and cow boy riding in Siberia
The most awesome subgenre of rock is eleki traditional japanese covers of russian songs.
Вообще-то это японская песня кто-то из Великого Советского Союза украл её
one of the best version ever!
ну и ржака
That fingerpicking thing that He does at 1:09 is fucking insane!
The guitar at 1:09 holy fuck!
Such a great song. This would be amazing in any Tarantino movie.
Super excellent cool!!!!!!
I found a record called Guitar Mood from the 1960s that included this song (among other Teraushi hits) in the basement of my college radio station, KDVS, while I was voulunteering there. I thank God for that day
I love that he didn't just try to copy The Ventures. He had a totally unique take on surf rock.
Absolutely nuts past 1 minute
RIP Takeshi Terauchi
Hy my friends, take a listen to my new Surf song ("California") from my first album: electricillusionist.bandcamp.com/track/california Listen here my Surf Rock Playlist on Spotify: open.spotify.com/playlist/5dUgW3eTECfnh2avLM9gpW
This song was recorded in 1967. The shamisen player is Michiya Mihashi(1930-1996). He was active in the 1950s and 1960s. He was a well-known Japanese folk singer and a Tsugaru shamisen player. He belonged to the same record company as Takeshi Terauchi. This session is very valuable.
this was a 1963 california surf instramental......also Dick Dale
He has his own special touch✌💐💕💕💕 freedom to we the people
I was right up the front for this!

This is just insane. Love it!
Nice work i love
Can someone please post "Ski-A-Go-Go"?! Thanks!
The most underrated Japanese rock legend...It may sounds quite strange for rock fans outside Japan, Takeshi Terauchi and his bands Blue Jeans and The Bunnys have almost never recognized as "rock" artists here in Japan...People including their longtime record company King Records(who own the extremely overrated 70's folk/rock label Bellwood) still think that they merely had been "Kayokyoku(Japanese Schlager or MOR song)".
Koshu Sticky Rice, eastern sticky rice, Really sticky rice, tastes that hypnotize! How I love you so, I can't let you go, White as snow you glow as the seas aflow! Such a pure mouthfeel, and it just got real And I flop like a Salt and Pepper Seal! I shall harvest you every week or two, Fill me up anew, that's what you do! Cross the Doman sky, on a yol I fly, This I can't deny with the botanist eye. Haters must think twice, should they realize Nothing fills you like Koshu Sticky Rice!
Looks like one of those Mormons, prob learned this on his mission
Ex-mormons. But yes. Miss you Sergio
@@AaronCanaday miss you too man
Globalization: An Eastern European song, Ochi Chyornye, played by a Japanese band featuring a Japanese instrument, the shamisen, and an American-manufactured guitar, which itself originated in Iberia descended from stringed instruments brought by the Moors (mixed Arab-Berber people from Northern Africa)
actualy Ochi Chornie has great surf rock cover in the end of the early '60s from Chad Atkins - you have to educate yourself a little more about R'n'R
And it sounds GREAT
Globalization or signs of a soon to emerge internationalist world order ? 🤔
This should've been in Kill Bill Vol. 1
WOW!
Bless that Fallout New Vegas radio mod for introducing me to this music!
Takeshi is a Grate man of humanity
Old vs New (or what was once new in the 60s)
I have been using this video for 10 years now. How have I still not learned.

Oči čjornyje
I love how it starts slow and gets faster. It really ADDS to the INTENSITY! ☆~♪
Yeahhh!, flipo con el solo de shamisen.
A shamisen-infused surf rock cover of a Russian folk song? That is beyond cool.
Steven Ostuni what's the folk song's name?
I believe it's called Ochi Chyornye. (The only reason I know that is because the comments beneath mine pointed it out. I looked it up though, and I do believe they're correct.)
Russian folk lends itself surprisingly well to surf rock
It's not really a folk song. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Eyes_(song)
ua-cam.com/video/IOZl7gXj_io/v-deo.html is indonesian rock band version
which album is this song on? any help please friends?
Just FYI, there is a version of "Dark Eyes" on the album "Eleki Guitar No Subete", but it is NOT the same as this version. I like this one better. This version appears to be a single B-side as mentioned in another comment. Catalog number HIT-718 from Seven Seas Records. www.flickr.com/photos/gojira2012/3361067460. The A-side and B-side can be heard here: ua-cam.com/video/0enx4F7jJUg/v-deo.html&feature=emb_logo.
