I always try to aim for the exhaust to be designed so it comes through the wall. For wall vents, investing in higher-quality options is wise. Also, please ensure professional installation by a skilled tradesperson for the fan and ductwork. This can greatly improve performance and longevity. Prioritise quality over cost for reliable ventilation solutions. Sorry for being vague; I would love to have time to test all the different options. Hi not sure about your budget but the unpowered hoods like in the video are the cheapest ranging between £400- £500 + calibration,. Bsria in Bracknell is your best bet

Hi cookers are tricky, best practice is to hold the hood over the exhaust outside of the building from the kitchen extractor, this will give you your flow rate.
