Hey there! My name is Kian and I make videos sometimes. Whether it's travel videos, gym videos, random thoughts, or guides I am sharing bits of my life and bein' myself. (Bein Kian) I have goals of traveling to every country in the world and building a global community of like-minded and authentic people so that no matter where you are, you aren't alone. Thanks for taking the time to watch my vids and read this :)
You need to do this: London & Dublin in 5 Days
Hey everyone! It's been a minute! My friend Berit and I finally reunited after two years of not seeing each other and decided to explore London and Dublin as an end to my travels and start to hers. We started in London, hitting all the must-see spots like Tower Bridge, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, and more. We even grabbed some tasty bites at Borough Market and wandered around Camden and Chinatown.
Then, we headed to Dublin where we saw Trinity College, a handful of churches, the Dublin Portal, and Howth Cliffs, not to forget having a blast on a pub crawl. We even squeezed in some partner acrobatics at the college!
This trip was all about reconnecting, making new memories, and just having tons of fun. I hope you enjoy watching our adventures as much as we enjoyed living them! If you liked watching this video, I would appreciate a comment on your favorite part! I respond to all comments:)
See you whenever I make another video!

I'd like to get the larger version of this bag. Can you let me know how the xpac has held up over time?
It's been amazing! I use this bag every single day for university, for the gym, for grocery shopping, and ofcourse on my travels. It's been just about a year now and it hardly has any marks on it. Spent 10 months living and traveling in like 15 countries! I'm sure the bigger one will be epic too!
He’s so minimal he doesn’t wear a shirt hehe love it
My cheat/hack for international travel is my Scotty Vest, I travel internationally mostly in Sept-Oct and March-May, never gotten a second look, except one time I was using a Peak Design bag and the gate attendant asked i was a photographer and I said yes, everything was weighed, except my vest which is where all my camera gear was
That's a super good hack! Thx for sharing:)
❤
Ryanair is ONE BAG ONLY, so you can take anything out!,,,
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great video and loadout. One thing that I noticed is you're using the stock apple charging block(s), which are huge. You'd probably be able to cut down on some size/weight by getting a GAN third party one that's a bit smaller but still decent wattage.
Thank you! That's a great bit of advice haha i'll be looking into that. These apple blocks are massive!!
How tall are you? Would that bag not look too small for a 6 ft?
I'm 6'2" and you can decide how it looks! haha
What a Lovely Couple.
Awesome video, can't wait for my own Aer backpack too
Amazing! Glad you enjoyed it. Which backpack are you getting?!
@@BeinKian I got Aer Travel Pack 3, the large one. Can't complain at all.
@@szisz1835 That's amazing! So glad to know you're enjoying it:) Currently on a trip with mine right now!
Do you not have marinas or docks for boats in America ?? a canal is a man man waterway made in Victorian times 19th century to transport goods. Oh and having lived in London all my life never heard of Borrow market. Sorry Shakespeare didn’t perform , he was a playwright not an actor - don’t they teach you guys anything in school 😂 love the video btw 👍
Thanks for the love and watching the video. Glad you enjoyed :)
The guards are real soldiers.Hope you enjoy my city of London.
Thank you! I absolutely loved it! I later learned the guards were separated so much from tourists due to being harassed which now makes more sense. Tourists can be crazy!!

Thanks!
For me, i wanted try one bag or 2 bags (travel backpack+duffel for longer trips) because i do not want to go through the hassle of checking in a luggage like eveeyone else. Currently im using the Evergoods CTB26, which is very similar to the AER Travel Pack 3 Small and its lighter by 200 grams and i prefer its functionality. For duffel im using the Bellroy Venture Duffel 40L and it only weighs 620 grams. For 4 days trip, ill just use the CTB26 , AER Day Sling 3 X-Pac and a packable tote from Nomatic or Peak Design for just in case. I have learnt to travel light from watching videos like yours and from my own travel experience. At the end of the day, i want to enjoy my travels and not get stressed out over unnecessary things. Travel light and smart my friends 👍
Thank you Kelvin! I'm impressed with your variety of knowledge on bags haha. So many good bags for a variety of uses. I couldn't agree more. Enjoy travel and get rid of the stressors! The thing I didn't realize before getting into one bag travel is that its not about fitting everything you need into a single bag, but meeting carry-on requirements which are ever-decreasing around the world haha. Thats when the weight issue gets to be a bit frustrating considering my bag + mac book weigh precisely 3.86kg according to chat GPT! Enjoy your light travels!
