@ lol! Once I stayed up till 7am😭😴 ty also!
If anyone's wondering, joined rounds is simply just a slip stitch at the end of every round and then chain one at the beginning of each round. Great pattern :D
@ScaryCarey thank you for explaining! And thank you I'm glad you like the video! 🤍
This is an awesome tutorial, thank you for posting! I made 2 of these for my parents for Christmas and they couldn’t believe they were crocheted. I have a few notes just in case anyone else wants to follow this pattern. You did a great job with it but just some suggestions for anyone wanting to make this piece! ❤️ TL;DR This is not a beginner project, faux fur is hard to work with, use a stitch marker, don’t worry about joined rounds, make a smaller nose, add hair as a finishing touch. Per 1 cow: 1 ball chenille, 2 balls faux fur 1. I am not a super experienced crocheter, but this is not a beginner project. If you have very little or no crochet experience, I would start with a different piece. Although this tutorial is exceptional, there are some parts that would be exceedingly difficult for a new crocheter (ie closing the body and head are never really explained so I relied on prior knowledge, doing a magic ring with the faux fur is quite difficult, etc). Oh, and the description box says new crocheters can use a stitch marker if necessary; I think the faux fur yarn virtually requires it unless you are VERY experienced. The tutorial doesn’t really mention that but I would definitely use one. 2. I used the exact yarns found in this video just in different colors. The faux fur yarn is VERY hard to work with. I wish there had been a bit more guidance in the tutorial on how to work with faux fur yarn. Luckily, it’s pretty forgiving in that you can’t actually see the stitches in the final product so if you fudge it a bit it doesn’t really matter. Try feeling for the stitches instead of looking for them; that worked way better for me in the end. If you can’t feel them, just do your best and it will turn out fine (I messed up so many rounds and it still looked great). I ended up just following the pattern (sc, sc, inc; for example) and not really counting. I just started a new round when I got back to my stitch marker. Also a random side note, I used less than one ball of the chenille yarn for 2 cows. I still have some left over and an entire extra ball that I haven’t touched. The faux fur, on the other hand… one cow used exactly one ball of faux fur yarn, but for some reason my second cow used 1.5 balls. So I would buy 1 ball of chenille and 2 balls of faux fur per project, to be safe. 3. I didn’t do joined rounds (just continuous) and it turned out even and symmetrical so don’t worry about doing those if you didn’t learn that way! She didn’t really explain how to do joined rounds so I would avoid doing them if you aren’t familiar. It makes the number of stitches more confusing in my opinion. 4. I wanted to make the nose a bit smaller so you could see the head better, so I only crocheted 3/5 rounds of 24 in the nose piece. Then I did the color change and crocheted the rest of the head as suggested. This made the head look more proportional in my opinion. 5. Lastly, I added a few sequences of chain stitches in faux fur yarn between the horns to make some hair. This turned out SO cute and I would highly recommend it! Sorry for the long comment, just wanted to add some tips since I didn’t see a comment on here from anyone who finished the project. This is a great tutorial and you are doing an awesome job teaching crochet! Thanks so much, and good luck everyone!
Thanks so much for your feedback and for letting me and others know your experience crocheting your cow! You really filled the gaps on what I missed/ didn't think of adding to my tutorial. I'm still new and learning how to make videos and sometimes I miss things lol. So thanks a bunch for your help! Also I would totally love to see your cow! If you have Instagram, please DM a photo of it!❤
He's adorable 🥰
😂 never known a pumpkin cat! But it's cute 🥰
😄 this fellow made me smile
That's one very cute cow! 🤩 🐮
thank you!
What an adorable penguin! 🤩♥️ The chenille yarn is very befitting for a penguin. I love the subtle sheen and the softness.
Thank you, I'm glad you like him! I had the gray yarn sitting around just waiting to be used! I thought it'd be great for a baby penguin! 💙🐧
Very cute! I love it.
You are a great teacher. Not to fast. I would recommend brighter lighting. That would help a lot.
Thank you! I'm glad you like my video! Sorry about the lighting, I turn on every light I have for my videos. I might need to invest in a better lamp lol. Thanks for letting me know! ❤
Adorable!
That is adorable! Thank you!
Love!!!

