I have been listening to this song since I was a teenager really struggling and suicidal. I was bullied in my own home for being a homosexual and this song helped me keep moving for so long. Probably played a part in saving my life. I am 27 now, and I am proof that it does get better. ❤ Thank you so much. It does get better. I promise. Just keep going.

I just came here to say thank you so much for this video. It helped me when I was a teen and struggling with coming out and dealing with hatred. I am now 27 and I managed to stick around, and I am so glad. I am now openly out as a non binary trans person with a wonderful husband who I met not long after I saw this video. We have been together now for 8 and a half years and it really does get better. No matter how trite that may sound x

When this came out I was in my early 20s, struggling with my sexuality and I would listen to this song. Today I'm 31 and I can tell you that it really does get better, I met the most amazing woman and she is everything good in this world to me. So I say to all the younger ones, trust me, it really does get better. Edit: we will be getting married

I really wanted to love this song. I wanted to share it far and wide. But the expression "for the men in their skirts" is too much of a challenge for me. I am sure there are some men who wear skirts. But it's far to easy to interpret this line to be talking about trans WOMEN. Women of trans experience are NOT men.