Bro! I’m so happy for you doing what you love. Rooting for you! 🙂 - Q, from Global Summit in South Africa
Hey Q, thank you bro its been so long! I hope things are going well for you💪🏼🤙🏼
why do we men still wear underwear... there's no need i stopped years ago...
🤯😂 genius
Bro, your backpack and computer alone (not including the chargers etc) weigh 4 kilos. Adding in your tech gear (no clothes, no toiletries etc) and you're well over 7kgs. Just saying :)
Good point!
Looking good!
looks so so much fun! love the fish shots hahaha 🐟🐟🐟
Thanks Leena😁 lets get some in Tenerife!
Keep it up!
Thanks! I'll do my best:)
I now understand why I need a trip to Bali
Lets make it happen!!
My advise for tops in Asia is to bring: 1) 3-4 t-shirts and 2 polos made of a variation of different materials such as 100% merino wool, cotton, mixed cotton with polyester, and pure polyester. The problem with cotton is that it is difficult to iron and in Asia, with high humidity %, it takes ages to dry. That variation of materials gives you the flexibility to play with according to circumstances, temperature, humidity and laundry/drying time. 2) Plus a mixed cotton zip-up jacket or sweatshirt with 2 zipped pockets outside (I hate pickpockets’ paranoia) and two pockets inside, plus a light raincoat. 3) The same applies to short or long pants, mixed materials except for my Levi’s 501 🥰 4) For elegant shirts, I normally bring a dark blue merino wool long sleeves from Massimo Dutti just in case a situation calls for it. I bring a water spray to remove wrinkles and use vodka instead to remove smells when no time for laundry
I forgot, Lacoste, Hackett and Ralph Lauren polos made of 100% cotton are elegant and very posh, but terrible to iron. Better Timberland 100% cotton or Brooks Brothers Supima 100% cotton or no logo mixed cotton-linen from Massimo Dutti. I just hang them and no need to iron them.
Wow! Thanks for such a detailed bit of advice! I love learning about other peoples travel styles and strategies. I will be checking out that dark blue 'elegant shirt' from Massimo Dutti since a nice shirt is something I should add to my setup haha. Overall smart techniques for keeping the setup efficient! You say water spray, and is that literally just water? Or how does that remove wrinkles? Haha I just leave things wrinkled or get em ironed depending where I wash them
@@BeinKian I have not sailed the seven seas yet but I have visited 67 countries so far! 😅 Yeap, a simple spray with plain water ! Just hang your shirts and apply the spray over the clothing wrinkles and wait cpl of hours till dry. For the merino wool shirt, important is that it is made of merino wool (less wrinkles, odour resistant as it is antibacterial, less need for washing) and dark colour, hence ideal for travelling. MassimoDutti or any other good brand like Boggi, not sure about brands in the US, I am European!
@@alfonsohshk8998 Sweet that's great to know! I love my merino wool shirts so much.67 countries is incredible! I hope to get there someday, I'm currently in number 28!
@@BeinKianJust hang the item, spray plain water, or, also can just dampen your hand, and wipe the fabric, smooth fabric out with your hands and let it dry. It really works!
This video is like teleshopping with the amazon links that, most probably, brings a profit.
Haha I would love for that to be the case, but as of now I have made $4.61 from amazon comission which isn't even enough to recieve it. ($10 minimum) It was cool to learn how to set up though!
@@BeinKian haha, ok! Thanks mate!
Still packing the apple laptop charger? ditching that with my Aer bags and one bag trips was one of the smarter things I have done. They are so big! (Apple Charger)
What would you recommend as a lighter alternative? Thanks for the critique!
Nice pecs!
Man, I appreciate you sharing the thought process of trying to get the bag down under 7kg! A lot of explanations miss what a game this is. Move things around to meet the goals of the moment. Heavy stuff goes into pockets or the personal items during check-in, out of the pockets and back into bags for security, back into pockets for the gate, and finally move them to the spots you need them to be for the flight. You touched on it briefly, but you have options: the main bag, pockets, wearing some items, and your sling. I keep a 2L sling and a packable backpack as my options. I use a 38L North Face Phantom ski pack; the main feature is that the top-pocket clips off, becoming my official personal item, and the main bag fits into typical carry-on dimensions. The sling and top-pocket can fit in the packable backpack if I get hassled. But the whole solutions is just really comfortable to carry when it's all put together.
Thanks for the kind words! Agreed, its so important and often overlooked how to actually meet the 7kg requirement. Also appreciate you sharing your gear as well! It's always fun to know about other peoples travel setups!
