Hard plumbing for your AGP is extremely beneficial, but you have to take into account pool flex! Here is how I addressed this issue.

How do you fit the pvc to the pool openings?
Where did you get or what did you use to connect the pvc to the (2) intake ports at the actual pool connection points?
You are from the future....
How well did this work because I’m thinking about doing similar
What size is pipe? Most other videos show a 4" line, why 4 as opposed to 3"?
Works in a 95 YJ with full soft doors? Mine has full soft doors…
Installed today and had the same issue with height. Came on here to see if there were any resolutions of something I wasn’t doing right. Glad to know I’m not the only one. Now to see what I have laying around to raise that magnet. Cheers.
Junk drawer coming in clutch! Tell wifey to calm her tits next time she tries to clean it out! 😂
I'd move the electrical at least 10' away from the pool
What would you ever use pvc for a soft above ground pool lmao
Can we have a breakdown of parts
Too much hose on the vacuum robot. You only need enough for it to get around the pool.
Your plumbing looks good! I did it where I used all 2 inch from and to the pump. Instead of adapting to the pool, I just made a square 2x6 support and went over the edge with my PVC. I also ran a 1.5 inch to my skimmer and it works perfect. I didn’t like the pipes that came with the pool. They failed in the sun. Your setup looks great though!
Gracias 👍
I knew there was a way to hard pipe these pools using part hard pipe, part pool hoses. I was trying to figure out how the make the hoses match up to the hard pipe male threaded fitting. Now I know. I see that you used the pool clamp fittings to 1 1/2" hose fitting on the suction side. That is exactly what I wanted to do. It would be easier to use those fittings and use hoses to hard pipe. Well done. 👍
Hey! Very good point! I actually use the rubber couplers vice the figuring out the 1.5/2" threaded connectors. It worked well for me. On the one port from pump to pool I used a vice grip to make little teeth marks around the pvc. This gave the coupler something to bite on when clamped. The only reason I went with couplers is the ports on my pump and filter had these barbed inserts made for the standard pool hose. None of the supply stores had adapters and Amazon wasn't a thing back then. LOL I thought the last ice storm tore them up but set up a newer pool, rebuilt filter pump and those old couples still hold. I like your idea. Since I ditched the crap filter pump I have those hoses, just need to get some 2' threaded ends and glue them on. I havent seen rubber sheets around but I bet std toilet gaskets are like 2'
that sound will be like ringing the dinner bell for the deer.
What pump do you have?
I noticed your pool cleaner on the bottom has a one piece hose. Did you do that or did it come that way? Mine has couplings every 2-3 feet and it always looses pressure the the swivel connections. Great video BTW
What size is your pool?
So you have a video how you did all of this also so you have a link on the vaccume you have
What salt water ionizer is that? My intex one always alarms too low of salt when it isn’t
PVC with Intex soft liner 100% wrong ....
I'm looking for any info I can find, specifically in terms of part numbers or at least names, Of plumbing fittings that will let me attach hard lines to my Coleman (Bestway) pool and Intex salt water system. Anything you've got will be helpful. I'm finding most PVC fittings use tapered pipe fittings with a slightly different pitch than the Intex stuff that seals with an o-ring and flat plate. Hoping to source everything I can from Lowes, Home Depot, Sutherland's, various farm and family stores and locally owned hardware stores if I can.
Great advice! Thanks! And what robot do you use? I have one but it doesn't get the corners
where did you get the rubber sheet gaskets? that is what I am fighting now, can't find them anywhere.
Add some regular hoses to the conections from the pool to the hard pipes. It will work as a damper for the wall movements. Great work!
Regular hoses? What kind of hoses?
Bad job lining the pvc up, everything is crooked and misaligned. If someone did my pvc like that I would fire them
I'm going with the 1 1/2 high compression hoses from the pool to the hard plumbing. no hard plumbing directly at the pool connection.
Could you show me what kind of fittings you put right there at the suction on the pool itself so I can get the right fittings. I have that same pool.
Good call.
What a great idea. Never thought of it being an issue. Thanks for the video 😁👍
Good solution. It is still best to have rigid Schedule 40 PVC throughout most of the plumbing, as it is.
First great video! Which pool cleaning robot do you have and would you buy the same one again?
I bought the Intex robot off of Amazon. For the $50 or so that I paid I would say it works great!
I did an almost full PVC setup. Everything except the pump and filter connections. They are hose.
Great video. I really like what you have done here. Jeromy, what did you use to connect the the 1 1/2" PVC to the outlets on the two suction ports coming out of the pool (shown at :16 seconds in the video)? I have the Intex 9 x 18 pool and our suction ports just have a 3/4" straight piece of rubber tubing that gets clamped to clear hoses in the stock set up.
Hi! I had to make a connection using a 1 1/2” pvc box connector found at Home Depot / Lowes. I cut the OEM hoses and robbed the threaded collar off of them. I glued a 1 1/2” coupling to the box connector with the OEM collar in between.
this is genius! what 5 morons hit thumbs down??? lmao they hating on you man .... means your doing good work!!
Good idea
thanx great video, now I just have to figure out how to do it
No night video !!!!! Waste of my time 😒
When you say you lost to much water. Was it because it was leaking around the gaskets or what. I have a intex pool and mine doesn't lose any water. So just help me understand where you were losing the water? Thanks
I mean that in order for the water level to be correct for the thru wall skimmer, I would have to run the pool with 3-4" lower water level.
I got you. Btw do u have to fill your pool alot from evaporation? Then heres a tip add one of these and it keeps it filled: Little Giant Trough-O-Matic Float Valve, Plastic, TM825 SKU: 217032299 This is the name and sku# at tractor supply. It only cost $11.99. Thanks for your video and hope you can use my tip. If you have a facebook page send ur link if you would like to friend me. Here is my email address. Larryharper6464@gmail.com. take care.
Jeremy you might consider putting in a wall mount skimmer. Easy to do and better than those in pool ones. Works better to. Other than that like your set up. Also you think the two input valves work better than just the one?
Hi Larry, thank you for your comment. Originally I purchased a thru wall skimmer, but the issue I had was because of the design of my pool, I would lose too much water level for it to work the way I wanted it to. I have been surprised by the Intex skimmer that mounts to the top rail really. Works better than I anticipated. To answer your question about having 2 input valves vs 1...yes I really like the ability to direct the input from where I want it. A good example is when I vacuum the pool, I can use the thru wall input and turn the skimmer off... This is especially important to me as the skimmer I use won't work with a standard vacuum hose adapter.
thank u so much! couldn't figure out why mine wasn't working...i needed to mount the magnet.
Damn that’s looks fantastic
I hope this is not a stupid question but why can’t you fry with the neck and everything else inside it? It doesn’t taste good?
I live up in Massachusetts I wish they had the seasoning here
Oh shit I hope this turns out well
Great video 👍
My Hyundai on my channel,, lights
brilliant, i was in the middle of switching to pvc pipes , thank you now it make sense to me , will make adjustments.
