*There was a lot of really good teachers back then. Some of them were really colorful and had a good sense of humor as well as good character. A great many of them had lived amazing lives before they became teachers and had incredible tales of adventure to tell. The students (most students) could be very mischievous and sometimes a little troublesome (drugs , etc) but nothing that was really bad. The girls were absolutely awesome. Cool and friendly. When I look at what high schools look like today completely fenced in with cop cars all around , I can't help but wonder what the teachers inside those prisons look like. Do they all wear jackboots & carry a stick???? God help us all.* 🙄🙄

High school was a difficult time for me I was a foot shorter than the girls 40 lb overweight with crooked yellow teeth and a bad case of gas the ugliest girl in school would not give me the time of day so predictably I played with myself a lot and overtime went blind

Let's face it, people. Technology back then was stupider, simpler, didn't spy on us. The real world still retained its contours. Now with the invasive social media and graphics getting prettier than the actual world, now that's s a problem. Short attention dopamine highs in the down swipe in a Tktk app, that's a problem. Teens not being able to express anything in adult terms, that's a problem. The 70's and stuff, that' was The Hobbit. Now we're living in the Sauron-tech era.

People seem so animated and, all there, as opposed to the digital zombies of today.

i was only 5 in 1973 and i grew up in L.A. opposite coast from this but when i watch this old footage i never get over how thin everybody was back then! i thought nothing of it at the time.

Oh how my heart pines for the world we left behind. I was born in 1980 , most of my life was experienced through this particular perspective of the world. The innocence in these teenagers, and their confidence that a world just and righteous was waiting to accept them on their own terms was a big part of my reality as well. Where the hell did our world slip away to, and who agreed to let it go? The people I grew up with was far from perfect, we had our differences, made so many mistakes, loved each other passionately, trusted one another, respectfully supported each other’s thoughts even when we disagreed, we defended anyone who was unable to do so for themselves, if one of us needed a helping hand there was always a smiling face willing to come to our aid, sure we fought and argued as well but at the end of the day there was few grudges. We understood that part of our humanity was rooted in the necessity to humble oneself as an individual. Noone can agree with 100 percent of the people 100 percent of the of the time. Knowing now that the institutional paradigms we once held so dear are part of an agenda engineered to divide each of us has allowed mistrust and a high level negativity to effect our daily lives. It would see now more than ever that the future for our species is a bleak one and hope fades away , riding as it where a ticket out of town along the very shattered lines that continues to polarize the western society. Will we ever get back to that place called home??? Thanks for the share!!