I need tutorial video now
I'm sorry, I don't plan on making a tutorial for Snoots. BUT, I do have a mini elephant tutorial, if you still want to make an elephant plushie! 🐘💙
Pretty
Thank you! 💙⛄
The front legs are a little confusing for me how does sc,Dec make it 8 wouldn't it make it 6 sorry just asking
No, don't apologize, I'm happy to help! The reason it's 8 stitches instead of 6 is because you're repeating the (sc, dec) 4 times instead of 6 times! So basically its 12 stitches in the Rnd minus 4 dec, which leaves 8 stitches in at the end of the rnd! I hope that makes sense! If not, please let me know!
Thank you so much
I'm glad I could help!💕💕
Sharing with all my crochet friends, I’m hooked! I love that it’s free! Thank you so much and I’ll try to get you up a few subs (telling everyone I know to subscribe to u)
aww! you're so kind!! I'm so happy you like the tutorial! 🥰♥
how many skeins of the premier faux yarn did you use?
About 2 skeins of the Bunny yarn. Make sure you get the Bunny and not the Little bunny yarn, they are not the same!
@ thank you!!

The mucous too loud in the video
Yes, thank you for letting me know, someone else has said the same thing! I've made sure to increase my speaking volume and decrease the music volume in my recent videos and will continue to do so in the future!
Is there any way you could make a tutorial for the original because the original was amazing and I don’t want to sound rude but I’m not really a fan of this version but if it is not possible then that’s ok but I just haven’t found any highland cow tutorials or patterns as good as the original one that you made! 🫶
I feel like I sounded really rude in this comment so I’m really sorry for that!
@@beardeddragonfern no no! You aren't being rude! But it is the same exact pattern. I just used a different yarn in the video. I did list the original cow materials in the description. If you use those materials and follow the tutorial you should have a cow that matches the picture!💕
@@CrochetByEmpanada oh sorry I thought it was a different pattern than the original because the nose looked bigger and the eye placement looked different but I think it was probably me paying too much attention to little details but your crochet is amazing!
I completely understand the confusion! The reason the nose looks bigger is because the fuzzy yarn I used in the video was 2 weight sizes smaller than the original. So because of the yarn proportions, it doesn't balance out the same! If you use a weight 7 fuzzy/fur yarn, it will balance out correctly! Hopefully this helps, and if you have any more questions please let me know! ♥♥
Ok thank you and I keep saying your crochet is amazing but it really is because when I first saw the short of the orange/ginger cow I thought that it wasn’t crochet because it looked so amazing
Justo lo que buscaba, gracias por compartir el tutorial. Yá deje mi like.❤❤❤
Yay! I'm so glad you liked it! Thank you for watching! ♥♥
Soooo cute.... 🥰💕🇨🇦

I am going to make this cow in 3 different sizes cuz it’s sooo adorable

Your a very good teacher! I just found your channel. Hang in there, your channel will grow.
oh my goodness! thank you!! you're too sweet! 🥰💕 I'm so glad you're here! And I hope you're ready, I've got lots of fun winter/Christmas tutorials planned!
Very cute!
thank you! 🎄💚❤
Why does mine look so much bigger 😣
It probably has to do with what yarn you used or maybe your yarn tension! I hope you still love him tho! Just think, a bigger plushie is more cuddly! ♥
Can I have link to the pattern please, I don’t use Instagram anymore thou 😅😢
instagram.com/p/DAixKYAu1sD/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== of course you can, here you go! And I'm pretty sure you can still view the pattern even without an account! Happy crocheting!💕

Hello, new subscriber here. This is so cute and will be next on my hook. I can’t wait to explore your other makes. Two things.. what is the brand of wrist guards you are using.? And if I can make a recommendation, I don’t mind the music but I think it should be much lower as it is very distracting over your soft voice. Won’t stop me from watching but for my learning style, it’s too noisy. I hope this is taking as constructive criticism as. Can’t wait to make this. Thank you.
Hii! Welcome! Thank you so much for letting me know about the music! I tried to turn it down as low as I could, I'll make sure to increase my voice volume in my future videos! I got my gloves from Walmart, they're "Equate Compression Glove, Black, One Size" they come in 1 per pack, so I bought 2 packs! I hope you have fun making your highland cow, and if you have any other questions please lmk!

if i cant make one, would you sell any?
I'm so sorry, I don't currently sell any physical plushies, only my patterns! but if you try to crochet your own and you have any questions please please ask! I would be happy to help you! 💕💕
My daughter loves cows and asked me to make her a fluffy crochet cow. I showed her literally every crochet cow available on youtube and she liked yours more than any other one. I'm making it for her for Christmas. Thank you from both of us!💙😍🥰🙏
Awwwww!!! Ohmygosh that's seriously so sweet! I hope she loves her Christmas gift! And if you have any questions please leave another comment or message me on Instagram and I'd be super happy to help! 💕💕💕
how do you see the stitches
I don't lol😂! I just feel the stitches with my fingers! But I've heard that you can crochet a light weight acrylic along side it (so like crochet the fur yarn and the acrylic together) and it helps to see the stitches better! Then at the end fluff out your fur yarn so you can't see the acrylic yarn.
So cute! I think a small twig for the stem would look cute, too!❤
Thank you! And that is such a good idea!! 💕💕
