Jocko is a successful guy, and it seems Demming happens to have dirt on every successful former navy seal. When you get successful, there is always gonna be people that will try to tear you down. SF was a mess due to Clinton era DEI (before it was called that), wrecked a very professional relationship between males and females in the unit. 1st SFGA in particular, that's were I was on a HALO team, then stood up the SOTIC cell. SF units were in such a shit show that Natick Labs did an entire 18 series wide survery. SF guys were terminating their "S" status to go to regular army units. I think there is a lot of "he said, she said", but I don't think claims are completely baseless, Jocko's career didn't really go anywhere after Ramadi TU Bruiser deployment. you mean any 1' who enlists , signs a 4'year enlistment contract and swears an oath of allegiance , graduates from basic , becomes an 11-B goes to AIT , volunteers to go airborne , makes it through the Benning jump sch , do well in an airborne unit , again volunteers for the ranger sch and if he's not completely exhausted the try to make his way to bragg and selection and even before any of this happens most don't even make it through a lot of the shit before ranger sch yes their are mishaps that happen , the only easy day was yesterday

I was in the USAF from 1970 to 1980 and worked as a technical representative for Sikorsky Aircraft with the USN and USNR from 1980 to 2012. I saw a little interservice rivelrey in the USAF but nothing like what I saw in the USN and USNR. There is a special rivelrey between the USN and the USMC. I thought this rivelrey is bad. I tried to find the original source of this rivelrey. My guess is that it started at the very beginning of the separate services. I also worked with the USMC, the US Army and the Australian Army for a little over a year. I have heard a lot of wrong Bovine Switchology in my 40+ years working for and with the US military. Not nearly as much with the Australians.

I disagree on your comment where his being a Major in the NG doesn't qualify him for Sec. of Defense. I think it's one of his strengths. He's not corrupted by the actions of the General and Admirals staff officers but has seen them in play and may even know their misdeeds over the decades.