This is what I am planning to do for my trip…I have always been team carryon but I have never done one bag for two weeks…I have usually had a roller suitcase and Pakt backpack…..I’m challenging myself to only pack the Pakt bag and bring 2L sling for things I will need on the plane. I appreciate the video and all the comments from everyone. As a woman who wears men’s clothing, I try to find that content cause all the women are packing things I don’t wear or use. lol! I tend to overpack so I am trying to be intentional and not pack for what ifs.
Well done! I live in the Philippines and just returned from a week in Wales and England. My one bag for travel is a 45l Osprey. Compared to you, I had less tech yet more warm weather clothing. I find it empowering to walk off the plane, go thru immigration, and keep walking past the luggage turnstiles and go straight to the train, bus, or Uber pick up.
That's awesome to hear! Agreed haha it feels really cool to walk out of there with your single bag! Weather definitely changes the backing a lot. Warmer clothes are essential, but take up so much more space. I'll have to cross that road at some point haha
You don't need the bottle of water because where can you refill in bali? you can't drink the water there. you will get bali belly
So how do you drink water then? Buy plastic bottles every time you need a drink? Most places offer filtered water if you ask (obviously don't drink the tap) and I bring / fill my bottle at my villa or anywhere that has clean water. I haven't gotten Bali belly and have spent over 3 months here:) I mean its up to personal prefrence, but I feel like relying on buying bottled water is a waste
@@BeinKian bruh as Indonesian i have advice to you , please don't drink Indonesian PDAM water , we don't have drinking water filtration technology like in Singapore 😂
@@mguvron6604 haha I don't drink that water, only bottled or fill up my bottle from the big blue plastic jugs that everyone has/uses. Or is that what you're talking about?
Why carry a brick for 1TB? You can get an SD card in that size. Or a 1.5 TB micro SD.
For video editing you need an ssd with high read/write speeds to be able to properly work off of it. As far as I know, you can't edit off an SD card haha
I travel w 4 pair of quick dry underwear and just wash them in the shower w me at the end of the day so I always have fresh undies
that's a smart move!
It's all good unless you're 6'5" 275 lbs. Minimum two bags. My shoes could be considered a carry on. Ha!
No way man that's wild! Definitely something I didn't account for! Would be nice if airlines automatically gave people extra space when they were above a certain height. Its not like you choose to be tall haha
I was very close to paying almost $250 for a tour but I think ill just walk and take the train. Thank you for this video
I'm glad you found it helpful! I hope you have a wonderful visit to Pisa :)
HI. I also think this is the best way to travel the world. In short: lightness, money saving, time saving ✈🎒
The part without a shirt on, was completely unnecessary to explain one-bagging which I have been doing for more than a decade.
The comment about the part without a shirt on, was completely unnecessary to explain to those who watched this video, that it was in fact unnecessary.
@@BeinKian find better shirts.
love the seek discomfort flag
Aer have some of the most thoughtfully designed bags out there but at over 1.5 KG for just the bag I would bring one of my 36 L UL hiking backpacks at 900 G. Currently I'm using the Osprey 26+6 because it's 0.8 KG, and can actually fit as a personal item or expand up to 32 L.
Yea I agree, it’s definitely not the perfect bag. Would be for me if it weighed less. Still I haven’t found something I like more given how functional it is. Ill check out that Osprey bag, it sounds cool!
@@BeinKian my biggest issue with this particular Osprey 26+6 bag is it is very utilitarian looking, High on practicality but low on aesthetics. If I had the cash I would do the GORUCK Dyneema line to get a lighter bag with a material that will last your lifetime. But it's $599 for the 26L and it goes up from there!
The best is the Belroy transit 28, just 1.1kg and has the best features of any bag I tested
@@leotravel85 That sounds like a really nice bag, I'll check it out! definitely on the heavier side currently although its been entirely worth it so far since my bag is a day bag, weekend bag, and travel bag
Agree with you on one bag travel. I, too, have the Aer Travel Pak 3 but I find it warm against my back. Have gone to a Tortuga pack, works better for me. otherwise agree and solid video!
You know I do agree with you on that! I’m currently traveling in Europe and with all of my layers on plus the bag it gets a bit too hot. Shape/functionality makes it worth it for me but cool to hear you found something else!!
Enjoy bro😊 salam dari Bali
solid moe bro!
Thanks mate! 🤙🏼
Wow, the cove at 7:46 looks absolutely unreal. Awesome video. Thanks for sharing the journey!
Thanks for watching it man! Happy to hear you enjoyed :)
Okay. I get traveling with less and doing laundry more frequently. However I do not agree with wearing the same shirt over and over without washing it in hot humid weather. I just KNOW people can smell you from across the room. And no, I don't believe people who claim "they don't stink because they wear merino wool" or "use natural deodorant". If you're not missing the gene that's responsible for making sweat smelly, then you stink. And that gene "mutation" is only common across East Asia. So...😅 you're probably one of those stinky backpacking tourists.
I always pack one bag only. Wear your jacket or pullover and heavy shoes at the airport. You can always wash undies in the shower with you at the hotel and throw them over the railing. Pack dr bronners soap. Does body and laundry (and hair if you’re a man).
Dr. B’s is the best! Those are some helpful tips too🙌🏼
Hi Kian
Hi Daven😁
Love it you shared useful vlog~ 👋
Thanks!
One bag travel is a must for 2-3 days, maybe 4. Also depends if I’ll have access to laundry. Osprey 32L Nebula is my #1 at the moment. Also i just discovered blister hydrocolloid patches!!! GAME CHANGER and so small, can fit anywhere.
Couldnt agree more! And thanks for sharing that tip too!
¿The AER travel backpack you use it’s the size of flight personal item? Thanks!
In all airlines I have been on so-far with this bag it fits under the seat no problem, but I can't say all airlines will accept it since I haven't been traveling with this bag long enough. Here are the dimensions: Length: 19" (48 cm) Width: 13" (33 cm) Depth: 7.5" (19 cm) My guess is that some budget airlines wont accept this bag as a personal item and it will count as a carry on bag instead. The size requirement they have listed is: 40x20x25cm. Good luck with your bag search, and if you choose this as your one bag its great!
I always travel with a single bag. The real uneasiness for most folks to try travelling with a single bag is due to their old mindset that a wheeled luggage must go along for long distance travel so that they could bring everything along. In most cases some of the stuffs inside the heavy check-in luggage is redundant. So, pack light and get that nomadic vibes when you go travelling places to places just like I always do. Thanks Bein Kian for advocating this form of one bag travel.
That was beautifully said, thanks for the kind comment! 🤙🏼
Love the seek discomfort flag!
Hey thanks!
Excellent packing for a You Tuber, who have to bring copious technology wherever they go (what? No drone? No circle light?) For those of us who travel to beautiful places just to enjoy them, the only tech you need is a phone. Less tech then means you don’t need a heavy, expensive backpack. Your high school Jansport is more than enough. No problem getting to less than 12 pounds total, at a fraction of the cost. Can’t do You Tube, though.
Hey Terry, thanks for your comment. Yes, I couldn't agree more! I have a good friend who recently did 3 months in eastern Europe with a 10lbs of gear and a Jansport bag. I would say I lie somewhere in between the two. I am content with a phone, GoPro and mic for my equipment since I don't care for high quality production, more-so for raw & real moments and whatever else I decide to add later. (Like instead of drone I use google earth studio + map animations to help tell a story). I bet at some point ill do a trip with no computer or extra equipment.
nice video! I typically travel with a backpack and a tote bag that I slide under the seat on the plane, but I'm currently tweaking my packing to truly fit into one bag. My biggest pain points aren't exactly my fears, but a few luxury items that I know I'm being stubborn on. Every time I take something away from my pack, my brain immediately goes to "oh! now I have room for xyz random item." Still training the brain. I now travel with a Dakine Split Adventure 28L that I added a light hip belt to. It's pretty lightweight and since I'm petite, it doesn't look as bulky on me as some other bags, but there was a learning curve on how to properly pack it. Also fits most budget airlines in the US as a personal item, though I haven't tested it out. Had I known about Aer and Evergoods before then, I might have tried one of those bags. I think they're both well-constructed and designed, but they are both a bit heavier than my dakine.
I hadn't heard about your bag before, it looks nice! And I totally understand that, its easy to justify extra when you have the space. The tote/bag combo is nice too, but even just having the option to put the tote into your bag is my ideal scenario like what I did with my little 8L shoulder bag. Even then, I ended up with just my phone, airpods, kindle, and charger at my seat and everything else in overhead bin for the plane. Leg Room!! Agreed about the pure bag weight. My bag already weighs nearly 4 lbs empty. I bet your bag is closer to 2 or 3 haha. Thank you for the kind comment:)
